I like that you used fabric that actually looks like glass. Stained glass artists can use a chemical to make the solder and the came look black instead of grey so your black fabric is totally appropriate for the look of real stained glass. It looks like a fun quick quilt to make. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks you so much for your method ! It is the better way I found for Mosaic technic, more fast and more simple to create. I am very grateful for your video! All my best from Montreal, Canada!
Hey Jamie! Thank you for sharing your process of making this beautiful quilt. I’m waiting for my fabric for the old school stain glass quilts. I’m looking forward to doing it. Can’t wait to see how you will end up quilting it. - Stephanie
great tutorial, I am using this to make a quilt for my grandson. thank you a lot Jamie i will number each blocks on the left in addition to the safety pin and maybe alphabets on the left side blocks to keep my order this will help me to keep the order
hello, i have just watch this and i was mesmerised! thank you for sharing. i am a newbie, but think i would try it on a smaller scale for a table runner.
Thank you. I made a stained glass quilt 25? years ago of batiks and had forgotten how to shuffle the cuts. A couple ideas...a paper pieced center of the Nativity with the batik stained glass surrounding it like a church window--maybe a wall hanging. Or use a collection of prints (patriotic or fruits or bugs) with a little wider leading of a coordinating color.
Oh My Goodness I just found you on UTube after watching Miss Pat Sloan this morning. Hello from Virginia Beach. I’ve watched this video twice already. This is going to be my next quilt. Love your puppy. I have one as well.

Beautiful! Thanks for the tutorial. I have a layer cake of batiks that I'm going to play around with your idea. I love the black strips to create the stained glass lead.
Then I would say you would have to use duplicate colors. Instead of 12 different fabrics use 12 fabrics with two of each matching colors. Just a guess, I have not tried using duplicates.
You might want to try alternating cuts from side to side with cuts from top to bottom. This will help you to have blocks that are more square than rectangular.
Each of these blocks has 8 sections. There are 12 different fabrics. In order for every block to contain every color, you have to cut twice more (I think) to make each block have 12 sections. If you used 8 fabrics, cut into the 8 sections, you would have every color and 8 blocks.
Well… I haven’t got it quilted yet. I’m still hoping my long arms skill will get better. I will have a video when I do get it quilted. Thanks for asking and thanks for watching 😊

Beautiful! Thanks for the tutorial. I have a layer cake of batiks that I'm going to play around with your idea. I love the black strips to create the stained glass lead.
Thank you
Nice!!!
One inch strips, with 1/4 inch seams, will leave the dimensions of the blocks the same, no matter how many cuts or which direction you make the cuts
Maravilhoso!! Obrigada! 🌹
Thank you so much for sharing. I have a question. How many blocks would you require fo a queen/king quilt?
Maybe 20 blocks, 4 across and 5 down. You could always make the borders larger or add a third border.
Is your black cut on the bias? How long was each black strip?
Супер!❤🎉
dark blue
Why do 4 blocks have no yellow in them? This technique looks doable but I'd like all the colors in each block.

I'm interested how you're going to quilt this one
