That's the best K'rrik showing I think I have ever seen
i've seen a few turn 0 wins... this deck is kind of sad with how slow it is.
Have few gameplays of K'rrik , but the modern build of deck is really NEAT , best monocolor in ALL cEDH.
I do this regularly with my K'rrik Son of Yawgmoth deck. It's a very busted glass cannon.
Bro wheeled into a god hand
How
Yea!!! I love when a mono-color deck just runs like a well oiled machine!
A well oiled Phyrexian machine
Was just having a debate about K'rrik. Yeah, mono-black is weak on interaction. But that just means you need to win before your opponents have interactions or staxx. Which, as Peter displayed, isn't out of the question.
If you wheel with a K’rrik player behind you and don’t win, get ready to bathe in that Phyrexian oil baby.
That was incredible! Just as Richard Garfield intended.
when wheel of misfortune truly lives up to its name lol
lol!
When I see K'rrik, I C'lick.
Congrats to Peter with outstanding wins. Hail Phyrexia! 🙌
Bring more k'rrik videos, have really few gameplays of the deck.
Our lord and savior, the father of machines, god of phyrexia, all hail the mighty Yawgmoth
I've been piloting K'rrik Son of Yawgmoth for years now, and I have had so many turn 1 and turn 2 wins. Phyrexian Mana truly is a force to be reckoned with. A good pilot that knows the loops and interactions is so essential though.
This is NOT a entry level deck in any sense. If you like math, puzzles, and entering your mind palace while playing magic, this is the deck. Every hand is gas. Wheels are inconsequential usually because 7 more cards of pure gas is just as good as it was before.
That was so obscenely disturbing and entertaining to watch... and a justification for why my K'rrik deck would usually get nuked before I could do anything.
Hahaha me too, i have this same feeling, this justify ALL hate i recive kkkkk
It’s the same as playing tergrid, everyone wants you dead
This video is the reason I built K'rikk. The sheer amount of turn 1 or turn 2 wins is such a high. Feels like you're playing modern YGO with the ability of this deck to play through interaction and through the graveyard. Very flexible on the win cons as well. There's an infinite loop with Dimir House Guard and Chainer with Gray Merchant but sometimes in a grindy game you might only need to loop him like 2-3 times to close out the game.
@5:40, Saw in Half actually doesn't make tokens in this case. It has the text, "If that creature dies this way, its controller creates two tokens..." However, there is a Yawgmoth's Will in effect and Gray Merchant was exiled and did not die.
Saw in Half is a really new card and I think is similar to when people put Eldritch Evolution in the graveyard after it resolves instead of exiling it. Gameplay was still great! Thanks for the wonderful content.
A creature still dies even if it doesn't hit the graveyard so long as it was sacrificed, destroyed, or brought to 0 toughness.
@@nickplays4400 Incorrect, the game defines "dies" as follows: 700.4. The term dies means “is put into a graveyard from the battlefield.” I Head Judge a lot of events, I get paid to know the rules and double checked to make sure I wasn't missing anything before I posted the above comment.
@@sylvandata this is 100% correct and also why Leyline of the Void stops Opponent's Dying triggers as well.
Oh my goodness you’re so right @jamesdesjardins7143! I got so excited since I had just swapped in Saw in Half that I tunnel visioned on trying to win with it. There were other winning lines available with the Blood Celebrant and the wealth of tutors available to me but you’re absolutely right that was a mistake on my part. Good catch!

@@MortiviusMTG You have THE MOST beautiful mono black deck i've ever laid eyes upon. That TSR foil gary-*chef's kiss*
If you ever need overwhelming proof of why phyrexian mana was a mistake and why spending life instead of mana is such a powerful mechanic, there you go.
Don't matter if k'rrik ain't that great
@@TCG9777did you just watch that game? He’s really freaking good
@@TCG9777 not that good? If I'm not mistaken he is the best mnoblack commander and there have been several games between play to win and playing with power showing hom winning t1-3 consistently
@@omgwtfstfuroflmao still he s a tier 3 cedh deck. You play monoblack for better and for wrost. If you think about it he had lotus and all of the tutors. Insane luck
Luck only gets you so far. It was skill that took Peter over the finish line.
Lessened learned K’rrik is an on sight kill. Yeah Peter was a boss but wow.
