Hello I am so very sorry that the pie did not come out well for you...The pie is so simple it just really cooks itself ...Did you use real butter and 2 cups of sugar? The texture of a chess pie is a sweet like custard ..Now there are 3 different kinds of chess pie a coconut chess pie or chocolate chess pie and lemon chess pie those are not like plain chess pie .. Please Look at other youtubers channels recipe for chess pie and you will notice I use the same ingredients . Don't give up on the pie try another channel recipe ...Much love Sandra
Well, I was not gonna let this chess pie get the best of me, so I made this chess pie again. For some reason butter forms a hard crust that I've never liked. I don't mind the flaky type of crust because that's what chess pies are know for, but I hate that hard type of crust. To resolve that little problem, I used a half stick of real butter, and half a stick Country Crock margarine. This time it turned out perfect. This chess pie turned out so good I decided to use your recipe and turn it into a lemon chess pie. It turned out perfect...YAY!!!!!!
