Now that the official version of Unreal Engine 5.4 has been released, I checked on the status of Motion Designer and it's still "Experimental" and not "Beta". I really hope Epic commits to adding Motion Design to the permanent list of plugins.
its such an awesome plugin! I can't see them abandoning it
@@Unreal_KatyaFedak Yes, it brings some of the power of Blender's Geometry Nodes to Unreal Engine.
its good trick :)
Thanks! :)
very nice tutorial and pretty easy to follow. subbed ❤
Thank you!
Very helpful, thanks.
Excellent ! Thanks !
Phenomenall !!
유익한 정보 감사합니다.
Awesome!🎉
really neato thanks!
Great tutorial, do you have any way to make the plants jiggle after growing? Kinda like how we had the jiggle deformer to objects in c4d after the any effector animation
I would add another effecter. I hope in the future they will add more tools for the motion design mode.
New sub :D
Thank you! :D
Awesome tutorial! Is it possible to control where the clones appear using a texture? Some type of mask setting for the cloner? I saw someone post a finished video of a similar effect using the motion design tools but I can't find any information on controlling the clone location using a texture.
Thanks! You can use a PNG, from my testing it has to be pretty black and white though. I made another tutorial called Animate Text or Logo with plants that could help you with where to place you texture to test it out. Good luck with you journey :)
very nice video, congrats! I just don´t know why my grass turns off its material when pulled over Cloner, do you? :)
make sure the z location for the cloner is set to 0.01, that should fix the bug. Thanks for watching :)
Can you build projects that use motion design actors? I'd love to use an effect like this in a game setting.
Instant sub
Great tutorial! I have a question at 1:26 . I import the obj or fbx file which I download from sketchfab, the textures still gray when I turn the location 0.01. BUT when I import the object from Quixel Bridge it works. Is that we can only import object from Quixel Bridge?
Sweet.
InstantSub for Dense and Practical tutorial.
Thank you, I appreciate it! :)
Do you know how I could have the tree grow with the foliage? I've tried putting an effector on the individual tree mesh but it doesn't work the way I'd like it to. Kind of like a tree growing from nothing. Thanks!
Ok, so I have a problem! Maybe someone knows the answer. I am using a cloner for a growth effect with two effectors. One of them is a plane type for growth animation, and the other is a sphere type to exclude that region from the effect for some time. Everything works fine until I start to animate the sphere effector to cover that region with foliage when I need it. In that case, it works weirdly - the foliage scale in the sphere region has no limits and starts growing infinitely. Some minor changes inside the cloner help, but after a new loop of animation, everything starts again
I can't wait in 5 years when developers won't be able to write code and I will be hard to find a decent "coder-developer". Time to make millions hehehe
Noice
works in a moving character?
Can you use these effectors in real time environments? Having it attached to an actor and wherever they go the vegetation appears?
Yes, you have to play with the settings a bit, but it can be done. Let me know if you would like to see a tutorial for this?
cool 公司
I can't find the setting to make the plants appear in a less uniform way, or at least to make it at least gradually random.
Any ideas?
With your cloner selected, under render mode switch from Iterate to Random. If you want to see it physically I went over it in my Move and Scale Objects With Your Character tutorial at 1:45 . Hope this helps!
Hi.. What about if I want to do something like. Annilihation movie.. That infected body.. Can I use this for those ivy.. roots or veins..(I dont know what is that 😅) The assets orientation have to be different?? Thank you
I think a Procedural Ivy Generator plugin would work well for the roots and veins. Wish you luck on your journey :)
Nice! Can this also work at runtime?
Im pretty sure
Would this work in 5.1?
nope 5.4 introduced motion design, I definitely recommend upgrading when you can :)
have u found any issues with svg files?
Green Man
I LOVE THEM :)
