We were having so much fun catching the last light of the day we ended up having to film this walkthrough in the dark so the quality isn't crash hot and i apologise for that.

However if you want to feel good about this cool and conservative family cruiser you must watch the intro and outro drone clips where we cruise through large rolling seas on a beautiful setting sun behind the city skyline up on the Goldie.
It amazing memories like this that can only be created on a boat and if you're searching for that highly capable package that really does keep an entire family happy for a week or more of cruising then you must investigate the Beneteau 41 Swift Trawler!
Please enjoy, i did!

Ordered this boat in September 2021. Its just now being shipped to U.S., so I'll be taking posession in May 2022. Literally have watched dozens of videos about this model on RUclips. The interior walk through at night was perfect to show nighttime lighting. Something not previosly seen and important to get a feel for. You leave no stone unturned, so I discovered new storage areas and "Ah, that's how it works" moments. Very thorough. Also, your points about who this boat is best suited for validated my reasons for choosing it.
G'day Patrick, this is great feedback so thanks for that. I hadn't actually considered that showing the evening lights is a real good point for potential owners so i'll try and add this to future walkthroughs of boats in this category. Super happy to hear we are both on the same page in regards to the boats target market and usage. I always just get onto a boat and let the design talk to me as I'm walking through the boat. The features and design cues generally explain to me who the boat is intended for and then the video just flows from there.
May will be beginning of your summer so i hope you enjoy your new boat and have heaps of fun discovering all the cool features and what they can do for you! Enjoy!
Would you have some financial tips for me please,so I can also one day afford some nice boat ?
When the time comes and I retire, I can see myself moving in to one of these and liveaboard happily ever after. Great looking practical boat! Great review too. Well done!
This would be a fantastic boat for that! No worries, thanks for the feedback!
“This is the master cabin where all the action happens!”….. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Exactly! Relaxing with your favourite book… enjoying a cuppa… watching a movie.. we’re on the same page 🤣
fabulous night time tour. It took it to the next level.
Oh I’m happy to hear that! Thanks for watching
One of my favorites... Love it... Thank you...
Awesome and no worries! Honestly that sunset was epic! Imagine doing the same off Cape Town..! Would be amazing 🤩
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife That would be a dream came true... :)
Awesome video. The most comprehensive walkthrough of the ST41 on RUclips, along with your sea trial video. Pity you didn't get to do the flybridge justice.
Thanks for that Mark! Yes we were having so much fun driving it we just ran out of light. I'm glad it was useful and thanks for the feedback!
Great review Dan! Tom always finds the best angles
Thanks!
Très bonne présentation d'un excellent bateau ; le fait de faire la présentation la nuit permet de constate 'l'efficacité des éclairages..merci
Oh great I’m glad that helped!
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife 😀
Another fantastic video! Keep up the great work!! Really love this layout - popped onto one before, so well thought-through.
Thanks Mark! I appreciate your continued support 👍… that teak cockpit table storage was probably my favourite surprise! Just a neat boat this one
Hi Dan, great video! What else should I be looking at in this category? I've looked extensively at the Greenline 40 Fly, Prestige 420 Fly, Galeon 400/440 and the Regal 42 fly. I really like the aft galley layout, function, interior styling and economy of the SW41. If I were buying today, I think the ST41 would be best for a couple doing 3-4 months at a time on the US East Coast and inland waterways. Is there anything else in this price range and size I should be looking at? Must have a flybridge, aft galley, and standing headroom in the master cabin. Thanks!
You were doing such a good job, so much better than others. So perhaps if you can do a sea trial, you can then re-do the forward deck and flybridge in the same style and detail? Hope so...
Thanks Andrew 🙏… I did actually film a sea trail which you can find on the channel. Unfortunately that was the only day I could get on the boat before the owners left for an adventure I believe? Because of lock downs I wasn’t able to return. Hopefully I’ll get another opportunity on the Swift Trawlers in the future because I really do like this range. Thanks for the feedback
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife So I now understand, thank you. By others I meant other RUclips boat presenters, as I also really enjoyed at the other end of the motor boat spectrum your Saxdor 320GTC reports. The quandary: Limited space but fast, or economy but enjoy everything stored on the way and when one arrives. May be an angle for you and an excuse to finish the outside on the ST41 by comparing the two model types?
