I see a lot of comments talking about Kovu's parents being from the Tree of Life, but I wouldn't recommend trying to find Kovu's parents by seeing which lions look the most like him, genetics are weird and confusing and without looking deep enough in a family tree/pedigree, some traits can seem like they came out of nowhere. Search up "Mendel pea plant expiraments," and just by going down a few generations he already got some weird results. Now take the number of traits that Mendel used for his expiraments and multiply that by a lot, and you end up being able to get an almost endless amount of outcomes for the offspring of two organisms, so in reality, Kovu's parents could look like anything so going off looks isn't a good way to search for them.
Scar still technically adopted Kovu but because there was no biological relation it still made it fine to pair him with Kiara. Similar to 2 specific Dalmatian step siblings but that’s a whole other story. But I’m sick and tired of telling it so figure it out yourselves.

My Theory: I honestly don't want to know who Kovus parents are. The story of him having unknown parents is a lot more intriguing. I believe that in one of the hyenas patrols around the Pridelands, they find a recently deceased / dying lioness with nursing cubs (I'd say two at least). The hyenas report back to Scar and he comes to investigate. One cub, female, was far too weak and sick to survive the journey back to Priderock; the other, male, was just fit enough to recover. In the cubs healing process, he pays a visit to Zira, who was recently nursing Vitani, and asks her to raise him as her own along side with Vitani (I also believe Vitani isn't Ziras cub, Vitani was given to her). Scar saw something in the little cub, a fire of hope and greatness for him. In that moment of him handing the cub over to Zira he officially announces him as his future heir. In Ziras desperate attempt to please Scar she accepts without hesitation. He then decides to call him Kovu.
My theory is that two lion parents, dying from illness came to the Outlands. They were also starving as they gave their food to their son. They die just as they reach the Outlands. Scar sees this as he patrols the Outlands. He doesn’t care for the adult lion and lioness but rescues Kovu. He takes him in and raises him.

Maybe Kovu's parent were Rani's pride because he has the same fur colour as Rani and baliyos he is also the same age and his eye colour is similar to Queen Jannas eyes so is it possible for him to have met Rani OR is he her lost son?! This was my therory please like my comment 😊 thx
My Theory is that Kovu came from The Tree of Life and is POSSIBLY Queen Jonna's grandson through her living son. Rani's Uncle met Zira/a random lioness and have cubs with her. He realizes his duty is to the tree of life and leaves the lioness and his cubs. The lioness ends up passing away with one of her cubs, leaving Kovu as the lone survivor. Zira and Scar find him one day and took him in. As Nuka said in TLK 2, "Scar wasn't even his father. He just took him in." Any thoughts about my theory?
In my theory Kovu is the son of Chumvi and my OC Rena (Zira's half sister). I think Scar didn't care much about blood, but strength and loyalty were the most important to him for an heir. That's why Kovu was the chosen one and not his own son Nuka. :)

I would say that Chumvi and Zira makes sense, given the fact that according to Canon, Zira is Kovu and Vitani's mother by birth, but his and Vitani's father Chumvi turns out to be from a Pride of Asiatic Lions (Lions who have Brown colored fur and the males included with Brown colored manes). The way this would be so is that Zira obviously chooses Chumvi as her mate for a time while Scar is in madness after trying to make Nala his Queen. Together, Zira and Chumvi have Vitani and Kovu. Then when Simba returns, defeats Scar (who ends up getting killed by Shenzi, Banzi, Ed, and their Hyena clan because of his early attempt to cover up his deeds against Mufasa and the Pride Lands by pinning the blame on them as well during his confrontation by Simba), and Zira and her followers called the Outsiders get banished from the Pride Lands after when Zira attacked Simba over his rejection of Scar being the real king in response to Zira's protest that he cannot rule the Pride Lands as Scar had chose Kovu to be king, Chumvi chooses not join the Outsiders getting exiled to the Outlands. Then when Chumvi learns what Zira did to Simba's first son Kopa, he disavows her and cuts ties with her as his mate after which he goes to join his sister Nirmala at the Tree of Life as part of the Night Pride and eventually meets Kopa again when he comes to the Tree of Life for healing and sanctuary after the latter (Kopa) had survived Zira's attack and gets to know him more and decides to watch over him as Chumvi tells Kopa his story as well.
My Theory: Zira and Scar used to be mates and had 2 kids which were Nuka and Vitani. But then Zira and Scar broke up somehow, then Zira met the strange lion from Battle for the Pride Lands and Zira said she wanted revenge on Scar and the strange lion accepted but only under one condition...that condition was (18+) so the strange lion agreed and the strange lion gave Scar his scar in the name of Zira

