Saw the Steve Miller Band three times in the late 60s. Each time they surprised with great new music. The first two albums are among the best of the era. Love Steve hope he keeps going! No one plays that well without hard work. Thanks Steve!
You know, when your 80 years old like Mr. Miller is, you have to be doing this for the love of touring still. Surely he's NOT doing it for the $$$ anymore, assuming he saved and invested well. Steve Miller was one of my favorites live, seen him a few times and always THOROUGHLY enjoyed his shows.
And He's still standing & almost selling out the Greek Theatre Berkeley. I've only seen da Dead, John FOGERTY & the KNOWN Legend - Neil Young do that. All by their own names. Chuck Prophet is fine but he'd be happy to open for Steve Miller for the exposure - he gets 400± a few blocks from home in his own area. A lot of people lost it in the 'Big' tech bum.
I never followed Steve Miller until recently, finding that I knew a couple of his songs from the 80s... I think he's doing great! 80 years old and having his energy is truly amazing and managed to keep his voice 100% and his ability with the guitar seems really fine for his age.

@silversun1100 copyright strikes. I know not to post eagles (don Henley is a nut about youtube) and I found out the hard way not to post Bryan adams or Barry manilow
@@TonysMusic1974 - So you know someone who had Steve Miller Band issue copyright strikes to their channel for posting videos (or maybe you had the issue). Ive posted Steve Miller Band before over the years with no issues. The ones you mentioned above - The Eagles, Bryan Adams, and Barry Manilow I know they are to be avoided for posting - Guns N Roses is another
The Stones still got it, right, but they play with samples and even a substitute guitar player behind the stage when KR cannot play...Here that guy gives everything he has. And man, he sings the songs at the same pitch than 50 years ago ! Make sure you tell us what you'll be able to do at 80 !
I'll take 80 minutes of Steve Guitar Miller over 3 hours of most anyone else including the Stones. Keith and Ronnie are great but they couldn't play like this when they were 30!
Miller is the complete package. great voice, great guitar and great songwriter
Nice!

A wizard, a true star. One of the best guitarists abd voices ever. I saw him in 1972 in Philadelphia. He rocked the place.
I listened to Steve Miller way back in the 70's. He looks great and still sounds good. He's a legend!
