Reminder that Sol wash scared af of Ky when he first saw how brutal and perfectly calculated Ky was when killing the gears during the crusades, so much that when Ky first challenged him to a duel Sol thought he was going to die
So yeah when you can make the protagonist that has killed what's the equivalent to Godzilla twice feel scared for his life I'm sure that's won't make you boring
Ky really made the one man that couldn't die feel like he was about to die. Immense aura.
Ky is not boring people just don’t read or understand his character
In my experience the same people who legitimately complain about Ky being boring and a whitebread character are the same players who think rehashed Sea World jokes about May are peak comedy
I think people call ky boring because of his gameplay more often
I dont really like the gameplay but he is a badass character, probably my fave after the Badguy himself
I think he's boring to play as, but the character is metal as hell.
A child soldier who helped usher in an era of peace by making peace with Gears. If that's not badass enough, what about the time he survived a gunshot? Or the time that he used Dragon Install against full-powered I-No?

his story is pretty much him having to stand tall for his kingdom and familly even though he isn't sure where to go next. He just hopes the path he'll lay will lead to the light
His theme is about his entire view being flipped on his head, going from killing all gears in his sight to marrying and having a child with one. The 'light' is symbolic, trying to show everyone the wrongs in his views and the true passivity and friendliness of gears. Otherwise ye that's true
His design is normal at best. His story, his journey, his naivety, struggles, what he fight for.... since the Gear Crusade up to Strive is far more interesting.
His design just turned casual in Strive lmao

What's interesting about Ky is that if Ky didn't exist, the entirety of Guilty Gear's Universe would have been different.
Firstly, Sol would have never join the order.
Second, Dizzy would have wage war against humanity after her battle with Sol.
Third, Sol would have no one to care about. He most likely wouldn't have met anyone that he wouldn't be fighting.
Also, Ky is literal embodiment of willing self sacrifice. Him and Potemkin look at themselves as not someone who can make change happen but be the sparks to send forward the next generation who can change the world. Ky was willing to die to save Sol(during Xrd's stories) before he was teleported out of the way.
And that's why Ky and Axl are the best friend characters in all of gaming alongside BT-7274
