That hug means so much when your overwhelmed. I'm 65 and my husband is 68 both of us have serious health problems, some days are so overwhelming. We had two children, my daughter died at 37. My son is taking care of us these days. He's 44 and has been a Godsend since the day he took his first breath. When he hugs and kisses me whatever the situation,it just becomes so much better. Let him hug you he feels your frustration, he's not only comforting you he comforting himself in that moment. He loves his momma. What an Amazing son. Your blessed and so is he.
As a long time camper I would gather my family and RV and go ahead and move. Take a couple days of clothes and towels. Live there a day an see what you need and go home and get it and repeat. You can't move a house into a camper and it is hard to decide if you have not been a camper what you need or want. I would get a storage unit and move my stuff into it.

RV living for 8 years. My advice is just put the basics in your RV to begin with or you'll get overwhelmed first thing. What looks like alot of space gets small real quick. You've got this!!
Just a reminder, make sure you put away anything glass, and store anything on you counters away. Because I didn't think about moving our RV and things shaking and moving around. It was an absolute mess, and I was in tears when we got to our campsite.
Another helpful hint, in warmer weather, I grilled or used my crockpot for everything I cooked my bread, cakes, meats and veggies in it. Get a large metal coffee can that fits in the crockpot and put foil on top and vent. I have a rival metal round cake pan, I bought many years ago. I used my toaster over or electric skillet and never used stove or burner in warm weather, it heats up camper for hours using the propane appliances. Also, keep frozen water bottles in freezer and frig helps keep it cooler. I am so jealous of your lifestyle change!

I am one of those crazy people that love to move. It doesn't stress me out at all. i wish i could come over and just help you pack and organize but i live on the other side of the Atlantic. It's breaking my heart seeing you stress out like that. Hang in there just take what you can put the rest in storage, you can always go to the storage and get stuff you actually need. Tamara, I would use the 31 blanket/storage bags under your bed storage area. Great for extra clothing that will not fit in the bedroom storage. Also be careful hanging weight on the doors, over time it causes the doors to warp. I lived in my sisters camper April-Oct (best days!), simplicity and less things was a better quality of life for me. I buy the 4 pkg totes from Walmart, I store my holiday decor and have purged down for every season except Christmas to 1 of those totes.

Door space is too valuable for laundry. I have a shoe rack on my bedroom door and a towel rack on the bathroom door. Remember those doors and walls are not like a home door. Not as sturdy. we use one of the folding pop-out hampers for laundry. I would stop buying stuff until I really knew what I really needed.
I would keep Winston’s comforter as it’s okay if it’s a little bigger than the bef
Ziploc bags are a good leftover container especially when you have limited space and they really keep the dishes down. Who else cleans out the fridge and ends up with a double since full of dishes? And the occasional science experiment? 😂 This helps stop that. And cheap paper plates. Works wonders

Hello Tamera! Please be careful with the command strip. I have had them pull off the paint and wall paper in our camper.
Take a deep breath an you will get through it. Keep getting Winston hugs. Have you ever thought about the space saver bags for your clothes, etc? Or even the 3drawer wide bins for over top of your beds? My daughter has them a she took the drawers out of the stand to put in her closet. Worked great
Tamara, everything will find its place over time. Whether it's in the RV, in the house or in storage. I was cheering when you figured out the three drawer tote could be broken down to two!! I have several of those drawer things in my house & they are perfect for us. Sorry the canvas ones were too tall for the space intended. Maybe you could still use them in another part of the RV. Ouch to your pinky toe (been there too many times & I think I may have invented some new cuss words 😂).

Walmart will take it back. I got the pink one and I didn't like how it looked so I took it back. No receipt no problem they just give you a gift card. You got this just remember 90% us are rooting for you.

One thing to remember when moving your stuff into the RV is that when you move the RV to your spot, things will bounce around. Just make sure you don’t have something special get broken! I know you’re struggling to get everything in its place in the RV but that will all come in time. Don’t stress yourself too much. Enjoy this new adventure!

When we were planning to go full time, I started by making a staging area in the dining room. I got big bins and as I went through the house I put things in the bins. They weren't organized except maybe by category. Bathroom, kitchen, paperwork, books,, games etc.. Then I moved it all over to RV. Then I organized. It helped to have a place for those items I was afraid I would forget. Organizing an RV is an ever changing thing, what works at first might have to be revisited and revised a few times. ❤ LauraD @SOLDonRVLife

When I bought bins and baskets to help with my travel trailer organization, I took measurements and pictures of the space to avoid unexpected surprises after buying them. I’m still using them after 13 years of camping.
Don’t forget to be aware of your electric limitations. Much different, much less options, than the house electric.

