One of the best rock songs ever written. I'm so grateful I got to see it live in Jacksonville, FL 2007. This, along with Wings 1 & 2, was a masterpiece. I hope they play it again before retiring, as I will fly to wherever to hear it again, but if not, I'll always be happy I got to hear it live.
this band makes me feel like no other band ever has or will. something so special before us. the only good thing about these generations, our journeys are far more beautiful thanks to these guys.
Lucky people who went to this concert, the setlist has almost all my favorite songs. Hearing Schism, 46 & 2 and Lateralus one after the other must have been a multiple ear-gasm.
Spiral out, keep going. Best advice ever. Maynard is a lyrical genius, what with the whole Fibonacci Sequence thing and all. I'm so jealous of everybody there haha
Wish I was there. Best Lateralus I've seen yet. Been 5 years since my last show in Reno. Thank you for coming to CT...15 days till Mohegan Sun show. 10,000 capacity. Seats near soundboard.....Psyched!
I watch Tool videos to deal with my inability to accept they cancelled their current tour. I'm beyond heartbroken and devastated. But I know that when they do come back its gonna be f'n EPIC and magical. Cannot wait.
Tool built one of the most astounding pieces of music around the epic gong crash at 12:52. I am pretty positive that they wrote Lateralus only to justify Danny's use of the gong. I am also realy pleased about that.
this song on the CD of " lateralus " i bought back in 2001 states on the thin plastic cover that : the song N°9 is not Lateralus but well " lateralis " .

So amazing. Thanks again. I don't suppose you managed to score any Wovenhand footage?!? They're another fave, and a particular reason why I was super sad to miss this show.
@Malis420 The video was cut and crossfaded. Watch Danny at the same time. That makes the fade pretty obvious. You can also see it in the lasers, if you watch carefully.
isn't that a drummer from King Crimson or something? I've seen a live video of them doing Lateralus with two of the guys from King Crimson jamming with Carrey and Justin during the interlude and it was pretty intense.
6:45 "The popcorn is delicious"
Good. Im glad that that's what you got out of the performance.
The "tool-gasm" at the end of Lateralus is one of the top five in Tool's library of jamz!
Total eargasm
it's #1
This has to be considered one of the greatest songs in the history of music.
I believe Lateralus is Tool's masterpiece.....their legacy.
Masterpiece and a prayer to the Soul.
I agree
Me too. My favorite album, period.

Can you imagine the skill it takes for two drummers to play in such perfect synchronization?? let alone live!
55 year's old here, still play bass and six string,
it's good to hear the good stuff has not gone away
cheers... for the best band in the world!
If I were a drummer I would be honored to jam w/ Tool on stage!!
They are best in concert. If you can aquire some lsd to take along it only makes it better
If I were a drummer I would be terrified to jam with Tool on stage, haha
Definitely one of the greatest bands ever.
this band makes me feel like no other band ever has or will. something so special before us. the only good thing about these generations, our journeys are far more beautiful thanks to these guys.
It’s crazy how they’re still holding up as one of the best bands to ever exist, they just don’t get boring
7:14 Maynard fucing disapeard! WTF?
Maynard ,Where did you go? .....another dimension?
Teleported back to his alien spaceship
He really does!! lol
Cloak: engaged.
stepped into the shadow

One of the best, nay, THE best concert I've ever been to!
This song reeks of win.
Spiral out, keep going. Best advice ever. Maynard is a lyrical genius, what with the whole Fibonacci Sequence thing and all. I'm so jealous of everybody there haha
Loved the excited little commentary I could hear during :)
Tool are in my VEINS
I really hope i can see them live!
Ich würde so gerne mal auf ein Tool Konzert...ich liebe diese Band. Einfach großartig :D
Wish I was there. Best Lateralus I've seen yet. Been 5 years since my last show in Reno. Thank you for coming to CT...15 days till Mohegan Sun show. 10,000 capacity. Seats near soundboard.....Psyched!
the popcorn is delicious. 6:45
popcorn would be pretty epic at a tool concert
I watch Tool videos to deal with my inability to accept they cancelled their current tour. I'm beyond heartbroken and devastated. But I know that when they do come back its gonna be f'n EPIC and magical. Cannot wait.
I really hope i get to see Tool live at least once :D...
So amazing.
That is awesome.
Best band alive today is gonna put out a new album, and we are gonna be lucky enough to witness it!!!!
im seeing them march 4th...cant wait
Amazing!
Thanks for that ;)
Notice that light behind Danny? It's not a screen,it's his awesomeness flowing out of him
that is one hell of a set list
Tool built one of the most astounding pieces of music around the epic gong crash at 12:52. I am pretty positive that they wrote Lateralus only to justify Danny's use of the gong. I am also realy pleased about that.
M MUERO!!!!!!!!!!! Q INCREIBLE
Best outro EVER!!!!!
im dying to see them preform!
This is the greatest setlist ever. :D

Holy shit, I want to go there.
I love occupying space!
He's so badass he's giving private lessons while performing
Tool > Popcorn
Look! There's a giant playing drums!
6:44 did maynard just say "the popcorn is delicious."?

