The fact that their "explainations" show how selfish both the step dad and the mom was. They focused on her journal and visits to her friends while starving was to make THEM look bad. If their statements are true, then any loving and caring parent would get their child help.

They got into a fight when she got home, he killed her (purposely or accidentally), out her body in the wasteland near their place, threatened the brother, then stole the evidence or had someone do it for him. I will never understand a woman who puts a man over her children wealth. I do believe that teenagers can act out and choose to spend time at friends houses, but if her mother actually cared, then thouse friends parent and would be informed. If my child would do that I would definitely call and meet thouse parents, explaine the situation. I would even offer the money just because my child would spend most of the time there. But all thouse people believed the girl....

I mean it’s obvious what’s going on here. Kids are unhappy at home for a reason. The girl goes missing and the son is killed. I think it’s obvious what happened here. The stepdad is responsible for both clearly. It’s absolutely sad and the fact that a woman would stay with a man like that, but then again with a violent man she could be scared for her life. This is so sad.

I definitely think the step father had more to do with it. I think he was sexually abusing Amy and that's why she never wanted to go home but that night, she did make it home and he was waiting for her, possibly to abuse her again and she's snapped and threatened to tell her mum and he's killed her for it. As for Dean, I think he found out that his stepdad had something to do with it and went to the house to confront him and he's met the same end. As for the mother, I don't know what she's thinking of by sticking by him, I'm sorry to say that I think she was more interested in having a man in her life than what she was in finding out why her daughter was acting the way she was. Why didn't she call Amy on the phone that could take calls and tell her to come home or go to the friends house and get her? I don't even have kids but I know if I did and any man or woman did anything to them, they'd be straight out the door or if they hadn't been home for days, I'd be out looking for them constantly.

Sounds like her step-father may have something to do with her disappearance. The fact that he made her skin crawl, scared her, and she wanted to stay with friends for weeks on end makes me think that he may have been physically and sexually abusing her. He may have complete control over the mother or something because I don't see why else she would cover for him so much unless she is involved as well. Wouldn't be the first time a mother has chosen a man over her kids. :( I hope that isn't the case though and I hope they find her.

Hi Danelle! I am personally suspicious of both her mother and step father. I saw the photos of this young girl and she was so (and I hate this word) skinny. What she wrote in her diary was no lie or drama. I believe she was at least being deprived of food.
Dragging her to Spain from Ireland in itself was mean. Why not let the girl live with her father in Ireland instead? If Dad wasn't in a position to care for his daughter, it was not mentioned in the video.
I don't like how the mother said 'she never went to bars - she doesn't drink...'
Well, how in the Hell would she know if her daughter was staying at a friends' house for weeks at a time.. I'm positive the mother did not know her daughter well at all. Simply because she didn't pay attention.
The stepfather?? He killed Dean. He's more than capable of killing the girl. I feel he controlled the mother, too. He was a big problem in that family - even with the spending of everything they had to try to track her down.
I'm not sure why he did that. Spending spree? Vacations?? Guilt??? Or just a big 'ole smokescreen to give the illusion he cares?
The whole story stinks. I am suspicious of the mother and step father.

I definitely think step dad did it, too. Just want to comment on their relationship. It is very possible that nothing was out of the ordinary in their household, on the surface. But if he molested her, which I think he did, its very common for girls in that situation to stop taking care of them self, she wasnt showering, stopped eating, hoping that that would fend off their molester. I have seen it in multiple cases like that, and I think that could explain her situation, and also why mother, as it appears, didnt know anything about malnutrition and lack of hygiene and everything. Either she's making it up to make him look bad and being very dramatic, or her home life was just really really bad with the step dad there and nobody helped her escape. It sounds like a human trafficking thing could have taken place, but that phone really throws me. This place is full of Morrocans, shitty gangsters, criminals, drug lords, you only need to read the weekly paper to see this is true, the coast is home to over 110 different gangs, i worked the bar scene i served them for years, i served Amy's parents and Mahon, they were in the bar I worked at the day after she disappeared, it's naive to say this isn't a dodgy area, I grew up here and know 100% that it is! I wouldnt say it was Mahon that did it, but I'm sure he was involved and it was because of him she went missing! She was a lovely girl, I felt sad for her seeing her wondering the streets whilst her mum sat getting pissed on G and Ts and he on southern comforts... costa del sol doesn't get its name costa del crime for nothing!!!
And banus has nothing to do with it, the people in banus have so much money that they actually think they own this place; in banus, Estepona you fınd the lords and the runners are either in mijas costa or in Algeciras.. you actually have to be a millionaire to afford banus prices, specially if you on the piss like they were... the danger in banus is between drug lords, not shitty criminals and gangster wana bees like you see on costa del sol... you only need to open ur eyes to see whats actually happening! Seeing the shit being passed under the tables...

