Comedy X real life issues.. Love this! Anybody going through hard times there's support always ❤
Wait so is he making a light hearted out of something he actually going through ?
@@floydlawton5072raising awareness
@@floydlawton5072 na i see it as showing how african parents dont address these issues enough or how they react.
let me know where please...
@@MaticulousGamer well its from experience so its relatable
The only inaccuracy in this video is that your parents haven't already opened your letters
This the one 🤣
Facts, Nigerian parents will open every letter that comes in the house, they will tell you it’s their house, so what?
Fr fr
"Are you just fiddling with my kid" 😅😂
The sound caught me off guard
You know it's serious when the son is providing an internal monologue like it's an anime episode 😂
🤣🤣
"all he needs is the gym, food and god" someone's despressed 😥
The "stare" Dylan's dad always does gets me EVERY time. 😂
“Are you okay to drive?” *deadpan* 😂😂😂
Having African parents and getting BPD is something else!
Growing up in an African household is not for the weak or faint of heart at all! Mental health, or autism (which is what being 'on the spectrum is') is not taken seriously - but we can still joke! Good video as always Dylan!
The last part about fruits gym and god reminded me about a comment whoich reminded them about an article ("Exporting Trauma: Can the talking cure do more harm than good?" from the guardian) where a tribe in Africa ended up asking a group of care workers, who had been assigned to help them deal with the trauma of genocide, to leave. When asked why, the tribal representatives said that it was harmful to seclude a person suffering from bad feelings and memories in a darkened room and ask them to relive their trauma. The tribe, they said, dealt with these feelings by drumming, dancing and singing in the sunshine to defeat them together and drive them into the past where they belonged. That way, they said, the person who suffered was given support, and embraced by the whole community.
not bashing therapy but usually, the main things we need to change is daily habits and outlook on life (which can be much more easily done with a community supporting you). anit-deppressents can only go so far
i agree to be honest but in today's world a lot of people don't have that support system so end up resorting to meds
Fiddlin is wild 🤣🤣🤣
‘are you okay to drive?’ is wild
😂😂😂"educate me please ", "walking barefoot " those the favorite sentences
"The gym, fruits and god" The cure to everything
True
Not always true.
God is the cure.
But the gym and fruits don't always work.
A spliff does wonders for me.
@CristanioPeweyyy how does consistently exercising and nurturing your body doesn't work?
And smoking weed somehow works?
That's abysmal advice to be frank
@@Spurgte Weed opens up your mind and gives you answers to your illness, depenind on what it is. If i'm feeling down and i have a spliff, i get clarity and find peace to accept how i am and why i'm feeling like that. Then afterwards when the high is gone, i'm no longer upset about it.
Gym doesn't work for EVERYONE. Other people require other needs.
Like i said, everyone is different, you can't treat everyone the same.
MJ made me handle depression so great. Even if i don't have a spliff, i'm 10 times better than before.
@@CristanioPeweyyy a spliff does not help u heal long term, only short term. fruits and gym are healthy, overtime u will be healthy closer to god.
Nah my Nigerian mum is like this fr😭😭
Tell her to pattern up.
She will tell you “so you’re telling me your head is not correct?” 😂😂😂
❤
I like the way you literally helping in plain sight with real facts
I know this was a hard one for Dylan to do. Man was smirking the whole time 😂😂😂😂
Yo having african parents is DIFFERENT struggle😢😢😢 anyone going thru tough times hold ya head up🙏🏾
1:35 “I was walking 50,60,70,80 miles to go to school” classic 😂
I love the fact you actually done the last scene in a waiting room which looks like a hospital. These little things make a big difference. Top class production ⭐️ 🎥
He did record it in a hospital.
@@Rose87 Even better!
