- Hey guys here with an update to Frosty and Melosa the Poison Dart frogs. They are doing great!
I decided to upgrade their home and build a custom Exo Terra 18 x 18 x 36 Vivarium with a waterfall / water feature.
I hope you like and ask any questions. I documented all I could without making the video a week long LOL
Poison dart frog is the common name of a group of frogs in the family Dendrobatidae which are native to tropical Central and South America. These species are diurnal and often have brightly colored bodies. This bright coloration is correlated with the toxicity of the species, making them aposematic.

Looks great. Also, there shouldn’t be mixed frogs. They can interbreed.

Hey awesome build man! You did a great job, especially with the removable water feature that’s a great idea.
The one thing I would change is to maybe take out the dracaena (big green plant that kinda looks like a bromeliad, next to the waterfall) only reason is that they can get REALLY big like 6 ft tall lol 😂

Yea I was completely unaware what the plant was and I thought it was a Bromeliad when i grabbed it LOL I recently learned it grows like a mini palm tree! As much as I love it, I will be unearthing it soon once i get another bromeliad. I just haven't had time to drive out to the exotic shop yet. I appreciate your visit and help! Have a great day/night!
These 2 species can cross breed and should never be kept in the same enclosure.

@@killian1075 whenever you hear them imagine someone repeating what their favorite news media told them.
You’ll either get an answer of “we need to keep the blood lines pure” or “for when ALL the dart frogs go extinct” in reality its breeders who mix dart frogs and don’t want noobs making unique morphs.
Then what happened over time is NPC like this kid just kept repeating it as “Law”.