Ever since I was around like 3 years old, my parents told me they would come in my room to check on me, and I would always be watching some sort of NCIS, Law and Order, Bones, or any of those kind of T.V. shows..It's crazy to think about how interesting these videos and cases are, but when you really think, this is real. This isn't some T.V. show you're watching. Makes my heart hurt to watch you document these cases and believe these people are out there with their own version of their story and not one person knows the truth.. Besides that, I appreciate you putting these out here in a way of means to heal families, and try to pursue a case to solved one!

Better than spongebob. Raise a child to be aware of the world so they won't be gullible and get trampled by it. Mine loves criminal minds, she is a happy well adjusted child but can spot a creep a mile away. She knows the difference between normal and odd interactions and can even spot them between other children and adults, and is aware enough to come tell me about it. It's not a bad thing. You do realize human trafficking is a legitimate worldwide problem, especially children? Raise them to be aware of their surroundings and to speak up or get out of uncomfortable situations, not fall prey to them.

Being half Irish/half Scottish and living in UK, something that stands out on an instinctual level is the strong feeling this Fitzpatrick family were extremely shady and possibly involved in the criminal underground. Another 'feeling' is that Dean was killed for knowing too much or possibly was threatening his Step-Dad regarding Amy's disappearance. Who knows? These 'types' are dangerous people and I fully believe her family is involved in the disappearance of Amy.
I grew up in a shit-hole in Glasgow and we seen this stuff going on daily. You don't mess with these people, even within family...these people are well-connected and Psycho/Sociopaths.
I genuinely know nothing about this case, just speculating from the perspective of knowing similar families.
Now if you don't mind, I need to go into hiding..... (sorry just dark humour - that's what growing up in hell-hole's do to ya, I'm afraid.)

If Dave was willing to kill one stepchild, what would keep him from killing another? He seems super sketch and I think he's the one that stole the laptop and pink phone because he thought the police knew some theories on him. I don't trust him, and since Amy's phone was found at her house the night she went missing, I believe she absolutely was there and Dave did something to her. It's sick

I feel like the only reason the “mother” stood by Dave is because they both had something to do with Amy’s disappearance and Audrey didn’t want Dave to out her or something. I don’t believe anything is just a coincidence and there are too many in this story.

Something is just really sketchy about this one - the evidence that got pulled from the lawyer is what gets to me the most. I don't think human trafficking would care about that like you said. Or the hit man.

Rachel Cardwell also, who would even know what was on that laptop? To me, that just screams that the step dad did it because they general public wouldn't know that laptop was full of info about her case

    • @ms.dreavus2446
      @ms.dreavus2446 6 лет назад

True! If one were panicked about someone finding evidence, you'd think they'd take more than one computer/laptop/file, etc to cover their bases. The person who took the laptop and cell phone knew EXACTLY what they were looking for.

In my opinion, it does sound like Dave most likely either molested her, touched her in some way, or something like that.. I know I have my own experience hating my moms boyfriend so much that I also stayed with friends for weeks on end. My mother was clueless, even though I told her over and over again how much I hated him.
If he is guilty, which it does sort of seem that way from the evidence that you could find, he might be doing all of this to thoroughly cover his tracks. He might have just come forward with his step son because he was caught, and fleeing might make him look even more guilty with Amy. Maybe his lawyer advised he could get him a good deal as long as he cooperated.
The whole case seems so messed up to me, that I am not sure what to think honestly.

No 15 year child is difficult unless they're treated badly.
What normal mother wouldn't be concerned if they're daughter is staying as someone else's house for weeks on end? Even if you knew where they were safe and happy, you'd still want them home.
I really hope Amy did run away and is living happily somewhere else. But I can't believe she'd purposely put her family in so much hurt. :(

Danelle, you have an amazing natural affinity for storytelling. That gift, when mixed with your dedication to proper research and your obvious respect for both the subject matter and the families, makes for PERFECT videos. Such a pleasure to watch. Every time you upload I'm happy for the rest of the day just thinking (and annoying my whole family by saying out loud) "Oooh, I have a Danelle to watch tonight!." I wait until everyone else is asleep and then watch in the dim bedroom with a glass of wine and headphones so I don't disturb my husband. Thanks for being so awesome! Keep 'em coming, and the longer the better, as far as I'm concerned.