If kovu is kula & chumvi cub, i see no match for their appearance, kula & chumvi has red eye pink nose, but kovu on the other side have dark green eye black nose. Kovu's green eyes and black nose could had been passed down by his grand parents. For example Ahadi have a black mane and more outlander appearance while Mufasa has a red mane because it came from his grandfather
My theory is well its pretty dark I made two lions up named Kikora the female lion and Sikaw the male lion and they had a kid named kovu so when scar and zira were hunting but they found a family and zira killed kovu parents and took kovu to be his son at the time kovu was a baby sorry if its dark

Kovu would need one Parent with green eyes. If you look at all the offspring and build and color of the parents; they have all had offspring that have something in common with at least one parent either their coat color or their eyecolor or both being the same. So there are a few things that you could go on to figure out who the parents are.
i think he is the son of zira and chumvi. i mean look at him part of the reason he kinda looks like scar is because zira looks alot like scar so kovu looks half like zira which looks alot like scar

there's another youtuber who made a non-canon family tree that actually makes a lot of sense. it was that the original leaders of the outsiders pride were the parents of two cubs. zira and her sister. i forgot the specific names, but when they died, ziras sister, being the first born, took over with her mate. they had two cubs, kovu and vitani. then because they were greedy and wanted more land, they attacked another pride which is where sarafina and sarabi came from. in the battle kovu and vitanis parents died and zira took them in as her own.
My Theory: is that maybe Zira gave birth to a girl and new Scar would be displeased with the Cub that Zira gave birth to. Maybescar was somewhere waiting for Zira to give birth to this Cub And Zira probably found a rogue who had a cub that could pass for a son of scars and thought about the possible outcomes of her decision but in the end decided to swap cubs and that could be how she got Kovu.

I think you are correct about chumvi and kula being kovu parents but my theory is that scar was unhappy with nuka being the heir and even though vitani would have been a good heir he didn't want a girl to be his heir so zira kiddnapped a cub when he was born in the pride lands and raised him and named him kovu
There's actually a theory saying that Zira killed Kovu's and Vitani's parents and took them in as her own in order to "impress" scar because of Nuka being this weak and somewhat malnourished cub, and Scar needed a strong heir, not an heir like Nuka. Personally, I think it's possible but there are a few potholes in this theory, like how did Zira manage to kill Kovu's and Vitani's parents? Were she really that strong to kill a female and male adult lion or were the two cub's parents ill and that made it easier for Zira to kill them? If she was that strong, shouldn't Nuka at least have some of her strength as her biological son?

Kovu's parents are Kula and Chumvi. They were born during the reign of King Mufasa and lived through the dark reign of King Scar, who, after rejecting Nuka for an heir, was desperate for a healthy strong lion who would succeed him as king of Pride Rock. When he found out about Kula's and Chumvi's cub Kovu, who was fit to be an heir, he sent the hyenas to kill them both and adopted Kovu as his son and future king.
I think Chumvi and Kula are twins because they look so much alike, and Tama and Tojo are also twins because their names go together like twins, therefore Chumvi and Tama are Kovu and Vitani's parents.

