That's what I do with shows I know by heart, to improve my language skills. (I put subtitles on too so I can understand better what's being said). Also, good luck on that pesky math problem set! Thank you for sharing about not going to office hours. I have a son who will go off to college next fall and he is shy and has anxiety so I worry about those things...him asking for help. We are working on it now so that maybe it won't be so hard when he goes off to school.
My school told us at orientation that the professors have no one to talk to in there and they’re very happy when people show up.That has been my experience as well, they were always really happy to help me learn.
I appreciate the reflections you have in your day-to-day, like in your personal picnic. It's hard to remember to be friends to ourselves. "Would I say that to my best friend if they were doing this?" If not, then don't say/think it at yourself. Thanks for reminding me to take care and be gentle with myself. Please make sure you treat yourself like a best friend :-)

The math problem sets sound pretty tough!!! But then again, I couldn’t make it through pre-calc.. more of a geometry fan. Also- going to the gym totally counts as self-care!!! :)
I love the colors choices if I can’t get to the gym I do body workout like planks crutches wall push up (still recovering from a shoulder injury ) and I recently purchase two set of dumbbells to do at home workout from RUclips lol 😂

(Not including my CS101 for “non-CS” students (total lie! It was so hard! Even my close friend who was an upperclassman in CS as a programmer found the weekly program homework really difficult!) Btw-I’m so obsessed with your designs! Your videos are so fun-my guilty pleasure in my hectic day!

You might know this already, but if you want to lift heavier and build a bit more muscle, up your protein intake. If you’re not a big meat eater, you can use protein shakes, which are good for on-the-go, too. ☺️

😂 NOW I REMEMBER why i hated planning. 😂 I majored in physics and most of my homeworks were 4-8 questions in 1-2 weeks so it was just hours and days of ... nothing... nothing... nothing... something, maybe, i think... nope nvm, nothing.... EUREKA! one problem down after 10 hours. Now I just have 3-7 questions more to go, lab, lab report, and homework for my other physics *CLASSES*. Yeah I didn't like thinking about it, I jsut did one after the next only focused on what was infront of me to try to forget the fact that I'm not very far along and have A LONG way to go. 😂 I got a philosophy minor bc at least in those classes you can read and be productive and get stuff out and done. You have solid material to show for the time spent. not one piece of paper and a huge pile of trash

Being weighed down and upset because you didn't go above and beyond is only a recipe for burnout and mental health issues - it's okay to relax, it's okay to take it easy, it's okay to not always be productive, it's okay to not always be in the middle of achieving something. I think this mindset can breed an attitude of "never being enough" and lead to overall dissatisfaction with yourself and your life because nothing you ever do is enough - even when you're excelling, you feel like you could be doing more.

Hi! This doesn't offend me at all and I'm very aware. I mention in several videos that I live an unhealthy lifestyle and I do not think this is normal. Currently, I am content with how I live. I have mental health struggles and keeping busy with the things I love (which so happens to be learning in school and working on my craft) really helps as a coping mechanism. Of course there are better ways to address it like going to therapy, but for now that is not something I can do. For things like attending double lectures, it is just for one class that I'm having more trouble with so I don't think it's so bad that I want to reinforce the things I learn! I truly appreciate your concern and I guess my response to you is to let you know that I'm fully aware of this and I do try my best to improve. I'm doing a lot better than I was 2-3 years ago!
U r doing a great job for ur future and investing lot of time to build a great successful career. It's just necessary though to stop someday and enjoy a laugh, or moment with beloved ones, it recharges u way more than coffee ;D

For things like attending double lectures, it is just for one class that I'm having more trouble with so I don't think it's so bad that I want to reinforce the things I learn! I truly appreciate your concern and I guess my response to you is to let you know that I'm fully aware of this and I do try my best to improve. I'm doing a lot better than I was 2-3 years ago!
