Hello gorka gg for your tutorial, but what the difference between material and that ?
so, do you think it is "just" a tool to generate a static texture, or does the texture graph could be referenced in material and lead to dynamic procedural texture of some sort ?

So can I use this graph in a blueprint? How can I access the variables? I don't see a promote to variable option. I'm trying to create a simplex noise texture with it, but it doesn't seem like I can control the frequency, octaves, lacunarity, etc. outside of the graph itself.

This is only good for people who aren't into art, GIMP, photoshop, paintbrush. lol.... Maybe.... Useful for User Interface Game development.
not every style needs complicated textures... for the beginning of a projekt or for wireframes its enough
You are so right, this is for people who are not artistic in any way and probably programmers who never touched a graphic program. (I code in C++ btw, so its not like im talking programmers down, but being honest most programmers never touched art, so they probably gave this for people to have at least some way to texture even if you never had anything to do with it). Nobody that can make proper textures will use this, the biggest point of Artistic software is a easy to use interface and most visualization of what you are doing. We have Substance painter, don't need anything else, its the greatest program ever made for texturing. This node system is like having already a easy to use, absolutely perfect program and then releasing a absolutely horrible solution just to say its in house. Same as with the modeling tools. Whoever uses this is mathematically trying to do art lol!
@@DarkSession6208 so true.. im an artist but i just wanted to make an placeholder torch so i could try to make the programming behind it without spending time by making one with blender or finding one in the marketplace