Multiple times on the movie it states that scar WASNT his father. When Nuka said “Kovu, Kovu, Kovu, scar wasn’t even his father he just took him in” he didn’t say “Us” he said “him” implying that Nuka is Scar’s offspring.
Tbh i think kovu's father was A rouge and his mother was Zira because 2 pride landers can't have an outsider cub (Look at their noses) and zira does have an outsiders nose and the rouge may have had green eyes, a brownish reddish fur ( Because that's kovu's colours ) colour and a dark brown mane
I always assumed Nuka was the direct offspring of Scar and Zira, while both Vitani and Kovu (twins) were the product of Zira and a mystery lion that was never shown in any TLK media. I think the Tree of Life pride is certainly the best possibility given their dark-furred appearance (and the fact that they’ve actually been seen and are a canon group.) My only doubts about that are why Scar would want to not have a second cub with Zira, and instead have a random nobody lion from who knows where sire his heir. It’s not like Scar has bad genes or whatever, just look at Mufasa. Why not accept that Nuka was a dud, and have the second born child of Scar be the chosen one?
I use to think that Kula is Kovu's mother, but I don't think the same about Chunvi, because the Chunvi's brown is different from Kovu's, and in the comic book "Simba's new Brother" we meet Malka, who is just like a clear version of Kovu, so I think Malka and Kula mated and had Kovu, but Zira and Scar attacked them and kidnapped Kovu. About Vitani, I think she is Tama's daughter, but not Tojo's. In my theories, Tama, Tojo, Kula and Chumvi aren't in them for many visible reasons. For Chumvi × Kula = Kovu, they have different fur tones, eye colors and nose color/type. For Tojo × Tama = Vitani, they too, have different eyes and nose shapes. In my opinion, I think Scar and Nala are the parents of Vitani. Because since Nala grew up while Simba was away and Scar as King, it's true that the King has the right to mate with any female in the pride to make a good heir. So Scar obviously has many biological children, and Vitani is one of them. (Ex: Scar×Sarafina=Mheetu, Nala×Scar=Vitani, Afua and Nunka,) And maybe Kovu's father is a member of Scar's lion guard, that's why he specifically chose Kovu?? So, when he destroyed the Guard maybe he took Kovu in and gave him to Zira to be raised strong. Also in my theories, Kovu had a twin brother and two other siblings, Mtoto, Amira and Ishara. Then his half siblings, Maua and Kondon. Unfortunately, they were killed by Scar along with their Father. So, that left Kovu alone and raised by Zira. Now, back to my theories on Vitani?? Yes, I think Nala and Scar are her parents. The similarities are.... impeccable! Vitani has a slightly darker fur than Nala, mixed purple/blue eyes and Nala's white-ish under colors. She also has Scar's nose but Nala's nose color. She's slim and well built like Nala, and has a small mane like tuft from Scar. But, Scar wanted a male heir so he and Nala had twin cubs that turned out to be males named Nunka and Afua. Nunka looked similar to Nala, same fur but darker, then a brown like mane and green eyes and Nala's nose type. While Afua looked more like Scar, same fur tones, black mane and blue eyes with Scar's nose type. Nunka seemed weaker than Afua so he was killed off by Scar and fed to the hyenas sadly. Afua grew to a teen age! Though, he was as stubborn as Simba was as a cub, and didn't want to be King. Nala didn't want that either, so She told him to run away, and he did. A few nights later and Afua went missing. He goes off, finds a mate and has two sons, Roho and Tanabi (Which I made a different theory that Tanabi is one of Simba's cubs). Then Scar gets furious and tried to have another cub with Nala, but she refuses. At night she runs away and finds Simba! Lol Nala was technically a teen mother to three cubs with Scar and four to Simba (If u count my theory with Tanabi.) *Realizes how much I wrote* I love TLK theories and stuff too much 😂😂😂 LMAO. My theory on who Kovu's parents are: To me, I think Kovu would be related to Zira and an unknown male lion Zira had a fling with and Scar accepting Kovu as his successor. As for Vitani, it's unknown if she's related or isn't to Scar and Kovu, but in my opinion Scar and Zira would have thier only son Nuka and since Scar wanted an heir that looks like him. He told Zira to mate with an unknown male lion and gave birth to both Vitani and Kovu, who was hand chosen by Scar.
It's not mentioned that Kovu is also the adopted son of Zira. He's the adopted son of Scar yes but it's never mentioned for Zira. If we refer to a deleted scene of the TLK2 Kovu, like his other siblings, is calling Zira "mother" and she never said that Kovu is his adopted son. He is the biological son of Zira but not of Scar

@Panther Power, I saw one of ur comments, about Scar being Sarabi's mate. That's not true lol. They we're never mates it's just Scar/Taka had a major crush on her, but Mufasa chose her as his King. And the lionesses have no control on saying no, besides she liked Mufasa. So, Scar/Taka was furious that he didn't have that choice and started to like Sarafina instead. But she got pregnant by a random rogue, and had a daughter named Jini, an albino lioness with brown eyes. Scar, unfortunately killed Jini showing Sarafina he was "His gal" and nobody else's. Then they had their first litter, Majivu, Neema, Dafina and Ashiki. When they were older cubs, they knew Simba and Nala for a while, then stopped noticing and bothering them. The cubs pretty much kept to themselves. When they were older they left the Pride to start their own together somewhere else. There are some rumors that Sarabi's had twins by Scar named Kula and Zumaridi, but, Zumaridi died at birth and Kula was given to another lioness right before Mufasa knew they had a cub together.... So that theory isn't really mountain high with signs of truth. So.. 😄😆
I know this is an old video but I happened to stumble upon it and wanted to give you all an interesting fun fact about this subject. In the Dutch dubbed version, Nuka (when walking up to Vitani) states clearly that Kovu "isn't even his (Scar's) son. He just took him in.". BUT... in the Dutch version of Zira's Lullaby, she's the one who says, and I quote: "Scar is dead but Zira's still around; who TEACHES HIS SON how to fight and kill and not be afraid of blood.". So she herself says that Kovu IS Scar's son, canonically.
A fact: To be honest, I thinkkķ, Zira killed Kovu's mother because would she just go to see Kovu's parents and go, Hi,can I take Kovu? She is not going to be polite at her entrence,I tell you.
His parents is Valido and Shentani. Scar and Zira during Scar's rein as king and queen. Azra the first cub and oldest daughter of Scar And Zira. One day she'd met Valido and fell in love with him. Kovu and Shentani became a part of Scar's now bigger pride and startting flittig with Scar. Scar chose Kovu as his new heir because he had courage and green eyes like himself and he thougt that his own and only son Nuka was weak and phaphetic and avoided/ignored him. Shentani suggested Vitani and Kovui would be married one day in fact that they were equal in age. On that time Kovu and Vitani were babies and didn't know what was going on but Nuka on other hand were a kid at Simbas age That time. Azra and her deadborn twinbrother, Hila, Faida, Hasira, Nuka and Vitani are all biologisk siblings. Kovu Is the only adopted cub and he never gets to know that Zira is his adopted mother and she and her older daughters (Nuka and Vitani's 3 bigsisters The triplets Hila, Faida and Hasira) killed Shentani his REAL mother on a hunt for prey(Zira's plot) with some of the pride members (Kovu's old pride) meanwhile she doesn't know Scar is figting Simba and is to late to do anything when She returns to the priderock as it's covered in flames. All he knows is Scar isn 't his REAL father. I have readed the story on RUclips long time ago it's not in The Lion King books but it is a serie so maybe you can find on RUclips I don't know how I'd just did pt. You can follow Scar and Mufasa as cubs and watch them all up till Simba becomes king too.

