I'm in day one of a 2-day meeting and my lunch break ended.
Anyway…
Perceived country of origin:
Luffy - Brazil
Usopp - S Africa
Nami - Sweden
Zoro - Japan
Sanji - France
Zoro's other two swords were shattered in the fight with Mihawk.
The last three episodes of this arc (43, 44, 45) would be good together, but no biggie if not.
Episodes 46 and 47 are a manga cover story, a little break before the next arc. Those definitely make more sense together.
And thanks for that, I now see Boo's father too.
Two day meeting?? Hope it went well!! And thanks for all the tidbits of info, we didn’t know Nami’s country of inspiration was Sweden!!
Oda is on PETA's blacklist for sure
Thank you.
By the way, a lot of swords appeared this time, so I'll explain how to super easily make a Nihon toh (Japanese sword).
Nihon Toh (Japanese swords) are made from "Tamahagane" (use the iron sand) refined by the ancient Japanese "Tatara" method.
This technique was perfected over more than 1,000 years of research since the Kofun period (late 3rd century - 7th century).
The furnace is made of clay and fired with charcoal as fuel. Therefore, it is colder than modern blast furnaces. This produces high-purity iron that does not dissolve impurities such as phosphorus and sulfur, that is, the highest quality steel ever made.
Next, the tamahagane obtained in the tatara is heated, beaten to a thickness of about 3 to 6 mm, quenched in water, and selected tamahagane with the right amount of carbon for a sword, which is then heated again and hit into a lump.
The hard steel with a high carbon content is used to make the "kawagane" (skin steel) used for the surface of the blade, and the soft steel is used to make the "shingane" (core steel) that forms the core of the blade.
And each of steel is burned, hit, stretched and fold in. This is done about 15 times for the kawagane, and about 5 to 6 times for the shingane of the blade.
Then, put Kawagane and Singane together, burned hit, stretched, fold and shaped.
And "Yakibatuchi" (special mud) is applied. The buck side is thickly and the blade side is thinly. After dried and do the harden a sword.
Then, the difference in the cooling time, creates the peculiar curve and blade crest of a "Nihon toh." And after just keep only sharpening.
Nevertheless, there is a huge amount of craftsmanship required and even the most advanced science today cannot create it.
Also, the best knives today are "Sakai hit knives" made in Sakai, Osaka, using traditional techniques that have been passed down for over 600 years, and are used by 90% of Japanese professionals.
we love reading your comments - we always learn something new every time! this was some really cool info!
Why is Luffy grabbing his hand when attacking, I think it's probably because of the elastic nature of his body, so that his body doesn't get pushed when he takes the punch and his hand returns to normal. And Hachi is a name to remember. I love seeing honest and natural reactions. You guys don't hold back on showing good reactions. fighting!❤😊
LMAO we definitely do not hold back 😂 You should watch our intro for our reaction to JJK S2 EP 19. We really went off on that one 😂
@@tobototoki I don't like JJK as much as One Piece so I never watch anyone's reaction videos. but since you mentioned it maybe I'll watch it 😊
the average temp since the summer has started here is around 80F, got to love the summer heat... perfect weather to be on a ship 😏
I see where you’re going with this 😏 anybody looking to start a crew?
Don't wanna cry anymore?
Yeeeaaaahhhhh… You're watching the wrong show if you want that. 😏
This story will take you through every emotion. Sometimes in the same episode!
And yes, the scene where Nami finally asks Luffy for help does make a lot of people ugly cry. 😭
😂😂
zoro: ur sword and my sword carry different weight!
hatchi: ☝🤓 mine are 300kls per sword, thats 300×6=1800kls total
