Well, Mr. Lochridge has certainly been vindicated, but since he seems like a decent man, I doubt he's happy about it. Terrible the way he was treated. I don't understand what exactly the "whistleblower protections" even are, if a company can sue a person for making a complaint and basically blackmail them into shutting up. Companies should not be allowed to sue whistleblowers, period.

He is a narcissist and thinks that he can manage. He did patent a acoustic sensor system to be installed to the fibre composite hull. He thought that his invention will notify him of imminent failure of the hull and give him enough time to ascend to surface. Clearly the system does not work. He thought that it would work because he invented it. It is a very clear indication of narcissism.

That's the wild thing about Rush though. I don't think he thought it would fail. He was warned, but he didn't believe it. He thought he was somehow above the rules of nature and physics, that he had a faster and cheaper way to do this than anyone else and he was eager to prove all the naysayers wrong. He fully believed in the engineering and construction of Titan and that's what made him so dangerous.