I like to think that chumvi and kula are k-o-v-u's parents but I could see zira as maybe his mother and she just left scar for a bit and mated with another lion but that is just my guess
There is a theory I could suggest since disney is portraying the Lion Guard as part of the canon it is there for equally possible thay Queen Jana was Kovu's mother like she was the mother to Rani's father and uncle since both of Jana's sons have the same eye coloration as Kovu you only see Rani's father's eyes in one episode but they are indeed the same color as Kovu's eyes it is very possible that as we saw in lion king 2 Kovu was very exploitative when he was young and may have wandered to far from the tree of life and that would then explain how Zira got a hold of him now I don't know who queen Jana's mate was as we are never told in the series but I am going to assume that he completed his journey in the circle of life long ago and no one thought to mention it because it wasn't particularly relevant to the story that was being told.

We aren't really told how Rani's parents died but suppose they had three cuba Rani,Bolio, and Kovu and when Zira came along she attacked them and maybe kovu was younger and slower than his brother and sister and couldn't have made it to safety when he was younger. So Zira took him with her after having killed his real parents

My Theory:. What if Scar was the father of Ko v u?? Scar could have killed his mother and Ko v u opened his eyes and saw Scar as the dad but nobody as the mother. When Ko v u was a cub he was introduced to Zira Vitani and Nuka. Scar said that this was their child without Zira’s consent. Scar must have been the reason that Zira has a hole in her ear. Kopa is older than vitani. Kovu is younger than vitani. He cannot be kopa… kopa was just like simba whereas kovu is darker. Kopa and kiara cannot marry because kiara is his sister . Kopa loved vitani. But for kovu vitani is his sister.

I have a theory that baliyo could be kovus brother because their hair looks exactly alike and both of their fur is brownish tanish and sãhasi looks like kovus or could be kovus dad and Ãnanda could be kovus mom cause zira does not look like him, and I think scar may have kidnapped kovu from his family because he was "the chosen one" cause in a deleted scene zira says scar took you in and accepted you as his own son, kovu says 'but he wasn't my father. My theory is; 2 lions got together names Rasifa and Karad (Karad is male) They had a son named Kovu. Karad was attacked by a hyeneas And Rasifa had to take care of young Kovu alone. My theory: During Scars reign Zira and Scar mate and give birth to Nuka. Scar thought he was too weak and skinny to be his heir so he ordered Zira to mate with another lion to get a better heir, So Zira mates with Chumvi to give birth to Vitani & Kovu as twins, making all three siblings with Zira as their biological mother, the only difference being that Scar is father of nuka and not Kovu or Vitani. Then Chumvi had realised Zira didn’t love him and left her and the pridelands to be with Scar. Scar had thought Kovu was the perfect heir so he chose him. Zira and her three cubs went hunting, while they were gone, Simba returned and defeats Scar but when Zira came back to the Pridelands, it was too late. Simba was king. Zira didn’t know that the hyenas had killed Scar and thought Simba was responsible. She had told him that Kovu was the heir to the throne so Simba couldn’t be king. Simba defended himself saying that Scar was never meant to be king. Fuelled with anger, Zira tried to attack Simba but he easily won. He had given Zira one last chance to stay in the pridelands when they didn’t cause any harm to the inhabitance. Little did he know that Zira and her lionesses were plotting to get revenge on Simba for many months. So they attacked Simbas first born, Kopa, using her daughter, Vitani as bait. Simba, depressed and furious, banishes Zira and her family from the pridelands. No one knew that Kopa was alive except Nuka who helped him wake up, but Kopa left the pridelands. Chumvi, now a rogue lion, had met Kopa as an adult and had got to know him, they both come across the tree of life where they meet King Kion and Queen Rani. Kion took the two to the pridelands and Simba regonises his long lost son and he stays in the pridelands while Chumvi is staying at the tree of life.
I see a lot of comments talking about Kovu's parents being from the Tree of Life, but I wouldn't recommend trying to find Kovu's parents by seeing which lions look the most like him, genetics are weird and confusing and without looking deep enough in a family tree/pedigree, some traits can seem like they came out of nowhere. Search up "Mendel pea plant expiraments," and just by going down a few generations he already got some weird results. Now take the number of traits that Mendel used for his expiraments and multiply that by a lot, and you end up being able to get an almost endless amount of outcomes for the offspring of two organisms, so in reality, Kovu's parents could look like anything so going off looks isn't a good way to search for them.
Well the reason we can’t find them is because his parents are dead.
Scar still technically adopted Kovu but because there was no biological relation it still made it fine to pair him with Kiara.
Similar to 2 specific Dalmatian step siblings but that’s a whole other story.

