    I like to make mini meatloaves by doing them in a muffin tin. If you are in a hurry these cook super quick. Plus i can add different toppings for different people. Some like bacon, others like pickles and mustard. They also freeze well or make great lunches

    I recently found your channel and am enjoying your content. My husband and I raised our Catholic family of 8 kids in Toronto. Like you, meals were creative, nutritious, simple, frugal. My kids are adults now, and the recipes from my kitchen are helping them in their households. Keep up the good work! I wish you and your family a blessed Lent.

    I can't wait to watch this! I'm so excited to hear from a mum with children so small. I've seen a lot of channels where the children are older or the creators just don't include their children in the videos and I'd absolutely love to know how y'all are handling tiny children to still be productive! ❤

    • @TheSacredHeartHomestead
      @TheSacredHeartHomestead  10 месяцев назад +2

      I hope you enjoy it! And I have to say that over the years with all these little kids my idea of productivity has definitely changed. I generally try to get my bases covered (which are laundry, meals and basic tidying) and then I try do one extra thing a day. Some days it gets done, some days it doesn’t and gets pushed to the next day. Eventually it does get done and then I move on to the next big task. Being ok with those days where I don’t get that big thing done was a big learning curve for me.

    Remember that God made dirt and dirt don’t hurt! As much as we clean up in our lifetimes it’s always how I have accepted the messes. Over the course of raising my 2 children I found our daughter to be far more of a dirt magnet than our son but we all create messes of one kind or another and it always involves dirt. Lent for me is a time of serious reflection more than any other season of the year but I always come out on the other side of those 7 weeks rested, renewed and revitalized…to go to the garden phase of the year and more dirt! One thing I do know is life goes so fast, children grow up and away before we know it the empty nesting requires far more time in the word to adjust to the change. I grew up in a family with 9 children and I’ve come to discover that no matter the size of one’s family the retired years are a bit lonely at times and I require more time with God to turn my loneliness to joy. Yes, I have my husband yet and he too has moments that require more time in the word but without God I know that neither of us would get through each day. Well that’s a rabbit hole for you and I guess the point of my rambling is embrace dirt and God for both bring us great joy in the end!!!:):):)

    Just found your channel and while sick in bed watching your videos. Curious, you said you were technologically challenged… what do you use for editing your videos?

    • @TheSacredHeartHomestead
      @TheSacredHeartHomestead  7 месяцев назад +1

      I used to just edit on my phone via an app called viva video and it was just terrible but got the job done. Now that I have a MacBook, I use the iMovie software to edit. It’s pretty user friendly, still confusing in my opinion but like I said this stuff doesn’t come easy to me so it might be user error 😂

    I was just wondering why the dish 'egg rolls in a bowl' has no eggs 😊

    • @TheSacredHeartHomestead
      @TheSacredHeartHomestead  10 месяцев назад +1

      Good question! I’ve never seen that type of recipe with eggs either. I think it’s because it’s supposed to be like an egg roll with no enveloppe around it, like just the inside of it. You could totally add eggs to it though I think, like you would with a stir fry.
