When my hubby and I got married we decided to plant a garden. I grew up in a gardening family and he did not. Well he went ahead and planted zucchini. He put 5 seeds in each hills of soil..there eight hills . I prayed all the seeds would NOT grow but every one grew. We ended up taking buckets of zucchini to town and put zucchini in any vehicle that was not locked at the grocery parking lot. LOL
Years ago someone wrote a hilarious short story about the many uses of zucchini, including as a baseball bat! I always think it is funny how one hides and becomes a giant size!
Yes they are very similar. We actually looked into breeding her with a Dexter to get a cross but the straws for that breed are hard to find around here.
My husband's favorite is zucchini stuffed with browned well seasined ground beef, cheese on top and bake it in tomato sauce in the oven, serve with rice. I love pasta with zucchini cheese sauce with fresh basil. Saute onions, put in shredded zucchini and stir-fry a bit, add a bit of water then cream cheese, salt and fresh basil. Maybe Parmesan. In summer it even tastes better cold.

I can just imagine how much zucchini you ended up with! I think you could have started a zucchini farm with that many plants 😂

🤣 so true. I always think I’ve got them all and then you lift one leaf and there’s a giant one hiding. Those ones go straight to the pigs 😜
The last cow you were referring to sounds a lot like the Irish Dexter, they are very hardy too. ❤