My Theory:
I honestly don't want to know who Kovus parents are. The story of him having unknown parents is a lot more intriguing. I believe that in one of the hyenas patrols around the Pridelands, they find a recently deceased / dying lioness with nursing cubs (I'd say two at least). The hyenas report back to Scar and he comes to investigate. One cub, female, was far too weak and sick to survive the journey back to Priderock; the other, male, was just fit enough to recover. In the cubs healing process, he pays a visit to Zira, who was recently nursing Vitani, and asks her to raise him as her own along side with Vitani (I also believe Vitani isn't Ziras cub, Vitani was given to her). Scar saw something in the little cub, a fire of hope and greatness for him. In that moment of him handing the cub over to Zira he officially announces him as his future heir. In Ziras desperate attempt to please Scar she accepts without hesitation. He then decides to call him Kovu.

My theory is that two lion parents, dying from illness came to the Outlands. They were also starving as they gave their food to their son. They die just as they reach the Outlands. Scar sees this as he patrols the Outlands. He doesn’t care for the adult lion and lioness but rescues Kovu. He takes him in and raises him.

My Theory is that Kovu came from The Tree of Life and is POSSIBLY Queen Jonna's grandson through her living son. Rani's Uncle met Zira/a random lioness and have cubs with her. He realizes his duty is to the tree of life and leaves the lioness and his cubs. The lioness ends up passing away with one of her cubs, leaving Kovu as the lone survivor. Zira and Scar find him one day and took him in. As Nuka said in TLK 2, "Scar wasn't even his father. He just took him in." Any thoughts about my theory?

I would say that Chumvi and Zira makes sense, given the fact that according to Canon, Zira is Kovu and Vitani's mother by birth, but his and Vitani's father Chumvi turns out to be from a Pride of Asiatic Lions (Lions who have Brown colored fur and the males included with Brown colored manes). The way this would be so is that Zira obviously chooses Chumvi as her mate for a time while Scar is in madness after trying to make Nala his Queen. Together, Zira and Chumvi have Vitani and Kovu. Then when Simba returns, defeats Scar (who ends up getting killed by Shenzi, Banzi, Ed, and their Hyena clan because of his early attempt to cover up his deeds against Mufasa and the Pride Lands by pinning the blame on them as well during his confrontation by Simba), and Zira and her followers called the Outsiders get banished from the Pride Lands after when Zira attacked Simba over his rejection of Scar being the real king in response to Zira's protest that he cannot rule the Pride Lands as Scar had chose Kovu to be king, Chumvi chooses not join the Outsiders getting exiled to the Outlands. If you look at all the offspring and build and color of the parents; they have all had offspring that have something in common with at least one parent either their coat color or their eyecolor or both being the same.
So there are a few things that you could go on to figure out who the parents are.

there's another youtuber who made a non-canon family tree that actually makes a lot of sense. it was that the original leaders of the outsiders pride were the parents of two cubs. zira and her sister. i forgot the specific names, but when they died, ziras sister, being the first born, took over with her mate. they had two cubs, kovu and vitani. then because they were greedy and wanted more land, they attacked another pride which is where sarafina and sarabi came from. in the battle kovu and vitanis parents died and zira took them in as her own.