By the way, that winch at the back is to pull the dingy up which pulls along on rollers and loads from the port side of the swim platform.
Thanks yes i've since learn't this. Great boat!
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife it is. Perfect for family get aways for a few weeks. I'm probably going to get one and take delivery in Malaysia and take it across to the Philippines, so looking to max the range out. Might even fit a Quick Gyro stabilizer in the Lazarette at some point if I find her too rolly at anchor.
I quite like the layout even if the build quality looks a bit marginal in places. They make a hardtop version without the flybridge which looks a bit smarter to my eye. I think the warping winch is also used to bring the tender aboard. One think I don’t understand about these French boats is installing tiny 9” MFDs on what is supposed to be a trawler style boat. Should be 12” at least
I agree with you the layout is super smart! In terms of build quality it’s the same with all the mass producers so as long as you look after it you should get plenty of good holidays on a boat like this. Yes the sedan version does look great 👍 I’ve not seen one in person yet but would like to test! Thanks for watching!
As with all the Swift Trawler range the 12" screens are an option. There's loads of options actually so you can configure the boat exactly like you want it.
Love the comfortable trawlers that can be quick if i need to move, but i struggle to accept a cruising vehicle that is not good for traveling without racing from fuel station to fuel station. Comfort would be obvious. I’d be curious about quality of manufacturing and fuel consumption, tank capacity, range because cruising is distance.
The 41 actually has a LOT more interior space than I thought it would, if that radar mast is foldable, it would be just about perfect for doing the Great Loop here in North America. I have to say that while I REALLY like the styling of the Swift Trawler line from Beneteau, I DON'T like that they still use wood coring for the hull and other structural components, unless they've changed very recently that is.
G'day, yes i agree 100%. At every turn i kept being surprised about the amount of space plus the wise design choices that make that space practical and useable for multiple people and activities. This would function very well for a week on the water with 4+ people.
Regarding the cored hull, i dunno if it is the case so would need to ask Beneteau. Wood core gives you very good strength but rot can be an issue if water is allowed to get in so yes that needs to be considered. I'm not sure if cold vs hot climates make a difference to this so would be interesting to understand if someone from a cold climate can comment?
My observations in general is that the large volume production builders will make some quality sacrifices in order to keep the price down and the man hours during build low. While this can be a compromise for owners it is true that they seem to hold their value on the brokerage market so you can get in and out of boats like this fairly easily and cost effectively which is a big advantage as well.
Thanks for the feedback
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife it does use balsa core. I was recently on a well used 2015 Swift 44 in Thailand and it was in great shape so I think if you do your maintenance and look after it it will be fine for decades of use.
Hi,please.I want to know the type of engines, fuel tanks, the range, and of course the price.
Check out my test drive video on this (video description) where I show you all of that
Lots of space for a 41 footer, 47 is markedly larger.
Amazing use of space for a 41ft boat! A family would be so comfortable for a week away on this. The 47 must be a battleship compared to this!
Beautiful boat, camera man needs some better skills - really couldn't see some of the things you were pointing out.
Great boat, especially coming from sailing in my opinion. I don't actually have a cameraman i just give the camera to the dealer who's boat i'm filming and i try to coach him on how to film me.
I am not a fan of the IKEA style interior. Deep rich woods are more my idea of a good time.
Take a look at the Whitehaven Harbour Classic 40 on my channel then. These boats are more custom and i think you find more of what you like there. Thanks for watching
Got tired of seeing you, the camera holder focused on you and you alone. Did not see in the lazarette nor in the galley or most important inside the engine space. Just watched you yak away.
This was one of our earlier videos and i know what you mean i got tired of seeing me too. My camera lens and rig for this shoot was actually too big and without a wide enough angle to capture everything so thats the best we could do. Thanks for the feedback and i'm aware of this so trying to improve, cheers

I don't speak this lingo but hope you enjoyed the video :)
Well this sucked didn't even show us inside the cupboards in the kitchen, what was the camera person thinking we want to see inside all the cupboards guys .
Sorry Tanya, more cupboards next time - noted.
Wow .....show some manners
