  • We had a great time testing the new Amflow PL 2025 (800wh) at Barry Sidings, Pontypridd. Thanks again to Don Skene Cycles for allowing us to use the demo bike for the day. The Amflow features the new hyped DJI Avinox motor system, which is super powerful and lightweight. It provides up to 105Nm constant assistance and a 30 second boost mode takes this to a whopping 120Nm!
Unfortunately we crashed twice, one was quite a spectacular fall! However, this was not the bike's fault.
There is a lot of speculation weather it is only suited to lighter trails but we rode a lot of steep tech and never felt under biked. Barry Sidings is always a good laugh but many of the trails were blocked by fallen trees following recent storms. We'll definitely be back for another go in the future!

Thanks 😂. To be fair it was not the bike’s fault. Pedal jammed under a root and I was clipped in! Couldn’t get off the pedals in time

Great vid, great riding, great venue and looks like a pretty good bike. I realise it’s not intended as a park bike and shouldn’t be bought for that - it’s poppy, reasonably light, trad geo and flickable it seems. Having explained that, would you take it to Dyfi and, if so, which tracks?

Thanks! We’ve actually not been to Dyfi yet, but can’t see an issue hitting big jumps and features on this as long as you are landing smooth. However, it probably won’t be as durable as a proper enduro or downhill bike!

Just to add, we’ve hit some pretty big stuff on 130mm travel bikes and hard tails, a lot of people are over-biked nowadays and it’s surprising what can be done on bikes like these!

I think I've ridden with one of you before with Anton and Chris on a WNR? Barry Siding is a pretty extreme place to test it. I think if you can get down the trails there then it would be a great bike for around by me - Steetly, C. Coch, and TyC etc
Would love to see it in the flesh if possible. I'm in Taffs Well.

@@jbonexc1725 Yes sounds about right! We have been on the WNR a few times. Should be fine for the local stuff yeah! Plenty in stock at Don Skenes, we borrowed their test bike

Maybe Skenes could arrange a test ride on a north cardiff trails group ride? Hopefully a medium as I'm only 5ft 7" lol

This was the size large demo bike we had available to test. Would have been nice to test the PL Carbon Pro, however, likely more riders will be buying the PL Carbon we tried out.

@@HopkinsBros Indeed. There are so many tests of the Pro out there. But most of the people seem to aim for the PC Carbon, so it kinda makes more sense to test that one too, rather only focusing on the Pro.