This is why K’riik is my favorite. Super strong and a challenge to pilot correctly. But once you figure it out it is the most satisfying.
holy moly K'rrik absolutely SMOKED the table. Peter piloted the deck to perfection. also shows why phyrexian mana can brutal when the goal is to win as fast as possible.
In game 2, I think there were a good dozen or so cards that Peter could have topdecked to win on turn 1 again, or at least slam a turn 1 Necropotence. He ended up drawing a basic Swamp, but it really shows how strong K'rrik can be.
This is part of the reason I've been playing K'rrik for a year now. I will always watch a video with this deck.
that first game was completely insane
RIP Charles, I was really hoping they could stax the table.
That turn 1 Krrik win is the stuff I live for in cEDH
Peter did Krrik and I hope he was happy for what he was doing. It was beautiful
Ruling**
I could be wrong because I’m new to Magic, but he casted Yawgmoth’s Will which creates a replacement effect. Saw in half has to have a creature die by it to create 2 tokens. Since it gets exiled instead of GY it’s not treated as dying thus not getting 2 more copies of Gray and he effectively just lost gray + saw in half and whatever life he threw into it.
You are correct. They Misplayed that interaction.
Yeah, but don't worry...it was only a WotC employee that did it.
A few folks have pointed that out, and y’all are exactly right. I got so excited since I had just swapped in Saw in Half that I tunnel visioned on trying to win with it. There were other winning lines available with the Blood Celebrant and the wealth of tutors available to me but it indeed was a mistake on my part. Good catch!

SAW IN HALF FOR THE WIN! Ive been waiting to see that card pop off.
Except that it shouldn't have worked since the Yawgmoth's will prevented the Gary from dying (Saw in Half requirement) since Yawg exiling it instead.
@@thetimebinderwas looking for this comment, to see if I was just misunderstanding things. Another misplay in game 2 was holding back on using mental misstep on the blood celebrant letting krrik pay for all mana costs
Shout-out to Alex in game one for the high quality gameplay.
100%. Letting his buddy pop-off like that has Big Deck Energy, and is so much more strategic than most would think.
Best Krrik pilot I´ve seen in a while. A true expert!
This was a crazy win, amazing build!
Appropriate to have the Scourge Alters sleeves for K'rrik Peter. RIP everyone else.
Wow, that made my jaw drop to the floor!!! Great games from K'rrik!!!
Talk about a god hand after a Wheel! That was something else.
Holy cow that turn 1 with Krriik!!! Nice!!!!!!
Clicked as fast as I noticed k'rrik was in the episode
Charles is always playing solitaire, Ashani always makes me scratch my head with his constant go for broke/I want that win plays, and Alex playing Kinnan probably means he was tired of losing earlier games. Hard to beat phyrexian mana when 1 when doesn't believe in interaction and the other 2 don't have it.
I just made a krrik deck, tried not to make it pure cEDH (maybe a 7-8 power level) and still ended up winning on turn 3 🤷♂️
I didn't know my jaw could be dropped for that long. LOL WOW PETER!!!!
Just noticed on the second watch that Kinnan had a turn 1 Trinisphere on deck. Sometimes turn order matters a heck of a lot
New Playing With Power! Let's go!
Presentation quality is always improving in these games and it shows. A possible suggestion is adding the commanders color identities/mana symbols to the area where their picture is during gameplay. Nice low effort reminder for each deck rather than always knowing whats what
This is why I like to play casual and watch competitive. 😮😢😂
man that krrik deck was so fucking cool
Damn I just bought a Blue Farm deck. Guess I’m going to pick up a K’rrik deck as well. If only someone would’ve been able to play a Dranith Magistrate!
A lot of people unfortunately don’t realize that Peter didn’t win that game because gray merchant got exiled due to yawgmoth’s will effect making cards go to exile instead of graveyard so it never got to “die”. Good showing of the deck though.
A few folks have pointed that out, and y’all are exactly right. I got so excited since I had just swapped in Saw in Half that I tunnel visioned on trying to win with it. Great gameplay! Yawgmoth should be proud of his boy 🤗
Just wondering if Saw in half would still make the tokens even with the Yawg will active for the turn? Gray would get exiled instead and wouldn’t die? Let me know :) great video
Always uploaded on time for my coffee 😎
is there any way you could mention if they kept the first seven or took the free mulligan? would help with identifying how each pilot prioritizes mulligans. I understand if you can't and most ppl won't care, but it would be nice
I think thats can be a kind of séries/special match, like "PRO" match, showing Mulligans and a kind of decisions and comentaries , but need to be showed/played by a really good ppl.