There's actually a theory saying that Zira killed Kovu's and Vitani's parents and took them in as her own in order to "impress" scar because of Nuka being this weak and somewhat malnourished cub, and Scar needed a strong heir, not an heir like Nuka. Personally, I think it's possible but there are a few potholes in this theory, like how did Zira manage to kill Kovu's and Vitani's parents? Were she really that strong to kill a female and male adult lion or were the two cub's parents ill and that made it easier for Zira to kill them? If she was that strong, shouldn't Nuka at least have some of her strength as her biological son?

Kovu's parents are Kula and Chumvi. They were born during the reign of King Mufasa and lived through the dark reign of King Scar, who, after rejecting Nuka for an heir, was desperate for a healthy strong lion who would succeed him as king of Pride Rock.
When he found out about Kula's and Chumvi's cub Kovu, who was fit to be an heir, he sent the hyenas to kill them both and adopted Kovu as his son and future king.
I think Chumvi and Kula are twins because they look so much alike, and Tama and Tojo are also twins because their names go together like twins, therefore Chumvi and Tama are Kovu and Vitani's parents.

Multiple times on the movie it states that scar WASNT his father. When Nuka said “Kovu, Kovu, Kovu, scar wasn’t even his father he just took him in” he didn’t say “Us” he said “him” implying that Nuka is Scar’s offspring.

I always assumed Nuka was the direct offspring of Scar and Zira, while both Vitani and Kovu (twins) were the product of Zira and a mystery lion that was never shown in any TLK media. I think the Tree of Life pride is certainly the best possibility given their dark-furred appearance (and the fact that they’ve actually been seen and are a canon group.) My only doubts about that are why Scar would want to not have a second cub with Zira, and instead have a random nobody lion from who knows where sire his heir. It’s not like Scar has bad genes or whatever, just look at Mufasa. Why not accept that Nuka was a dud, and have the second born child of Scar be the chosen one?
I use to think that Kula is Kovu's mother, but I don't think the same about Chunvi, because the Chunvi's brown is different from Kovu's, and in the comic book "Simba's new Brother" we meet Malka, who is just like a clear version of Kovu, so I think Malka and Kula mated and had Kovu, but Zira and Scar attacked them and kidnapped Kovu.
About Vitani, I think she is Tama's daughter, but not Tojo's. In my theories, Tama, Tojo, Kula and Chumvi aren't in them for many visible reasons. For Chumvi × Kula = Kovu, they have different fur tones, eye colors and nose color/type. For Tojo × Tama = Vitani, they too, have different eyes and nose shapes.
In my opinion, I think Scar and Nala are the parents of Vitani. Because since Nala grew up while Simba was away and Scar as King, it's true that the King has the right to mate with any female in the pride to make a good heir. So Scar obviously has many biological children, and Vitani is one of them. (Ex: Scar×Sarafina=Mheetu, Nala×Scar=Vitani, Afua and Nunka,)
And maybe Kovu's father is a member of Scar's lion guard, that's why he specifically chose Kovu?? So, when he destroyed the Guard maybe he took Kovu in and gave him to Zira to be raised strong. Also in my theories, Kovu had a twin brother and two other siblings, Mtoto, Amira and Ishara. Then his half siblings, Maua and Kondon. Unfortunately, they were killed by Scar along with their Father.

Yes, I think Nala and Scar are her parents. The similarities are.... impeccable! Vitani has a slightly darker fur than Nala, mixed purple/blue eyes and Nala's white-ish under colors. She also has Scar's nose but Nala's nose color. She's slim and well built like Nala, and has a small mane like tuft from Scar.
But, Scar wanted a male heir so he and Nala had twin cubs that turned out to be males named Nunka and Afua. Nunka looked similar to Nala, same fur but darker, then a brown like mane and green eyes and Nala's nose type. While Afua looked more like Scar, same fur tones, black mane and blue eyes with Scar's nose type.
Nunka seemed weaker than Afua so he was killed off by Scar and fed to the hyenas sadly. Afua grew to a teen age! Though, he was as stubborn as Simba was as a cub, and didn't want to be King. Nala didn't want that either, so She told him to run away, and he did. A few nights later and Afua went missing. He goes off, finds a mate and has two sons, Roho and Tanabi (Which I made a different theory that Tanabi is one of Simba's cubs).
Then Scar gets furious and tried to have another cub with Nala, but she refuses. At night she runs away and finds Simba!

My theory on who Kovu's parents are: To me, I think Kovu would be related to Zira and an unknown male lion Zira had a fling with and Scar accepting Kovu as his successor. As for Vitani, it's unknown if she's related or isn't to Scar and Kovu, but in my opinion Scar and Zira would have thier only son Nuka and since Scar wanted an heir that looks like him. He told Zira to mate with an unknown male lion and gave birth to both Vitani and Kovu, who was hand chosen by Scar.

