Rachel going serpa style 🔥💯🔥
Hahaha yes. Publicly, but have had terrariums since the 80s :)
Looks great! Well done Rachel 🌿
Thanks tanner!
"Lush" is a GREAT description! Your vivarium is so cool and moody and lovely :)
Very nice. Well done. I certainly wouldn't mind having something like that in my livingroom. I just wish the manufacturers of the box itself made them to slide into corners too (to to replace the square box shape but as an option). I've always loved the idea of corner aquariums and I could definitely see how this would work well in a vivarium as well.
I feel like some type of small frog would be great inhabitants for this! Green tree frogs maybe? Or something of a similar size.
Whoa Racheal!! You did an excellent job!! I've had a lot of fun going around watching all the builds this morning!! I hope you're having a wonderful day my friend!! Much love 🙏💚
this looks amazing!! Please teach me how tf to keep plants alive. you're obviously great at it and I am not 🤣
It looks so good Rachel!!
Thanks man!
Look forward to seeing this evolve! Dart frogs or red belly toads seems like obvious choices, but I’m sure someone else will have a better suggestion.
Great suggestion!!
Not because you kept mentioning Josh’s Frogs but that looks like an idea lol setup for some type of frog. Tree frog, poison dart, etc
I love that. Ever considered geckos? 🦎 lots of different ones to choose from.🦎
Being on the smaller side i would go with a couple dart frogs or you could go with 2 red eyes both live in high humidity or a red belly toad sence i all ready have red eyes I would go with darts but those are 3 good choices for your set up looks great 👍
This is amazing!! I love the water feature 🥲
Thanks man!
My first thought is that dart frogs would love that set up!
I’m with ya on how it looks. Frame could be black maybe and look more aesthetically pleasing. You did a great job. 👍☺️
Any type of small or dwarf frogs seem like they would work. The build turned out beautifully.
👍💓👍
I really want her to get one so I can live vicariously through her 😁😁
I’m loving where your channel is going! I don’t always get to comment...but I wanted to make a point to respond to let you know how much I enjoy all of your content. In the last video you were asking viewers to let you know if we would be interested in gear reviews and stuff. I would say absolutely! So much useful info is packed in every video U make, I would love to see anything you guys use on these explorations your doing! Keep the videos coming!! Can’t wait to see the one from that axolotl lake!
super cool there Rachel
Amazingly gorgeous. 👏 love how you captured the pictures that you took. Into your creation. The plants are spot. Serpa would be proud.
Wow! this is INSANE! Well done!
Thanks
Looks really awesome Rachel!!! Super Nice set up. Been making changes in my orchidarium as well. Thinking about adding a water feature. 😁👍👍
Wow Rachel. That is awesome looking . I just became interested in fish keeping, but I never heard of a vivarium before. You definitely have a creative talent.
Great Job Rachel!
This build is amazing!! You are such an artist!
I don't want to fangirl too hard, but I am so grateful for everything I've learned from your channel and all the new things I've tried because of you.
Gurl, you bring our hobby to LIFE! I'm obsessed with summer tubbing!
I wouldn't stock it until you plan to be home a little more often unless you have someone that could feed for you. A native gray tree frog would be really cool. Just try to get a female or you may not be able to sleep at night (speaking from experience).
It’s beautiful, Rachel! I would like to build a terrarium or vicarious, but I am very intimidated for some reason. You make it look so easy that I think I could do it! Thanks for inspiring me!
I'm thinking dart frogs too. It would be easier to just dump live food cultures in there (I'm assuming) and leave for a while that it would be to feed bigger animals. Even the springtails will feed dart frogs.
Isopods, lots of big ones? Maybe a giant millipede (though I don't know care for the giant ones, and haven't seen them since in pet stores in a decade or more, so maybe there's an ethical or import/invasive reason? Or maybe they're just in specialty shops now?
IMO it's too small for vertebrates. Except for some very small species of amphibian. But then there's maintenance, feeding, etc so you really couldn't leave it more than a few days.
In fact I have no idea what to put in there that would be super low maintenance. Maybe isopods or a species of mollusc.
