I masked so well that I didn't discover my neurodivergence until age 50. It makes sense of my childhood and life, but I haven't found any help as of yet on how to heal wounds and find peace in the 2nd half of my life.
As far as I can tell, I'm not on the spectrum, but was always slightly repelled by the popular 'normal'. I would always find myself gravitating towards the weirdos, or the very shy lonely ones in a corner. I was one of the weird ones myself.
