Just watching this old one and thinking how lucky you are as your new van has its own potty house! You won’t know how to behave, and will forget you even have have it. So happy for you both. Every year older we get, the small things we take for granted become the BIG things that make our lives more pleasurable ❤

@@LifeistooshortCK I had a few days in which I saw my son develop a cough and complain about being tired and lost his sense of smell and taste. Thanks for posting so soon..What a nail bitter! Great job navigating that bend Ken and getting out of that precarious situation. Such narrow roads and so hilly, such a treat to see, wouldn't want to be driving daily on them..Thought I would give you our nacho recipe, living in Arizona a Mexican restaurant on every corner basically.. Layer of chips, refried beans, shredded roast beef or chicken, on goes the shredded cheese..pop under broiler till the cheese is melted..then top with diced tomatoes, scallions, sliced jalapenos, sour cream and guacamole..😋. I'm now watching this "Isle Of Man" from the beginning which has been so much fun. I'm loving your photography. The Isle looks so amazing. I'm also loving your meals. This 1st dinner one you mentioned something that looks like an egg cooked in the middle of a piece of toast. What is that? Oh.... I'm from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and so I'm just fascinated by most everything about you two. Thanks for sharing. Blessings, Teri
Hi Teri. I think you might be referring to what we call gala pie. It is minced pork in a hot water crust pastry (like what you would call a pot pie in the US) cooked with a whole egg in the middle and served cut in slices.
Well done Ken a good bit of driving todays plans had to be delayed as soon as we saw your latest update was posted and we needed to know what happened. Looking forward to.the next episode Thank you

also pleeeease come back for the TT and/or the Grand Prix, it's such good lively fun and there's so much going on! You would both love the atmosphere :)
I rode the TT Course on a bicycle in 2016. It's called Windy Corner for a very good reason. Generally the practice and racing are suspended when the weather is inclement or mist on the mountain. Enough people have lost their lives in that TT and Manx Grands Prix in good weather without racing in bad.
Yes, that's exactly what the flowers would be for. Unfortunately, not an uncommon site at certain spots on the island. The roads are to be taken seriously and respected especially up on the mountain course.
Was watching one of Yr series where Yr struggling with charging leads... I use a cable organize screwed to the wall in my van. Keeps them separate and easy to find
21 minutes into your video you turned right..had you gone further down the hill up the other side then turned right(before your hairpin road) that will take you to the start of coming into laxey.. I've enjoyed your films.. excellent
Hello oh that was great , you picked a good spot to camp for the night if you do go to the TT thats a place to camp if you get there early hahaha you may want to book your ferry ticket now , its been 2 yrs years since we had a TT because of Covid so I can only imagine how it will be next year. Looking forward for the next IOM video. I hope the weather picks up for you there. Take care .
Just by that pub at Creg Ny Baa there is a nice spot to sit on the verge during TT races and watch the bikes fly past just inches away at 150 mph. It's hard to believe that the top riders can lap the TT circuit in 17 minutes!
Any damage from the scrape? Reminded me that when I was younger we went to Wales in a huge American station wagon and yes... we had many issues with the tiny roads. Lots of backing up...but an awesome time. Good to see you racing about.
Love your little videos .the isle of man has it's own micro climate.my mates dad grows asparagus at farm in laxy..just a suggestion but wouldn't the fridge be easier to use with the door hung on the other side most but not all are ambidextrous 😍😎
A few people have suggested the door be changed and it is possible. Sussex Campervans designed it to open that way as its just possible to get the milk out of the fridge with the bed down due to a slight angled cut off at the end of that side of the bed 👍🏻
At this moment in time whilst u r there guys would of been The Classic Tt & Manx Grand Prix which uses the full TT course for the fortnight but canceled well in advance due to Covid ,,,
My 9 years old daughter was taking bets as to whether you were still stuck on the hairpin or not. Today, she was quite happy to see that you had been able to get free :-)
I must say Ken you were a lot calmer than me in my trip over the mountain on similar tracks at Llangollen a few days ago But my “Christine” is 3.5 tonne at 7mtr LOL 🤣🤭 Lovely Vlog both 👍 Dare I ask what a FLOP is, do you have to close the curtains ???? 🤣🤣😜 ATB 😘👊👍👍🚐 x….
I did lose composure for a second or two as I couldn’t see an easy solution. It does bugger all to improve the situation though so I tend not to bother. As for closing the curtains, sometimes Stephen it is the decent thing to do 😉👍
Lots of out of the way places to park for the night but you are best off the beaten track. I have not been back to the island for some time now after living in Port Erin for 13 years. The attitude to campervans and Motorhomes must be softening as the tolerance to them outside TT time was hostile.
Ken, it’s not called windy corner for nothing. The Glen Roy road is not used now and has two gates to open and hopefully close, it’s rough. The white cottage you passed on the right on the run down to the Creg is Kates Cottage, no one called Kate ever lived in the house, it was given the name by Murray Walkers farther. Once again an excellent vlog
I'm new to watching and really love your videos but I do have one question to ask. Where to you releave yourselves when nature calls? I am watching from Wisconsin in the USA.
Shame about the grotty weather but the island is still lovely. Nice to see that you can camp for free at a lot of the places there. Do you have a chemical toilet? If you do where do you empty it?
Chemical toilets are not the best option for this style of camping or size of van. We use a bivvy loo and pee bottles but most of the time public toilets.
please I would love to know where the nickname "chutney" came from! It makes me envious and hopeful that I will experience love like it. Loving watching your adventure please upload again soon x
To be honest I can’t remember where that came from but its just one of many names that get used. I hope you experience love like it as well. Next video this Saturday ❤️