Black then white are all I see in my infancy
Red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me
Lets me see
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
Drawn beyond the lines of reason
Push the envelope, watch it bend
Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind
Withering my intuition, missing opportunities and I must
Feed my will to feel my moment drawing way outside the lines
Black then white are all I see in my infancy
Red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me
Lets me see
There is so much more
And beckons me to look through to these infinite possibilities
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
Drawn outside the lines of reason
Push the envelope, watch it bend
Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind
Withering my intuition leaving opportunities behind
Feed my will to feel this moment
Urging me to cross the line
Reaching out to embrace the random
Reaching out to embrace whatever may come
I embrace my desire to
I embrace my desire to
Feel the rhythm, to feel connected
Enough to step aside and weep like a widow
To feel inspired
To fathom the power
To witness the beauty
To bathe in the fountain
To swing on the spiral
To swing on the spiral to
Swing on the spiral
Of our divinity
And still be a human
With my feet upon the ground I lose myself
Between the sounds and open wide to suck it in
I feel it move across my skin
I'm reaching up and reaching out
I'm reaching for the random or what ever will bewilder me
What ever will bewilder me
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been
Spiral out, keep going
Spiral out, keep going
Spiral out, keep going
Spiral out, keep going
best of the band..
There's a wicked video of him and Lombardo from Slayer (at the time Fantomas) playing Triad. It's great. Lombardo is playing percussion.
i laughed at your comment at first. and then i cried.
the popcorn is delicious
So amazing. Thanks again. I don't suppose you managed to score any Wovenhand footage?!? They're another fave, and a particular reason why I was super sad to miss this show.
Они лучшие !!!
CHILE LOS ESPERA...
@Malis420 One of the LED video panels is a couple feet further in front of the other so he can walk through.
MY FRIEND LANDO WAS THERE, DAMNIT LANDO!!!
2013: AMSTERDAM!
wish u were older , u would have seen the best of TOOL ( 93-2002 ) on stage .
Guy was probably stoned out of his mind and had major munchies. Still no excuse for not letting yourself get completely sucked into the song.
The popcorn is delicious!
keep holdin that D note justin, you can do it.
@Malis420 I was actually amazed by that XD
@Malis420 The video was cut and crossfaded. Watch Danny at the same time. That makes the fade pretty obvious. You can also see it in the lasers, if you watch carefully.
That would make sense since Danny has sited him numerous times as a huge influence.
Lo que ocurre en el minuto @12:11 es simplemente bello.
its maynard dude hes magic ahah :b
Danny also uses the gong on Schism
@Malis420 Didn't you know, he is a real trickster!
I think when Tom Delonge was on drugs and stated his new band was the 'greatest in 20 years' he was thinking he was the lead singer of Tool.
Im about to seiz out
the drummer is Wovenhand's Ordy Garrison
carry always seems to look like he is wearing armor
isn't that a drummer from King Crimson or something? I've seen a live video of them doing Lateralus with two of the guys from King Crimson jamming with Carrey and Justin during the interlude and it was pretty intense.
You really gotta whistle during the build up right before the climax of the solo?
Can anyone tell me 'wtf' is that being on the video from 7:00 on?
i heard that 's something from a movie ... is that accurate?
also if you listen carefully you can tell that the sound man turned off the mics for the second drum set, LOL
Danny Carey looks sexy with his huge drumset.
@VoidmasterNX no but I heard somebody yell "GOOD POPCORN" at about 6:50
was this in st charles missouri?
@jasonpeng1 Well, this is definitely the place to get an unbiased opinion from people.
12:08 powerful guitar
y cuando por Chile?
who is the guy left from carey?
lol... This is the funniest comment I ever read on youtube... And also, that is probably true...
Where did Maynard go at 7:11 ? O.o He just kinda disappeared...
07:10 maynard wtf. hes a magician! :D
Looked like it.
excelente
12:54 .... GONG!
That's kinda his thing. "poof" and he disappears....only to reappear lol
@Malis420 Apparently he does. lol I wonder how he did it.
who is the second drummer?
bojack
12:16, they destroyed time & matter.
splank splew sperry spluch
Enlighten me: Who is the dude on the little drumset and what is he doing (besides the obvious)?
Dude looks like Eric Clapton... I know it’s not, just trying to get a laugh, because that was my thought!
Did anyone else notice that the blue lights look like faces
Who is the other drummer ?
Danny Carey is the greatest drummer of all time
Seriously wtf I'm watched this 10 times and still don't understand wtf happened...
Even the cameraman seems surprised...huh
where did e go ?
Good point.
Sitting?
91 likes and 1 dislikes, lol. We must find the one!
