His vocals are fine, not pitchy, not loud and abrasive. Any problems people have with the vocal is the fact that your watching a video. If you were there you'd hear that beautiful voice in all it's glory.
The fact that Maynards voice isnt as good as it used to be isnt that odd... They started tool 20 years ago and he has become older! Please, keep in mind that they are not 30 anymore!

well this was done on the bands final tour before they went on hiatus. they were and admit they were very week as a band at this point and they said they just didn't feel it anymore, but in a interview back in november they did say with 2014 they do plan to make a new album and danny said it will be the best album to date and it's nothing anyone will expect to come from them
I love tool and I've seen them live more than a few times. But this might be one of their weakest performances. They are dragging the song and maynard's vocals are just average on this one.