If you get another 3 drawer stack and take off another one stack them two high you will get 6 drawers. I loved the hug Winston gave you. He is a very sweet and caring young man.

Change can certainly be difficult, but I’m sure you’ll get used to the new way of things and it will become easier and normal 🙂
When using any adhesive pads or Command Strips, make sure to clean the area with isopropyl or rubbing alcohol beforehand. Allow it to dry completely before applying the pad/strip, and then - if possible - wait a full 24 hours before hanging anything from it. It makes all the difference! :)
clothes baskets work great on the top bunk.
Just offering what works for us when packing up our camper for the season ,I clothing that is necessary goes in first, the basic cooking needs, food next. Bedding done

If you will clean the places that you stick your command strips or anything you wanting to stick with alcohol first they will stick better
We’ve had a travel trailer and now a 5th wheel…your happiness and adventures are what matter most! You will figure out what will/will not work out but you will be fine. A suggestion- use suspenders to keep fitted sheets on the beds…I’ve done this forever and makes me happy! Im a subscriber from Richmond so if I can help with anything let me know!

Moving is stressful no matter what. I moved while 36 weeks pregnant to move into our house. I had our daughter 3 weeks later. Newborn with moving and covid. 19 not recommended. 4 years later I'm still finding where i want things to go..i worked on priorities and the rest I've worked on over the last few years. I've gotten rid of so much and that's been a huge help.
Amazon has been my go to place for so much because of sizes. The stores just never have what size i need for odd spaces. Thrifting has worked out well for storage too. I keep a list of sizes of things in the house on my phone, so if I'm out i can measure something ( i keep a small sewing measuring tape in my purse)
It will all work out. You've got this!
I wish we had Amish grocery around us. We make a list and get stuff in PA when we visit 3 times a year.

I have been feeling overwhelmed for you and I'm not going anywhere! 😅 I've been thinking, "Where is she going to put everything?" "Where would I start?" "Beats me! I'm clueless!" When the baskets didn't fit, I felt your disappointment (or frustration) When the three drawer thingy didn't fit, I thought, "Oh no! Bless her heart!" And the containers for the bathroom didn't appear to fit either! I was thinking, "Maybe I need to sit down and drink some tea on your behalf! I'm exhausted!" 😂
In all seriousness, though, Winston's sensitivity to your feelings was absolutely precious! ❤

We use over the door hangers from the dollar tree, the four hook ones, in our camper. The hooks have worn the finish off of the door. In hindsight, I would find some sticky fabric pads to put on hooks. They do hold alot. In the bathroom we hang towels on one side and the other side lightweight jackets. I hope this helps. On your bedroom door you could do your jammies on top and laundry on bottom half like Winston's.
I love R&S I've not been there in a few months though! And it's less than 10 minutes from me.
Amazon has some really great wall shelves/baskets that have a 3 m sticky to it. I have had mine for 3 years already and they are still stuck up there. You can use them on the upper bathroom wall for great storage and it will use a most often unused space.
Don't look at the whole process because that will overwhelm you. If you don't get started you will regret it greatly. Just do one room at a time. You can choose a room that you use the least to empty. Put everything from that room that you think you need to take in a box, everything to donate in a box and then trash. When the RV box is full take it to the RV and put away.

Best of luck on your new journey!! As someone who RV’d good quality vacuum sealer bags help with storage as well. You will probably change things multiple times to find what works. Finding things that have multiple uses helps as well.

Can you buy the bigger bag of flour and take out the amount you can fit in the camper and store the rest in your basement? Can you store things in totes in the back of your pickup truck? You can label them so you know where things are. It’s like camping in a way.
Yeah we had crazy weather and tornado warnings, but it’s funny how it affects your moods. Sometimes it gives me headaches. It rained so hard earlier today we could hardly see while driving. I found bread machine at the thrift store, it’s like my old one that broke right at the start of lockdowns, and which every store was sold out of them, it was so disappointing. Except this one is the double loaf size pan, so now I can do double the dough. Plus I still have my single. I was so excited when I found it.
Moving is definitely a lot of work, I try not to do it too often 😆. But it’ll sort itself out like you said. Look forward to Thursdays video!!

I know it had to be frustrating when you put the containers above the bed - dollar tree has a smaller size of those collapsing containers or they have many sizes of pretty containers that will fit up there - hang in there !!!
Curious if the one bottom bunk is removable. The dogs crate could fit back there and you could store more items. It would also give your son more play area for a rainy day. I don’t have dimensions so just an idea I saw other rvers do

I just wanted to relate to an earlier video when you said about the hoop on Winston's door and the noise from the balls hitting the door. Maybe see if you can find nerf or sponge like balls so you don't hear it hitting the door. Just a suggestion. I see you having to do all this by yourself. While your husband is on the road.
