    UPDATE!
    TJ Ward has since been fired from the case! According to what I have been told, he took advantage of the family and did absolutely no work. This is heartbreaking to hear and makes me want to push even harder to raise money for his family! Please keep them in your thoughts. There is nothing worse than being taken advantage of in a desperate time of need.

    Her body has been found right in the drainage system in front of her car and there was a 911 call a few days after she had been missing by the mom saying she smelled decomp where the car was left and nothing was done. So now 2.5 years later they decided to go check the drainage system. The family needs to sue the pants off the police department. This case was a total mess, utter lack of any real police work. I feel absolutely horrible for this family. If they would have followed up on the 911 call reporting the smell of decomp they would have had fresh evidence and her poor body would have been laid to rest instead of sitting in that drain for 2.5 years right in front of countless news stories, she was there the entire time. RIP Ebby and my prayers go out to all the family members.

      @@NunyaNomi Not necessarily true, my town is under 700 ppl and we have 24/7 365 police officers. What happens is they ban together with other neighboring towns and one will provide weeknight help and the other will provide weekend help with regular weekday officers at a low number. There's no such thing as no police help on weekends - that's just asinine.

      They're officers on duty but detectives that would have been on the case were probably out for the weekend, which isn't uncommon however, i feel like in this instance there should have been non stop people on it but they obviously had no interest in doing much of anything, maybe even involved somehow.

    Ebby was found at the Chalamont Park (the same place her car was found) about a week ago. A girl that I know who Ebby was living with at the time, went out to the park to investigate. She made about 5 or 6 calls to the police and told them that she smelled a rotten smell coming from the drain at the park. The police passed it off as "just sewage". Two and a half years later, Ebby was found in that same drainage pipe, right in front of where her car was found.

      Kayleigh Smith exactly what I’m thinking. There was one case where a high school football player was found dead wrapped in a cheer mat in his high school gym. with newspaper stuffed down his throat. In the surveillance footage two white males follow him into the gym. (They were known to have issues with the football player) An hour after entering the gym only the two white males come out. Coincidentally the two males father was a police officer. When footage was seized the father deleted 1 hour of footage from inside the gym. The poor boy never got justice. Heartbreaking when police cover shit up.

It was really sad when the school announced it. The students always said that she was never missing and that she just ran away with her boyfriend at the "trap house" but I'm sure they just wanted to start rumors. I thought it was strange that once it was announced to the students that they never said anything else about it. Didn't even acknowledge her at graduation. im from arkansas, and i remember when ebby went missing. i know this video is old, but i remember it all. we were the same age, only a town over from each other. people i went to school with knew her. it was such a big deal, everyone was scared. teachers talked to us in class about how to stay safe and be aware of our surroundings. friends of hers from my school were doing what they could. putting up posters, giving out shirts and bracelets, trying to get people to help search for her. my mom was so scared to let me out of the house for such a long time. she didnt want me to be next. and let me tell you, all the years she was missing, no one forgot her. not a single soul. she wasnt forgotten, people still cared and were looking for her and keeping her name out there. and when she was found, it was a punch in the gut to the entire state. we all wanted so badly to believe that she was still alive, still out there, that she would come home. and there's still yet to be justice. its not fair. it isnt fair at all. i will never forget her name. i will never forget Ebby Steppach. she's in my heart, and in the hearts of everyone in the state of arkansas.

    I've lived in Arkansas my whole life and Little Rock is basically considered the shadow area in The Lion King, by a large chunk of people. So for them to deny the dangers there is insane to me. This is also the state that brought you The West Memphis. They put 3 teenage boys in prison for the murder of 3 little boys, even though evidence didn't point to them...just because they were goth in the early 90's when Satanic Panic was at its peak. Those 3 teenage boys grew into men in prison, one of which was on death row, and then Arkansas finally said "well I guess you guys can leave prison but you have to take an Alford Plea". People on death row don't just get to walk up outta prison unless the state is nervous about something...like oh I dunno, wrongful conviction...hence the Alford Plea. Otherwise they'd be entitled to a big chunk of change from Arkansas' pocket.

I live in Little Rock and let me tell y’all, you cannot depend on them because they will not get anything done, it’s very sad. Little Rock is chock-full of crime because of this. @AL Cats bro I commented this two years ago. The reason I mentioned LRPD specifically is because Ebbie went missing in LR. I actually went to highschool with Ebbie at LR Central High and I grew up in that city all my childhood. It’s weird seeing someone you probably walked by everyday just disappear for awhile and turn up murdered and nothing ever happens with the case. I agree, it is everywhere that cops don’t do their job which has been extremely evident over the past year. However, I specifically brought up LRPD since it’s relevant to the case my guy.

    I'm from Little Rock and Ebby's story has recently developed. It's a huge deal here in West Little Rock. It's not entirely clear WHY police were led back to Chalamont park where her car was found, but human remains were found in a drainage pipe at that park yesterday, May 22 2018. It's not yet been confirmed that these are her remains, but the investigators were following her case and were given reason to search the drainage pipe for Ebby.

    As someone from this area, the “good old boy” mind set is engrained in a lot of our local police departments. Who do you get out of the car for and don’t turn it off? A police officer who walks up on you possibly smoking pot in your car. I don’t know a lot on the case, but if a police officer were to commit the crime, there’s a high chance that it would then be handled like this. Especially if one or more of those four boys was related to the police department.
    I don’t know if this has been looked into at all or is even possible, but it is what my mind immediately jumped to.

    • @leedent7260
      @leedent7260 3 года назад +2

      Yeah, definitely, if one of the four knew a crooked cop though most seem crooked anyway, they could say she was going to spill the beans on them and that they need him to take her out completely. The vehicle was left on as you say, so that indicates intent to operate it shortly after maybe exiting. May she rest easy at least, maybe the guilty parties are likely not caught but hopefully justice is dealt soon!🤞

    • @sadiejane244
      @sadiejane244 3 года назад

      Coming back to this comment a year later- other options for why she may have left it running there- she could have exited the vehicle to walk up to another persons window to buy pot, if there weren’t bathrooms open she could have jumped out to go to the tree line to pee, or someone had made their presence known in the back seat of her vehicle and she jumped out scared out of her mind to run
