Tim: "The stem is a little loose"
Proceeds to drop stem into the next universal plane. 😂😂😂😂😂
Tim night and day restoration as usual! Looks like the carver may have worked for CustomBilt back in the day.

Abused is a bit harsh, well used is truer, not all pipe smokers care about the apperance of their pipes, that pipe gave someone years of enjoyment
    Impressive clean up job though

@@The_Southland_Piper no problem, sir. You don’t want to soak in the acetone, though, just brushes and paper towels. It does a really good job of pulling finishes out of the surface, but will also raise the grain a hair.

What do you use for your pipe mortar Tim? I've seen people using cigar ash and water and also granulated activated charcoal with water? Just wondering which one you would recommend

    • @The_Southland_Piper

Currently I am using miracle mud from aristocob.com but their website closed at the end of the year.
The problem with using cigar ash or charcoal and water is that it’s not permanent enough. CaneRodPiper has a video where he shares how he makes it. I will use it once I have use all of mine. Thank you for watching. Here’s the link to his video.

Thank you for your help Tim. Another beautiful restoration. I've still got a ways to go with assembling my tool kit. I got myself a decent buffer and I'm waiting for my heat gun to arrive. I only have the Decatur reamers but I like the ones canerod piper made from paddle bits. I may give that a go. I'll check out his pipe mud video. I have a "his nibs" made by custombilt that is the same design as your Weber's. Check them out. You make like the design. Have a good day. Steve