If it were mine I'd just put in a little Buddha statue . A little tacky i spose but it would be something to focus on amid that beautiful scape.
Green tree frogs and Isopods for additional cleanup crew members. Super easy and friendly frogs, not messy and will hand feed.
You did a great job - the interior is really beautiful thanks to your hard work, but the exterior is rather ugly. Perhaps down the road you could enclose it in a wood, Serpa squad fashion :)
Amazing as always, love the channel and your style! 👏🏾🔥💯
Had no idea you were I Appalachia too! Nice! Beautiful work!
if you don't mind culturing fruit flies, I think reed frogs would do great in a smaller enclosure like that!
Exelente trabajo, Rachel. Está súper bonito todo.
I think your salamander would like that set up. Provided you can locate them. Are they still lost?
🤔 those cages look kinda like old TVs...lol 😆 you did a great scape.
I think it would be perfect for Geosesarma crabs. They are very aesy to keep and feed and also easy to breed. They are quite shy, so you do not see a lot of them, but I really enjoy keeping mine, I have planted setup like yours and they are almost effordless to keep.
A small frog would go well there, perhaps a local tree frog or even a more tropical variety. If you are traveling a lot this summer, I would wait till the fall or after the travel spell. Be careful with dart frogs as many of them hide all the time, a major reason I no longer keep them. Great build...kudos
Yeah probably could do the same thing with the outside of it just the black silicone make it your own or put some little pot's on the side and plant them just to take the gray away but yes absolutely beautiful and some sort of small frog but I'm not sure if they would need a heat lamp xxx
Such a beautiful and fun project! Thank you for sharing it with us ☺.
Well i got to say wow, that is so beautiful. I really did not like the box at first, but end results is just amazing
Looks amazing! Glad you're having fun. :)
Vietnam mossey frog would be cool
Nice set up. Frogs maybe? Ask SerpaDesign , I bet he would have some ideas.
I love toads but I don't know if they would drown.
I have a 20 gallon that Used to have danios and bala sharks in it I want to start it as a turtle tank and I do not know what to put in it. Can you give me some suggestions.
👍😎 Looks nice Rachel. At first I thought you used an old tv. Been watching all enjoying your channel for years. By the way, my wife is from near you, beautiful area of the country.
1 or 1 pair of small geckoes would be perfect
Bohemian anoals and regular green anoals lizards
Well I gotta say I am impressed!!!! That is beautiful!!! Some type of toad would be nice to add. I can see another project on the horizon for me. Lol. Liked😉
Couple small crabs. I really like it.
That is spectacular! Very artistic.
Cool mountain spring, in Vivar-i-vision!
Really a great use for a vision cage.
Some Fired Bellied Toads would LOVE this setup.
ggiiirrrrlll!! you are on fire! 🔥
Vampire crabs!!!!!
Love!
Frogs maybe.
Fiddler 🦀?
Very nice!
Newts
Love it you are passionate and informative
💚💚💚
👍
💙🙌💚
Damn lady, Tanner from SerpaDesign better watch out or he'll be out of a job! This looks amazing!
Are you planning to put any critters in there when your travel schedule calms down? What do you think you will put in it? Poison dart frogs are a great choice for smaller cages as they are tiny but brightly coloured and active during the day so you actually get an animal (or animals) that you will see, not one that will hide all the time or sleep all day. Humidity can be a bit tricky depending on where you live but overall they're fairly low maintenance (especially in a bioactive setup) and inexpensive to buy and keep. Their diet basically consists of fruit flies (get the wingless/flightless ones! Lol!) and they are apparently super easy to start a colony of and continue to keep so you don't have to keep buying them food.
I think the cage itself looks great, although I am not keen on the grey exterior, I'd prefer it in black or even make it wooden like other vivariums that you can get anywhere. Did it come with the background or did you create that too?
Fantastic job though!
This looks amazing! Personally, I'd just keep it critter-less. Keep the focus on the scape.
it's beautiful !! 😊💙
Another great one!
Looks great!!
Just... WOW!
Thank you!
💕👍
Stainless T pins are good to Rachel
Agreed!
First thumbs up!
Much appreciated
A crested gecko would work with a couple hides. Looks great!!
