AWE EXHAUST SUITE FOR THE VB SUBARU WRX: awe-tuning.com/products/awe-exhaust-suite-for-vb-subaru-wrx
hot climate does not affect 0w-20. even if it’s 100 degrees outside, that temperature is nothing compared to the operating temp of the engine which the oil is obviously made for. only if you are absolutely beating the engine on the track consistently would the 5w 40 be an optimal oil. the 0w 20 is good because it starts flowing a lot easier on cold starts which is where a lot of wear can happen on the engine especially with thick oil that’s not gonna get flowing that easy when the engine first starts warming up. even in the summer you have cold starts right? because even at 100 degrees that’s less than half of the operating temp of the engine and with thick oil it’s going to increase wear on those cold starts i’m not saying 5w-40 is bad at all but unless you are beating the shit out of the engine on the track 0w-20 is gonna be a better oil.
New exhaust system sound good! 🤩
Sick. I have their stuff on my VA. Solid stuff, hope you like it. Sounds good from the vids.
Sounds good!
I agree! Track video coming tomorrow
Did you get any leaks? I got some on my track just wondering how tight should the clamps be i got them pretty tight
How many decibels is cold start idle?
Did you have any issues with the first hanger needing to be pulled too forward? Mine seems like the section that attaches to the j pipe is too short. I see yours isn’t labeled this side down like mine is wonder is it’s wrongly labeled on mine
Can I ask why the connections aren't/would not cut them out and weld them for weight loss?
That would save weight but wouldn’t allow for adjustment or modularity to change between muffled and track.
Do you do oil changes so soon because you’re dragging it? I’m doing mine almost every 5,000 but I drive it normal (speed limit) I accelerate it here and then but not over 5 rpm.
We recommend 3,000 at absolute max if you’re gonna run the 0w-20.
Is the noise inside the cabin bearable for mid to long drives? Also when used daily? Love the vid man.
The touring is definitely good for long drives and daily. Especially if the rest of your car is stock
everyone has told me the RTV issue is only on the 86/brz and not the wrx...
Are you saying it’s not an issue on this car? We have a video where we inspected it
There's some videos on RUclips of people having rtv in their oil pickup, on the 22 WRX
Is this exhaust still loud enough to enjoy?
Yes, I just switched back to the touring from the track. I actually like the touring better surprisingly
@@WIDEBODYNATION I have the track on now for my 2020 WRX. Sounds great but drones. My car is all stock too… would my 2020 sound similar to yours?
Nothing like HKS in my opinion.
Different tone / pitch for sure.
@@WIDEBODYNATION Yes, but sounds good still.
Not deep enough.
You’ll like the track version then
@@WIDEBODYNATION agreed the track is loud and deeper
Is this exhaust still loud enough to enjoy?
Yes, it’s our preferred set up at the shop
@@WIDEBODYNATION thank you! And what tools did I need for the rear part to unbolt and tighten the clamps? Ratchet and socket? 5/8? And to get the tips off too?
