Potentially April fools, but it would’ve been pretty cool if the Parallel Canon boss was like a reboot of the Splatoon 1 Octoling stage. Since Side Order focuses on the Memverse being memories, it could’ve been the memory of Agent 8 fighting against Inklings as an Octarian soldier.
I never thought Calamari Inkantation would work so well in the Octoling Rendezvous sounds, but I really like it. It even kinda makes sense lore-wise too - Marina called on a group of Octoling friends who had escaped to the surface, so it’s definitely likely at least some of the them heard the Inkantation.
Back in splatoon 1, there was a bunch of octolings in the crowd when we're fighting Dj octavio, so when calamari inkantation started playing its highly likely most of those octolings broke away from the hypno goggles, etc etc. Marina included, so I feel like they would ALSO implement the calamari inkantation into the virtual world, cuz it could possibly help sanitized octolings and others find their freedom, so on and so forth

The Inkilings would have gone underground, just like the octolings did in our reality, the cities would have been called Octopolis, Octopolis Square, and Octavevile. Side Order: Agent 10 gets pulled into a Virtual World called The Sector of Chaos and have to climb the Tower of Chaos to stop the World's Boss: Chaos, to free the octolings and inklings from becoming chaotic and evil in the real world. That's The Entire Story of the Splatoon Series in a different reality, it's kinda cool if you think about it!

My assumption is that given that asynchronous rondo in the pinging marcio both have a theme of off the hook songs and is related to octo expansion I'm assuming this was supposed to be related towards agent 8 and this is also probably during the time when we saw the first couple trailers
I just noticed the broken Pearl Drone. I’d imagine that Pearl comes in to help but is warded off by getting shot at (possibly by 8) and flies away. This is a matter 8 needs to handle by themselves
If Octolings and Octarians won the great turf war, then I guess Inklings would have taken the roles of the Octolings in the first game (and I guess this would have been their theme)
If this is real id imagine it being 2 boss fights in 1 and there would be 3 phases. The first phase would cut to a mini hero mode stage that involves the octarians and you actually play as agent 3. After that fight it cuts to the actual parallel cannon. Then the same thing happens in phase 2 but this time with agent 4. And again in phase 3 but with agent 3 (the new one)
This would be an awesome theme for a Hard Mode of Parallel Canon - like if the Danger: Stronger Jelletons modifier could apply to bosses as well. Or maybe for something like a fight where 8 has to fight a corrupted copy of themselves.