I knew game 1 was over turn 1 as soon as that wheel resolved.
Wheel into lose is such a common play pattern that I constantly see even on turn 1.
Badass showing for K'rrik! Blood Celebrant MVP for sure. Though that non foil Blood Pet stands out. All those masterpieces and judge foils but no 7th foiled Blood Pet? C'mon man... LOL
Agreed, especially since Blood Pet is a fairly inexpensive foil by 7th edition standards
Lol 7th FOIL blood pet is expensive and hard to find , i think more hard than kaladesh masterpieces.
@@15brener it's $75...
@@15brener Funny.. I had one just chilling in my binder for ages but finally got someone to trade for it after owning it for over a decade.
nice games :) i love it. Thank you Peter!
This is the definition of "whatever it takes"
Game 1 was even more ridiculous because of that wheel before even playing a single card. Big gamble that paid off huge.
where did peter get those sick card sleeves? i can't find them anywhere.
that first game was amazing! would love to loose against that XD
Can anyone help me find those phyrexian card sleeves? I know they're custom but whenever i try to look up the photo used for them, i just get literal photos of card sleeves
Peter soon banned from the table...😂😂😂
I was so excited to see heliod and then…
Nice k'rrik combo. I love it.
I want to know where to get those Phyrexian Sleeves! Are they custom designed sleeves?
Yep, custom. You can get custom sleeves at the Dragon Shield custom Sleeve Crafter. Link in the description.
Whoop! K’rrik in da house!
My man! I've only gotten a turn 1 once with k'rrik this is excellent
Even though I’m not one to pay life for anything, unless they absolutely have to I appreciate both wins
Peter u mad man, double kill is very nice sir, judge my opponent going off, gg everyone, im more a combat guy myself
This is what greatness looks like.
I get so much joy from seeing Saw In Half getting played in cedh it was my favorite card from unfinity
A few minutes before clicking on this video, I was thinking "I wonder if Saw in Half will ever see play in a format like CEDH". It's like they read my mind!
Yawgmoths will is a replacement effect…saw in half wont create two gray copies since gray got exiled so actually a loss than a win
for the love of god please make all the decks in moxfield!!! Using TCG deck builder at this point is just embarrassing, NO ONE USES TCG DECKBUILDER TO MAKE DECKS!!!
why
Saw in half targetting grey merchant doesn't kill it due to yawgmoth's will. It shouldn't make tokens
Good catch!

That was the most convoluted way to win with K’rrik, could’ve cast chainer and tutored for dimir houseguard and just won
Despite the saw in half mistake, that win was incredible! Krrick looks sick as heck
YOOOO HE WON TWICE. That was crazy
What's the mistake here?
@@mynt4033 saw in half needs to see the creature dying, which it can’t because of yawgmoths will. Still woulda won either way though
Fun moment, Peter could win 2 game on first turn
Build your own Treasonous Ogre
God I miss my krrik deck turn one wins are the biggest rush
Wheels in control decks, amirite? 😬(Fun games & great video as always!)
I see K’rrik and I click. He’s my favorite commander.
Can anyone explain to me how Peter can become mana positive with Blood celebrant? Isn't he supposed to pay 1 black and 1 life or EACH mana of any color?
He's paying the one black with kriik, so then it's 3 life for one mana
Nope. You can just pay life into Blood Celebrant with Krrik on the battlefield. 3 life for each mana.
That first game was beautiful!
Damn Alex. Haven’t seen that shit since middle school.
I love mono colored cedh decks! Does Peter have a primer for this deck somewhere?
insane k'rrrik deck
That was a perfect pod for krrik
This K'rrik showing is inspiring
This was obscene. Yamwgmoth must be so proud. :')
Wouldn’t saw in half not work for peter since he cast yawg will?
yes and no, the original gary will die, saw in half is looking the card die first then the replacement effect of yawg will will see it die and exile it
A few folks have pointed that out, and y’all are exactly right. I got so excited since I had just swapped in Saw in Half that I tunnel visioned on trying to win with it.
