      I agree. I recognise the panicked texts like that, was in a similar situation myself. I think he made a move, she said no, he didn't handle it well, raped her, she fought back, and he killed her, maybe accidentally , then freaked out and got really scared and did a stupid hasty thing like burned the house down to cover it up

    I don't understand what goes through a guy's head when a girl says no and he can't just accept it and leave her alone. How do you go from "I want to hook up with you" to "I'm going to kill you". Can't wrap my head around it.

    I would love to hear from any girls who have encountered Josh before, what his character is like. She was terrified and then went missing, my gut instinct is he is clearly guilty. He burned the last thing she came into contact with. It’s just now about getting him to confess.

      I used to stay with him when I was 11-13 years old he was a family friend at the time and you would have thought he would’ve been capable of this. He was a super super nice guy I stayed with him and his wife/ex wife now all the time by myself he was totally normal he taught me how to shoot guns and taught me how to fish took me four wheeling and they’d cook for me buy me movies to watch at their place. I still can’t believe it but hearing everything I’ve heard about the situation and the recent stuff that he got in trouble for I’d say without a doubt he did this and it’s just sad man he was like a big brother to me I denied it for years just because of the side of him I knew.

Im telling u now im 42 but if this was me back n the day, my brother & cousins woulda been done had him tied up & gave him a beaten til he decided to remember wtf he did to me...were country & a lil crazy but the good crazy...our fam is so close we don't play the bs games...& im the same way with my sons & gbabies. My sons lil sister went missing for a few days & they were both n college miles away & found out this guy was the last one she was with & they were both at his house..lyin like hell but they stayed on his ass til he admitted he was covering for her to run off to hang out with his best friend that her dad (my ex) didnt allow her to see. We got lucky that we got her home but best believe my sons who were both college football players wouldnt of left that dudes ass until he talked...people needa go old school on these fools..cuz the police don't always do their job or even get worried til way after its too late.

    What's really crazy to me in this whole situation is NO ONE did anything when she was sending out texts to multiple people that she was really scared. NO ONE responded! The ex didn't leave work early. The sister didn't come get her or wake her parents up to go get her. None of her friends came and got her or woke their parents up to go get her. NO ONE called the police! Maybe I'm paranoid but if my friend sent me a text like that I would find a way to go get her, even if it meant calling the police and insisting on a wellness check. I was young once and partied a lot and we didn't even have cell phones but we managed to communicate far better than these people sure seemed to. We once had a friend go missing after a party and we had groups of friends and family as well as the police mobilized in a matter of hours to find him, all before the age of cell phones and social media. It took some searching because he had headed into a state park but we found him safe, bruised and cut up from walking through the forest at night, but safe.

    Have they not had helicopters search the area behind his house? Why didn't they forensically test the horses for any of her DNA. I know he said they rode them before hand but if something happened on that couch, their may have been remains of decomposition when he packed her onto a horse and brought her to some unknown location. Just a thought. His story is all over the place, I think he's guilty.

    According to a google search a Joshua Hansley resides at 113 Dillon Court, Berea, KY. Facebook has two profiles for this person (based on pics could be the same person), one of which says he is employed at Madison County (Kentucky) Solid Waste Removal. Apparently they deal in large item pick up, livestock removal. I wonder if this route was ever investigated.

      Aha, this is new information! At least to us, although the police possibly know this...I hope!I was also wondering if she maybe tried to "run"...out the door and down the road, I know I would have tried...but then a small girl compared to a large male would stand little chance of escape, I fear.

    The police have to be building the case against Josh, taking their time so they get it right. It’s a strange world but I can’t imagine a more logical explanation of what happened to Brook other than Josh killed her, probably after she refused an advance.

If they don’t have parents that are “call me no matter what” I am that friend!! It makes my stomach sick that no one really cared about her well being that much. Such a beautiful soul stolen from the world probably because of a selfish mans ego.

    First off, I love your channel. Second, I live just south of Lexington, in the same area as Berea. I also grew up in Kentucky. I know it is strange to others, but in KY we tend to refer to places by the county instead of the town. We only have a few large cities in this state and when you are going there you say the city. Otherwise we have over 100 counties in this state and rarely does anyone know the names of the little towns. It is a lot easier to refer to the county since that is more likely to be known.

    Thank you for shedding light on so many cases that are constantly looked over or barely heard about. Also cases that have been more talked about publicly. I feel that instead of people focusing so much on the beauty gurus on RUclips or pranksters they should also be subscribing to channels that help others. Your videos are completely based upon keeping light on those who do not have a voice of their own. I wish to see more of these channels in the future.
    Thank you for all you do for the people and families of the missing and for all the work you put into getting as much truthful information out there as you can.
    This case breaks my heart and I hope that we can eventually see it solved. I can almost feel the fear that this beautiful girl felt this night. There's something very strange about Josh and I can almost positively say to myself that he did something terrible to her.
    Sending love and light to her family. 💞 Never stop what you do Danelle!!!!!

    • @BbyJLP
      @BbyJLP 4 года назад +1

      My exact thoughts. Very often police have to wait on cases, despite there being only one clear suspect and one plausible theory. Circumstancial evidence isn't always enough to guarantee a conviction (or even to get the DA to prosecute) and it can be too big of a risk of acquittal. If the guy gets off and later, the body and new evidence is found, there's nothing you can do because of Double Jeopardy.
      It's frustrating though and I know, it's got to just destroy the victim's family, having no resolution and such an obvious suspect and outcome.

  • @deegoodall3092
    @deegoodall3092 6 лет назад +6

    I'm trying to wrap my head around this case because on the surface it does seem so obvious. But, I always have so many questions in my head that are probably irrelevant. Such as, how far away was Jared's work from Josh's house? It seems like he would have went by there anyway after work just because she was so scared and frantically wanting him to pick her up. Even though the second text was sent to him (probably by Josh), he never got a response back from her. It seems like Jared would be a little curious. IDK. I also wonder why Josh lived in a place with no electric? Was it out due to weather? Unpaid bills? Did his parents live with him? I'm not sure I would even believe they actually rode horses. I would be curious to know what she was wearing at the time. If it was a skirt or dress of some kind, it seems odd she would even get on a horse. Heaven knows what really went on during that time until she was able to use her phone to frantically get a ride. I have a lot of other questions, but I will spare you and your readers. I do agree that the answer is linked to that couch and perhaps the horse farm where Josh later went. You are great!

    The one question stuck in my mind is this: Why would you bring a girl to your house that has no utilities unless you're at least planning to try something? I wouldn't be surprised if Josh strangled her and hid her body in one of those hard to search locations. Maybe I'm too old and sceptical, but I'm not offering to let someone I barely know drive my car. When I was 18, I almost definitely would have taken somebody up on the offer so I could get my friend home, especially if I had a cell phone and was reasonably certain I could get a ride if I needed one. It sounds like maybe the state police know something about what happened but don't yet have enough evidence to make a case.