If we refer to a deleted scene of the TLK2 Kovu, like his other siblings, is calling Zira "mother" and she never said that Kovu is his adopted son. He is the biological son of Zira but not of Scar

@Panther Power, I saw one of ur comments, about Scar being Sarabi's mate. That's not true lol. They we're never mates it's just Scar/Taka had a major crush on her, but Mufasa chose her as his King. And the lionesses have no control on saying no, besides she liked Mufasa. So, Scar/Taka was furious that he didn't have that choice and started to like Sarafina instead.
But she got pregnant by a random rogue, and had a daughter named Jini, an albino lioness with brown eyes. Scar, unfortunately killed Jini showing Sarafina he was "His gal" and nobody else's. Then they had their first litter, Majivu, Neema, Dafina and Ashiki. When they were older cubs, they knew Simba and Nala for a while, then stopped noticing and bothering them. The cubs pretty much kept to themselves. When they were older they left the Pride to start their own together somewhere else.
There are some rumors that Sarabi's had twins by Scar named Kula and Zumaridi, but, Zumaridi died at birth and Kula was given to another lioness right before Mufasa knew they had a cub together.... So that theory isn't really mountain high with signs of truth. So.. 😄😆

I know this is an old video but I happened to stumble upon it and wanted to give you all an interesting fun fact about this subject. In the Dutch dubbed version, Nuka (when walking up to Vitani) states clearly that Kovu "isn't even his (Scar's) son. He just took him in.". BUT... in the Dutch version of Zira's Lullaby, she's the one who says, and I quote: "Scar is dead but Zira's still around; who TEACHES HIS SON how to fight and kill and not be afraid of blood.". So she herself says that Kovu IS Scar's son, canonically.

Kovu’s real parents are chumvi and kula
His parents is Valido and Shentani. Scar and Zira during Scar's rein as king and queen. Azra the first cub and oldest daughter of Scar And Zira. One day she'd met Valido and fell in love with him. He played with her feelings and made her pregnent. He was the leader of his own pride together with his mate Shentani and THEIR newborn son Kovu. (Shentani and Kovu has the same eyes. Valido and Kovu has the same fur.). When Azra Later finds out that she was being useed all along and was a part of a takingover plan She got hurt. And Later Azra and Scar and Zira/the many Hyanes who was controled by Scar killed Valido and Scar took over Valido's pride and made his own bigger. Kovu and Shentani became a part of Scar's now bigger pride and startting flittig with Scar. Scar chose Kovu as his new heir because he had courage and green eyes like himself and he thougt that his own and only son Nuka was weak and phaphetic and avoided/ignored him. Shentani suggested Vitani and Kovui would be married one day in fact that they were equal in age. On that time Kovu and Vitani were babies and didn't know what was going on but Nuka on other hand were a kid at Simbas age That time. Azra and her deadborn twinbrother, Hila, Faida, Hasira, Nuka and Vitani are all biologisk siblings. Kovu Is the only adopted cub and he never gets to know that Zira is his adopted mother and she and her older daughters (Nuka and Vitani's 3 bigsisters The triplets Hila, Faida and Hasira) killed Shentani his REAL mother on a hunt for prey(Zira's plot) with some of the pride members (Kovu's old pride) meanwhile she doesn't know Scar is figting Simba and is to late to do anything when She returns to the priderock as it's covered in flames. All he knows is Scar isn 't his REAL father. I have readed the story on RUclips long time ago it's not in The Lion King books but it is a serie so maybe you can find on RUclips I don't know how I'd just did pt. You can follow Scar and Mufasa as cubs and watch them all up till Simba becomes king too.

My Theory (p.s. there are names so blah yeah): A lioness named Amaphe and a lion named Zu ja has ko v u and vi ta ni but then after SIMBA became king Zi ra went back to to be an outlander again Amaphe and Zi ra’s sister Thula and Zu ja we’re fighting Zi ra has to stop them by the time she did Zu ja was dead and Thula and Amaphe we’re dying from the fight Thula went out somewhere like the pride lands to not to be in the horrible place Zi ra had to help Amaphe then one day Amaphe was very sick she had to stay in the den while Zi ra took care gave her food and water and everything she needed Then Thula went to tell Zi ra that Amaphe could join her once Amaphe did feel better she ABANDONED her own children cause she kept thinking that Thula was lying so then Zi ra took care
I like to think that chumvi and kula are k-o-v-u's parents but I could see zira as maybe his mother and she just left scar for a bit and mated with another lion but that is just my guess
There is a theory I could suggest since disney is portraying the Lion Guard as part of the canon it is there for equally possible thay Queen Jana was Kovu's mother like she was the mother to Rani's father and uncle since both of Jana's sons have the same eye coloration as Kovu you only see Rani's father's eyes in one episode but they are indeed the same color as Kovu's eyes it is very possible that as we saw in lion king 2 Kovu was very exploitative when he was young and may have wandered to far from the tree of life and that would then explain how Zira got a hold of him now I don't know who queen Jana's mate was as we are never told in the series but I am going to assume that he completed his journey in the circle of life long ago and no one thought to mention it because it wasn't particularly relevant to the story that was being told.
Jana is old enough to be his grandmother as he is just little bit older than Rani

