I was going to say the same thing! And would've been under the exact same circumstances. OKC upsets the Warriors in game 1 in GSW. Warriors blow out game 2 at home. Games 3 and 4 the Thunder win. Down 1-3, Warriors had two home games and one away game to pull off the comeback. The order of home/away games and wins/losses would've matched up exactly vs Boston had the Warriors lost today.
That OKC team didn’t have the defense these Celtics do, woulda been a much tougher task. Plus, Westbrook and KD playing bad for 3 straight games effected the outcome and I don’t think Jaylen Brown woulda slowed down anytime soon, especially if Boston took a 3-1 lead

But curry never gave themselves an excuse. I remember when they interviewed seth, he told the media that it was painful to watch his brother to constantly get treatment for that knee he injured in the first round. I think Cavs fully healthy would have beat gsw in 2015 but if draymond never got suspended they win game 5 and with how much cap room they had they probably would have loaded up with more role players to battle in 2017.

The only thing that made me realize in that series was that: warriors never made an excuse. Some people wouldve said they hurt their eye, and saw 3 hoops, or wouldve said theyre not 100%. But curry never gave themselves an excuse. I remember when they interviewed seth, he told the media that it was painful to watch his brother to constantly get treatment for that knee he injured in the first round. Taking a risk of getting pain killers right before the game and all. It was horrible but he wrapped it up and said “he never made an excuse, so i wont try and make that as an excuse as to why they lost”

The media still has a huge problem accepting that the 6'2" guy is the dominant superstar, that Kerr is a great coach, that a 6'6" guy can play center, that Wiggins is not a bust...the only player that they can understand is Klay, whose height and shooting "make sense." The media cannot understand the mental side of basketball as they are mostly too stupid to do so, so they just look at the roster and see a bunch of tall fast long guys and figure they should win.
