- This video covers another popular and recognizable archetype in fighting games: the Boxer. It’s generally one of the most identifiable fighting styles in fighting games due to the stance the characters use and the fact that these characters use almost exclusively their fists for all attacks, even the kicks. It also helps when they wear their boxing gloves to the match, but that’s not a requirement for this list. These characters just have to be interesting with their history and fighting style in their respective games.

Thanks! Even though I'm not as experienced with SNK fighters as I am with other games, I really like a lot of the characters from the SNK fighting game library. Since I was familiar with Vanessa before I learned about all the Fatal Fury games, I have a fondness for her over the other SNK boxers, but Strowd is a unique character that deserved some recognition.

Definitely would've put Steve Fox above Balrog, personally. Balrog's great, as any boxer based off "Iron" Mike Tyson should be, but Steve Fox _is_ boxing, he's like a walking homage to all the different styles and methods out there, and there's such an honesty to his style amongst all the ridiculous nonsense Tekken presents, from androids to demon eye lasers, that deserves recognition.
Ironically Steve fights more like Mike Tyson than Balrog does lol. Steve's style is a clear hybrid inspiration of Mike Tyson and Jack Dempsey

Great idea Bobby Serrano! I could see so many fighting game magic users in my eyes. There's Zelda and Robin in Super Smash Bros, Platinum the Trinity and the Phantom Nine in Blazblue, Yasuzumi Yoriko and Dorothy Albright in Arcana Heart and even any character in any Touhou fighting game. Yugo from bloody roar is by far my favorite, that's how a boxer fights on the streets, faster and also with more speed and more organic moveset.

That actually a topic I've been working on for a side video where I turn Yugioh into a fighting game with some of the most iconic monsters. Not sure when I'll have it done, but it's something that I've definitely considered!

Top 10 Native americans in fighting games
You should do the Top 10 fighting characters of different franchise games. Like do a different video for MK, Injustice, Street Fighter, Soul Calibur, Smash Bros, Skullgirlsz, etc. You could do best designed or most memorable, or even just do who's the strongest character, either in game or in lore. I feel weird this comment isn't short, but you're my favorite Top 10 guy simply cause you do fighting games so much. And I'd really like to know your opinion on any of the subjects on all the games i mentioned. And I know you always cover multiple franshises, but if you ever wanna switch it up, pretty please tap this idea.
A few years ago, I had the plan on once I cover every playable character from a franchise, I'd do a top ten for that fighting game series, but since that's taking longer than expected, it's an idea that's certainly on the table. That being said, there are only a few Skullgirls characters left that I haven't spoken about, so maybe that idea is closer than I think.
First of all, thank you so much for reading and responding to my comment, it honestly has made a very bad day much better. If you'd be willing to share, can I ask what you were planning for the criteria of the list? Because personally my favorite franshise are BalzBlue and MK, and I know that every single one of the criteria I mentioned would have drastically different lists for them. I'm just curious because if you're taking suggestions I'd love you to do a more opinionated one rather than a tier list type video, unless its your personal tier list that'd be pretty cool. But thank you again for taking the time to respond at all. If you don't feel like spoiling the videos i totally understand :) Super excited for whatever you make next. Have a good day.
Thanks man. It will depend on the franchise. Some I might just talk about my favorites and other I might base it on how important to the series or powerful the characters on the list are, like my Most Important Mario Characters video.