We aren't really told how Rani's parents died but suppose they had three cuba Rani,Bolio, and Kovu and when Zira came along she attacked them and maybe kovu was younger and slower than his brother and sister and couldn't have made it to safety when he was younger. So Zira took him with her after having killed his real parents

What if Scar was the father of Ko v u?? Scar could have killed his mother and Ko v u opened his eyes and saw Scar as the dad but nobody as the mother. When Ko v u was a cub he was introduced to Zira Vitani and Nuka. Scar said that this was their child without Zira’s consent. Scar must have been the reason that Zira has a hole in her ear. Scar forced her to keep Ko v u as her cub. Then Zira accepted Kovu when Scar got killed by Simba cause he was the “Chosen one” Hence it would be ok for Kiara and Kovu to mate.

Kopa is older than vitani. Kovu is younger than vitani. He cannot be kopa… kopa was just like simba whereas kovu is darker. Kopa and kiara cannot marry because kiara is his sister . Kopa loved vitani. But for kovu vitani is his sister.

I have a theory that baliyo could be kovus brother because their hair looks exactly alike and both of their fur is brownish tanish and sãhasi looks like kovus or could be kovus dad and Ãnanda could be kovus mom cause zira does not look like him, and I think scar may have kidnapped kovu from his family because he was "the chosen one" cause in a deleted scene zira says scar took you in and accepted you as his own son, kovu says 'but he wasn't my father. Or maybe kovu got lost cause how on earth in lion King 2 was kovu just sitting there? My theory is;
2 lions got together names Rasifa and Karad (Karad is male)
They had a son named Kovu.
Karad was attacked by a hyeneas
And Rasifa had to take care of young Kovu alone.
Rasifa and Zira became friends
But Rasifa didn't know that Zira was evil
Zira told Rasifa how beautiful Kovu was
One night whilst Rasifa was going to rest she let Kovu go to the river to drink so water
Kovu was alone for the very first time
Zira saw Kovu out alone and got scar to throw him into the river
Zira went to the bottom of the river were Kovu was lying very nearly drowning and took him back to the outlands
Zira left to tell Rasifa that Kovu had died
Zira went back to the outlands to order scar to attack Rasifa with hyeneas
Rasifa died from hyeneas attack
When Kovu woke up and didn't remember what happened Zira brainwashed him by saying Rasifa gave him up and didn't love him

Kovu still didn't remember Rasifa so he remembered her for hatred that Zira has been digging into him every day

My theory:
During Scars reign Zira and Scar mate and give birth to Nuka. Scar thought he was too weak and skinny to be his heir so he ordered Zira to mate with another lion to get a better heir, So Zira mates with Chumvi to give birth to Vitani & Kovu as twins, making all three siblings with Zira as their biological mother, the only difference being that Scar is father of nuka and not Kovu or Vitani. Then Chumvi had realised Zira didn’t love him and left her and the pridelands to be with Scar. Scar had thought Kovu was the perfect heir so he chose him. Zira and her three cubs went hunting, while they were gone, Simba returned and defeats Scar but when Zira came back to the Pridelands, it was too late. Simba was king. Zira didn’t know that the hyenas had killed Scar and thought Simba was responsible. She had told him that Kovu was the heir to the throne so Simba couldn’t be king. Simba defended himself saying that Scar was never meant to be king. Fuelled with anger, Zira tried to attack Simba but he easily won. He had given Zira one last chance to stay in the pridelands when they didn’t cause any harm to the inhabitance. Little did he know that Zira and her lionesses were plotting to get revenge on Simba for many months. So they attacked Simbas first born, Kopa, using her daughter, Vitani as bait. Simba, depressed and furious, banishes Zira and her family from the pridelands. No one knew that Kopa was alive except Nuka who helped him wake up, but Kopa left the pridelands. Chumvi, now a rogue lion, had met Kopa as an adult and had got to know him, they both come across the tree of life where they meet King Kion and Queen Rani. Kion took the two to the pridelands and Simba regonises his long lost son and he stays in the pridelands while Chumvi is staying at the tree of life.
