Q: Do you plan before, during, or after the week?
A: It varies from video to video, but typically I plan 2-3 times during the week and stitch the clips together. I rarely plan the entire week in advance or the entire week retroactively.
Q: Do you use all of these planners?
A: Yes and no. Every week, there is something in my life that takes priority over the others whether it be school, work, or something personal. Depending on the week, I select a few planners that will help me achieve my tasks! So not every planner is used every week.
Q: How do you get so much done in a day?
A: If you watch any of my journaling vlogs, you’ll realize that I have very poor sleeping habits and so naturally I’m able to fit more things into the day. It’s something I’m trying to fix but admittedly this is the only reason.
As a person that's diagnosed with ADHD, It's so funny how I immediately related to you saying you have an obsessive personality and you hyperfocus on things intensely. I do that ALL the time. So who knows!
I try to be careful about self-diagnosing but it's kind of taking over my life :'))) So yes I definitely hope to see a professional soon!!!

Also yes we gotta be careful with self-diagnosing but also self-diagnosing is a first step towards a diagnosis a lot of the time :) Good luck on the journey wherever it brings you!
My younger son and I have ADHD. Having a paper planner is critical for me. I'm still trying to get him to use the paper planner I bought him so he can write down his accomplishments (he's also dyslexic) and not forget homework assignments.
The way you use the ruler to cut off washi is so satisfying every time!
I love the rainy season but also yes yes yes it makes me so sleepy and stiff. Just want to be at home doing nooothing
Not sure if you're intending to look more seriously into ADHD, but someone with AuDHD, my neurodivergent radar goes off a lot when I watch your videos. Of course, if you don't find it impeding on your life, I don't know if it's worth the time and effort to go through the process of looking into professional diagnosis. Sometimes just seeing that you aren't alone is enough ♥

Hope you had a wonderful time celebrating the mid Autumn festival. How are you finding The Count of Monte Cristo? One of my besties and I were discussing if we were forced at gunpoint to declare our top 5 favourite books, and both of us included TCoMC (ohhh… that is almost TCMC!!). Yes it’s quite melodramatic, but that’s what makes it such a fun and exciting adventure story 😁 I need to remember sticky notes as cover ups!

I love love love the rain but I live in Portland Or where it is GREEN all winter, and native shrubs start the flower in January, but Rosemary, calendula and violets flower all winter. HOWever I feel super duper tried when it gets cold. Apparently northern people all over the world traditionally slept 14 hours a day during the winter, and I try to keep that in mind: it’s a normal adaptation to hibernate during the winter (if you can manage with work/life/family).

I don’t know if this is helpful at but, when it rains here, I like to add 15 minute dance workouts to my exercise routine. Always fun to bop around, really puts a smile on your face. I’m super into Glow With Jo’s Dua Lipa walking/dance workout. Hope the weather changes for the better soon. ❤

As a person diagnosed with ADHD and suspected autism, Helen, I recommend you read this amazing book called Unmasking Autism by Devon Price. It's SO good! They talk about how autism presents in women as crippling anxiety. It's a great read!

LOVE your video (as always - your PWM are my favourites). Question I've always been meaning to ask... You work so much (business, study, exercise) and don't get the recommended 8hrs sleep each night (I can related, rarely do I get more than 5hrs/night) - I was wondering if you're able to fully concentrate when you are working and studying? That is, are you fully engaged/working for the 2-3hrs (sometimes longer) sprints marked in your Hobonichi? Or do you find yourself "zoning out" or taking mini "breaks"/distracting yourself yourself with (e.g. surfing online)? I ask because I tend to always shoot for the moon and fill every moment of my schedule (work, study, hobbies, cook, clean, exercise) - which I guess is good/I learn & get a lot done - but when I am working/studying (since I'm so tired), I often find my mind wandering, getting the urge to self-sooth (e.g. watching videos, window shopping online), or just closing my eyes to rest/zone out in my chair. Does this happen to you too? If not, do you have any tips? Thanks!

I go through something very similar where I just can't stop my brain from wandering. So for example when you see a 3hr design block, I am very likely not designing for 3hrs straight. I will likely finish one piece -> respond to a few emails -> finish another part -> respond to a few comments -> finish another part -> call a shipping company -> etc.
I don't tend to self-sooth though, but that might be because I am already watching something while designing!

As someone who has just been diagnosed with ADHD in my mid-30's I feel SO MUCH BETTER knowing what causes me my struggles. Might be worth while looking into for sure :) I have had my thoughts that you are ADHD as well and glad others have pointed it out.

Hyperfixations that come and go are also common with autism, so if you do speak to someone about potential ADHD, have them consider autism as well :) The routine things you talk about is very very prevalent in autism as well so :)

We all have some personality traits to some extent :) it becomes a "personality disorder" when there traits are very dominant and interfere with our daily function. You have traits, which is normal, and not very difficult to work on together with a good therapist :) Also, I don't think you would have been so loved by so many if you "simple" and "regular" (not a big fan of these terms but couldn't find something else) ❤

Helen, as a nail tech, i feel like i need to tell you that your nails are NOT supposed to feel/look brittle when you get them done often. If the tech files through layers of your natural nail plate while removing gel polish or doesn't soak gel polish for long enough (resulting in prying polish off by force), you'll see that effect of weak nails. THAT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN. Please consider going to a different tech next time you want to get them done (and especially re-done). 🙏🙏

"I have an unhealthy obsession with routines". It's probably not ADHD, it's more likely to be autism. If you were considering asking your doctor about ADHD, I recommend that you ask for an Autism assessment instead, which would cover both. 💕
Maybe autistic rather than ADHD. Though you can have both (I do) and there is plenty of overlap. Hyperfocus, for example. But your love of routine and being thrown when the routine is disrupted reads more autistic to me. As always, love the videos.
