I am a bit late for this. But your chain piecing idea makes way more sense. I just subscribed.

Awesome! I have always loved a mosaic quilt but end up with sashing in the wrong places. I have always tried to do it but didn't know enough to make blocks rather than messing with hundreds of pieces. Thank you so very much!

The way you do the sashing is a very efficient way. I imagine you could chain stitch that really fast. Thank you!

Terrific use of the stunning Tim Holtz fabrics! (I love this collection, too!) Especially, that you show off the extra-special design in that larger piece of the block. I like your border variation on the original pattern too - inspiring for a new quilter like me! I think, now, that I have found the pattern for the TH fabrics that I have collected - thank you! I wonder what backing you would use to complement the front.

Hi Anita, Thank you for the nice compliment! My daughter fell in love with the quilt and decided it was going to be hers. She requested I put black cuddle on the back. I quilted it with a geometric pattern to compliment the front.
Best of luck on your quilt. I’m sure it will be stunning!!

I fairly new to quilting/crumb quilting and I love how you’ve done this.. I hope in time I’ll be able to do it... I have only a very small amount of fabric so will need to start building up my stash as they say... I wonder if the Tim Holtz fabrics are available here in the Uk 🇬🇧
Enjoyed your video too, easy to understand... 😀

This popped up after yesterday's video and as it's the type that I do I watched it. Cool colors choices. I did this using dragon material for my Grandson with a large flag(?) center. Unlike his sister he loves it to death at age 17. 😀

These are beautiful fabrics. Seeing them at the beginning it was hard to really appreciate them. Are these from a line by him or just fabrics you curated from several of his lines? Beautiful quilt!! Thanks Michael

I can’t remember if they were from one of his lines or more. I just love his fabrics, so I collect them all the time. I had been saving these for just the right quilt pattern to really show them off . 😊

Since you are putting into rows with a strip, then you could do a quilt as you go technique.
