Props for this outstanding release. I wish Retro-bit would consider re-releasing Hagane and other similar sought after titles.

Also give Front Mission: Gun Hazard a try as it's a bit of a sequel to this...sort of...not really? But still awesome.

One of my favourite games on the Super Nintendo and it was awesome did it make it to the European market back in the 90s.
I walkthrough it and I enjoyed it a lot , it reminds me Ranger-X for Mega Drive.
    Thanks for the video.

Got the deluxe and collectors edition ordered. Loved this game so much and have an emulated version on my phone and play all the time. Wonder if this version allows you to unlock the napalm gun. Play through intro level without destroying anything or picking any power/ health chips up and you unlock the napalm gun on level two. Just make sure you only destroy the generator raising up at end of the first level. Don't destroy the guns that chase you around! Complete level two without dying with napalm to keep it for the rest of the game. It is the best weapon and very powerful

Wow! I didn’t know such a great “robo-tech” game exists! Great content as always! 👍

I LOVE this game. Loved it when I first played it on my SNES back in the day - though I never got very far. Just played through the Assault Suits Valken Declassified version on Switch a few times. Really hope that one gets the physical treatment too. I have a mint-in-box copy of Cybernator, plus a copy of Valken for the Super Famicom. Will definitely be getting these physical versions.

Fingers crossed that Retro-bit release a collectors edition of that as well.

I just got the prototype to test. It's pretty frickin cool for a collector's edition.

I believe I will go this tine with the standard. The CE, beside the nice model kit looking box, there is nothing attractive, if it had a figurine like they did with Metal Storm or something more nice to display then would have been an easy choice for me.

A figure would be stunning, I would love to see that.

Had Cybernator back in the Days and loved it! Was so impressed by the way used ammo shells flew out of your mech when shooting and how bullets makes holes in walls etc.
Also one of the best soundtracks in snes. So funky and epic!
Also, one small bit of friendly critizism; get rid of the pinups in your thumbnails. It's embarrassing.

I'm on the fence with this release. Valken recently had a Switch rerelease with the usual encyclopaedic additions. Plus the game was a bit more basic (even if it LOOKED much better) than the Megadrive Assault Suit Leynos/Target Earth which had a fantastic ps4 remake a few years back. We are getting a switch version of ASL2 from the Saturn as well soon!
I enjoyed Valken but there was much less customisation. On the flip side there was a little more exploration and as I said it looked much prettier.
I'm still toying with the idea of getting this.

@@RetroGamerBoy I didn't go for it. No room for a display only piece at the moment. If a switch version of the recent rerelease came out I'd get that. I don't collect SNES or NES really

I had the PAL Cybernator cart and loved it to bits - played the Japanese Valken SFC rom later and was angry to learn they mutilated the game quite badly in localisation - can't have mature drama in a silly video game, right? This physical re-release is nice I guess, but what I'm hoping for is a full-on modernized remake as they've done with Assault Suit Leynos.

Assault Suit Leynos is so goddamn hard. I get about 3 minutes in and bail!

This was the sequel to Assault Suits Leynos that was released on the Megadrive as Target Earth...looks like complete ass, but plays OK. Assault Suits Leynos 2 on Saturn is pretty good too.
As mentioned, Front Mission: Gun Hazard on SNES is great. Metal Warriors is also very good and quite similar. Macross: Scrambled Valkyrie is one of the SNES's top shooters too.
If you like mech/strategy, I can also highly recommend Into The Breach...its a mech-based strategy puzzle game from the same people that did FTL

Bro, you look good in profile, but it's a REALLY weird filming angle. Just use 2/3rd angled shots.

"... break the perimeter!" is definitely better than the original "... after penetration..." heh. Although i can't fault Konami for translating it that way given the visuals :P
But looks like you are playing Aeon Genesis' translation which restores all the cut content, character portraits and the secret ending. Unless Retrobit has something new up their sleeves on their translation... i'm still nabbing that collector's edition though. This poor series... renamed, mangled translations, each new entry released on a different console heh.