If you wanted to see the racing go to Manx Grand Prix it on in September half as busy than TT week, and old bikes making fantastic noises.
Good tip Richard. 👍
I love the motorways there Ken just like in Ireland lol
Yes, the roads are very similar to Ireland 😀
21 minutes into your video you turned right..had you gone further down the hill up the other side then turned right(before your hairpin road) that will take you to the start of coming into laxey.. I've enjoyed your films.. excellent
Hello oh that was great , you picked a good spot to camp for the night if you do go to the TT thats a place to camp if you get there early hahaha you may want to book your ferry ticket now , its been 2 yrs years since we had a TT because of Covid so I can only imagine how it will be next year. Looking forward for the next IOM video. I hope the weather picks up for you there. Take care .
Good advice Shaun. We were thinking of booking a ferry to get there before the build up to the race to stand more of a chance 🙂👍
Just by that pub at Creg Ny Baa there is a nice spot to sit on the verge during TT races and watch the bikes fly past just inches away at 150 mph. It's hard to believe that the top riders can lap the TT circuit in 17 minutes!
I have seen that on youtube. Oh my lord they get close. 😱
Graunching sound is never good but glad little red survived, especially after her recent fix. 🧶🌈🍓
Thanks Jenny 🙂
Enjoying your visit to IOM. Have you discovered Glen Maye yet?
Lovely walk to the sea.
I am not sure we did although there were a few unnamed spots ?
Any damage from the scrape? Reminded me that when I was younger we went to Wales in a huge American station wagon and yes... we had many issues with the tiny roads. Lots of backing up...but an awesome time. Good to see you racing about.
No serious damage thank goodness 🙂
Cool
👍😀
Rose hips - Rosa Rugosa
Thanks for the confirmation 👍🙂
The infamous and brutal TT Isle of Man - It doesn't give an inch To the victor goes the spoils. For some they meet their maker.
Those flowers say it all.
@@LifeistooshortCK You flipped the coin you took your chances.....
At this moment in time whilst u r there guys would of been The Classic Tt & Manx Grand Prix which uses the full TT course for the fortnight but canceled well in advance due to Covid ,,,
Such a shame to have lost 2 years.
My 9 years old daughter was taking bets as to whether you were still stuck on the hairpin or not. Today, she was quite happy to see that you had been able to get free :-)
Give her our regards 😁👍
I’m waiting for you to get to Peel and Ramsey where my sister lives. Spent a month there this June and am going back quite soon. I love it there!
Coming soon.
Life is too short for me it's Castletown were I grew up x🌹💜🌹💜🌹💜🌹💜🌹x
I have family in Peel, A beautiful place to go and visit. I was over there 4 weeks ago
As for closing the curtains, sometimes Stephen it is the decent thing to do 😉👍
After seeing this I won't be going to Isle of Man in my van 🤣
You might change your mind when you see some of the places we camp 😏👍
@@DonaldTrumpton very interesting. Thanks for the info 👍🙂
Nice and peaceful without traffic, you can't buy it in the modern city.
That’s one of the things we loved about the Isle of Man. The roads were so quiet even in some of the towns.
I'm new to watching and really love your videos but I do have one question to ask. Where to you releave yourselves when nature calls? I am watching from Wisconsin in the USA.
Pee bottle and Bivvy loo 😁👍
there is a free campsite on(54. 19N 4 . 29 W) the back road between sulby crossroads and ginger hall.
Thanks for the tip
Need a permit
@@benjicampbelton where do you get those permits from?
Government website
Cheers.
I go every year to the TT but you would be better off going end of august to the Manx gp which is a less commercialised event
Thanks for the tip 👍
That grinding sound has to be one of the most gut wrenching sounds. Just awful. Pleased you got away unscathed.
Its always worse when you have to grind against something knowing you have no choice. 😱
We enjoy your videos but think the background music is a bit loud.
Thanks for the feedback James
IOM looks interesting though I’m not sure the narrow lanes are great 😳.
What engine is in the little camper?
It is 1.5L Diesel engine.
please I would love to know where the nickname "chutney" came from! It makes me envious and hopeful that I will experience love like it. Loving watching your adventure please upload again soon x
To be honest I can’t remember where that came from but its just one of many names that get used. I hope you experience love like it as well. Next video this Saturday ❤️
@@LifeistooshortCK thank you for your reply!! Good luck on your next adventure guys, I will definitely be watching :)
