I made this pie and it was delicious! The only change I made was instead of the Carnation milk, I used 2% milk. It came out perfect!! I will use this recipe again!! ❤

It's good to know that the 2% milk works in this recipe. I didn't want to have to buy milk different than I normally use. Thanks

The first time I ate chess pie was in junior high school in mid-70s in Cincinnati. It was the most popular dessert in that school. I've been looking for that recipe for quite a while and yours looks just like it. I'm going to make it today and I'll let you know if that's the one I'm looking for.😀

I noticed you didn't use the mixer when you were combining the sugar and the butter. The last pie I made never set up and was runny. I'm wondering if the fact that I use the hand mixer to combine the butter and the sugar might have caused this. Is there a reason you don't use the mixer here? Thank you

This turned out good but a little too sweet for my preference, so the 2nd time I made it I reduced the sugar to just one cup and squeezed an entire lemon into the mix. It came out perfectly sweet and tart. Hope this helps someone. Thanks for the tutorial anyway ❤️
