Hi Ken Carol.I wonder what it would be like going round the TT course at 200 MPH think I would need a new clean pear of boxes lol, that’s a beautiful sculpture of joey Dunlop what a rider he was ,you must have done a lot of research on this TT course,I bet you was happy to find somewhere a little more sheltered the weather looked horrible but you are nice and cosy, great blog especially the TT course, well till next time take care keep safe, John 👏🇬🇧🥂🎨🤷‍♂️👀😜💜💤💤

Hello Ken / Carol. Anther great video shame the weather was not on your side when you went around the TT course the TT is on my list I always wanted to see Joey race and never did , when I go back to Ballymoney I always pop into his Bar at the old railway station and see his wife Linda sometimes she has a bike or 2 on display and the town hall has a whole area on Joey and his brother Robert dedicated to them and now I am sure for Roberts son William , the only one left to carry is Michael he is very fast and has won the TT 19 times putting him in 3rd place for all time winners, I really recommend watching Road the story of two sets of brothers its amazing it was on Netflix but I think its gone from there now. I will send you the trailer for it later . Look for forward to your next trip and travels , take care stay safe.

Hi Shaun. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. We have seen the film “Road”, it was part of our inspiration for wanting to drive around the TT course. It was so good we watched it again when we got home. So tragic to hear of William’s death after the film was made. We will have to visit Ballymoney one day and pay our respects. All the best to you ❤️

In the late 80s I sailed a 13 plus foot Paper Tiger against a bloke in Ballarat, who had his Grandfather's peddle started Motor Cycle. He said he was told it went round the Ile of Man in that Race Circut, you showed, somewhere bout 1908-10. He got it goin. Did 16-17mph from memory. Good one! Keep up the good work. Stay vertical Eh!

I think the buildings at the Chasms are old military ones (or more likely RAF or RN), from the war. they certainly look like it. The Island was littered with such things (in addition to internment camps), with 2 RAF airfields and the Fleet Air Arm at Ronaldsway. The RAF had a big radar set-up near Nyarbal, with huge aerials. You can still see many buildings, pillboxes etc around

Now that's the weather I am used to 85% of the time here by the Hutch!!! It's good to see that auto-camping is not all beaches and sunshine; indeed, beaches in the morning mist have a charm all their own. As do exposed hilltops in gale force and blatter!!!
I might be inclined to think of heroes as those who surrender something of themselves in the service of others. Rocketing beyond safe limits all over an island doesn't quite fit that mould - thrill-seekers, nutcases, plain lunatics, maybe... YAM xx
