Cheers to the longest video I've ever made.
I think it goes without saying that I REALLY enjoyed Yakuza / LAD 8 so much that I made a video about it's OST that's almost 40 minutes long (Hell the karaoke section takes up half of the video). I gotta say that I really stretched the limits of my editing abilities on this one, it may not be gold-like editing to some but I'm really happy with it. I hope you enjoy this one, like and subscribe as well.
Honestly I wish someone would do a reaction video on this so they could fully appreciate the musical genius behind Sega's / RGG's Music Team.

I love that you added the "rolling eyes fall" chant in the "man who regained his name" scene. Idk why they didn't do that in the actual game
I feel like it’s because he isn’t really _receiving_ anyone. He _has_ his daughter and his grandson, and now he always will. Receive You has always been about Kiryu’s battle and struggles to hold onto himself and what matters to him, but after everything, he doesn’t need to anymore. He’s gotten to know and trust someone who can succeed and even surpass him through Kasuga, and he finally accepted his own feelings and desire to be with his family and friends. He’s got everything he needs, and he’s finally done fighting. The future is finally safely in someone else’s hands, and he’s alright with that. His lifetime of combating his nature and duty as a yakuza is finally over, and he’s happy to rest and enjoy the family life he always wanted.
Basically, Kiryu doesn’t need to “receive” anyone anymore. He’s got everything he needs : his name, his kids, and his friends. It’s time to rest, and he knows it.

@@gerbil8395 Eh don't worry, it'll take a game or two for the Japanese sales to dip low enough for them to drag him back out again, hell Infinite Wealth was basically a Kiryu game disguised as a two-protagonist game. Honestly it's odd considering most have positive opinions on Ichiban and the direction he's taking the franchise, so it at some point feels like the only ones not willing to let go of Kiryu is RGG themselves.
Hope RGG Studios don't run out of Fire Extinguishers...

Shibas live very long to my knowledge since their gene pool hasn’t been turned into a circle like most western dogs, so they’re very healthy in comparison. Most tiny dogs tend to live longer anyway, so that certainly helps.
If Mame was about 3 in Yakuza 3 (2009), then he’d be about 18 or so now, give or take. Still going strong by the look of it, though (although that’s probably RGG not wanting to make a unique old Shiba asset and make us cry).
Edit : I looked it up, and Mame is actually a senior citizen. The average lifespan of a Shiba Inu is ~14 years on average, so even if he was found under a year old, he’s on the older end. However, just like Japanese humans, they’re the exceptional outlier in maximum age, with the oldest recorded Shiba on record reaching 26 years, which actually places it as the oldest dog to ever live. They’re generally pretty healthy too, so it makes sense.

Man, Infinite Wealth made me very emotional at a lot of moments, but when Kiryu put his old suit and then we see his gray hair I just felt... specially sad here... This man during his entire life has gone through so much shit physically and emotionally and not only he's old now he still can't catch a break.
This masterpiece of a saga, it's just not a saga, it's the most beautyfull experience anyone could go through, it helped me so much, god bless you RGG

just finished the game last night, and all the emotions I was feeling when The Four came on in the game wanted to bubble up again as I was watching your edit 😭 and yeah, I’m just like that dancing kid when Receive and Believe You comes on. that’s how it is for so much of this soundtrack! Wong Tou’s theme, the Seiryu Kai theme, etc….

Unfortunately you can't go to Ijincho/Kamurocho as Ichiban even in premium adventure for some reason so it really is just a theme that plays for the beginning of the game/chapter 13

@@Luc8763Hah I'm glad you've mentioned to Yakuza 0 flashbacks in Judgement because I knew that it would bring up memories. Based choice for your favourite song as well. Brutality was so good that I basically left the whole song on.
Now if only I could find an isolation of the "hard music that plays in dialogue before combat starts", which first appears right before the tutorial fight.

I recently finished the game and while I enjoyed it, the ending was really a mixed bag.
It just bothers me that Kiryu's ending remains ambiguous, I just hope that SEGA leaves him to be with Haruka just one last time: he's been thru enough shit for a whole lifetime.
On a positive note, it moved me how Ichiban forgave Ei-Chan despite all the shit he's pulled on him. Just shows he is one of the strongest characters by having the strength to forgive and move on.
