You will love this box. I am a heavy truck and equipment mechanic In Virginia. I have had two road boxes. The first one the paint started to chip on the bottom of the lid. It was easy to see the powder coat was not prepped correctly. Snap on replaced the box at no charge.
The first time I loaded it I drove about 30 miles in heavy pouring down rain and not one drop of rain got in the box. I have loved it. This box stays in the back of my truck 24/7 and still looks great. My tools stay dry in all weather conditions. No cover needed. I just wax it every now and then.
Enjoy the box. You made a wonderful choice.

That's a beautiful box...classic design, simple and solid engineering , and still USA made (I was expecting it to be Chinese like the heritage boxes). These things should last a lifetime even with heavy usage.

I don’t plan to have it in the rain much. Make or buy a cover..