"The gym, fruits and god" part killed me 😂😂
The patronising “are you okay to drive” 😂😂
'are you just fiddling with my kid' 💀💀💀💀
I feel this video so much. I know I could never tell my parents about my mental health, nor would they allow me to ever get diagnosed. My mother always says "You guys have no reason to be depressed" but she has absolutely no idea what her own kids go through behind the scenes
we need a TV show starring the Dad - just hilarious , spot on man.
whole time they the reason for your mental health 😂
Bro is playing 3 characters😂
All he needs is the gym, fruits and God🙌🏼🙌🏼 papa rested his case 💀
Well, better than the current western issue of being traumatised by a word or wind 😂
He ain't wrong
Perfect he’s back keep posting Dylan
This is educational, funny and deep.
Great work as per 👏
“You are jobless, you are not studying. Maybe if you did these things you wouldn’t have it.” He’s not wrong, if someone doesn’t have a job or business they are working on, or not studying which I’m assuming they wanted to do but too lazy to, they don’t go gym or stay in shape and do not eat healthy. The outcome to this is these depression, anxiety, adhd, and bipolar stuff. It’s your fault and your responsibility to fix it.
I’m not going to say that that’s the sole cause, and while mental health can significantly impair daily functions, it is important to have something that you’re working for, and personally taking care of yourself by exercising has been known to improve not just physical health, but also mental. I do think that having goals and things to strive for does help a person’s mental health, as it gives them something productive to focus on besides the negative thoughts and mental strain the illness causes them. It also gives them hope for a brighter future.
Very true an idol mind not having anything to do can make anyone over think not feeling good about self. Routine is very important
His dad speaking facts though 😂
Amazing!!! Love your dad though, he’s a real one.
The "Are you joking ME!!!" part hits home too hard 😂
Real talk this why i don't open up to my parents
Dylan is so underrated it breaks my heart
The Ugandan accent 😂😂
African parents actually helped with our resilience lol
Parents like to milkkkkkk it man😂 (pause)
I'm British born (indian by ethnicity) but my mum was born in dar es Salaam Africa I can definitely say this is so true
4:02 killed me 😂😂
Bro, I love this I watched it so many times 😂 this is way to funny 😹
3 weeks no upload but well worth the wait 😂
You know its a good video when Daudi is in the thumbnail
you ain’t lie 😂🔥
Gym, fruits and "God" certainly has truth to it
LOL. It's true, though. My African family didn't understand why I wanted to become a psychologist, wanted me to be a lawyer instead. Coincidentally, I'm currently studying law. SN: Love how "bipolar personality disorder" is a mix of bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder. Pick one, son! Thought this was gonna be about autism, btw. That's what "being on the spectrum" means. I think you meant "mental illness".
All of this actually happened to me I’m crying 💀💀💀 bar for bar
My guy Dylan
The dad is right this time
Every Dad Skit video, I question if Dylan and me have the same Dad. This isn't even the typical strict immigrant dad in the UK, I mean it's 1 to 1 exact same personality and traits.
Bro same shit l go through😢😂
God is the cure in all realness. Praying for you all
keep up the good content bro
Once they bring religion into it, forget about it brev
next video when bro?
Dad speaking facts
Soft societies generate soft problem's 😂
Took me 3 months to watch cause I was scared of the outcome.
You are jobble less 😂
There's definitely white parents like this, speaking from experience 😅
Dylannnn🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦🏾♀️
Dylan represents not only African parents, Asians , Arabs , Afro Arabs, Latinos , Philippinos, literally everyone that isn’t white. Dylan for minister of culture
icl gym fruits and God is good therapy lol
Amennnnn
AMEN
Damn bro, you deserve 1M subs at least. Top content, keep it on
therapy is terrible. also break down therapist into two words. strange huh
Love ya dylan
Upload more your content to funny
😂😂😂
🤔😩🤣
Yo man like Dylan
It’s funny but stop all these “walking 567km to school in barefoot and bucket on head”😂😂😂😂 Africa ain’t even like that you making Africa sound bad
20seconds gang
Second

😂😂😂😂
First
Dylan’s lucky he even managed to get his dad to tag along at the hospital, I was expecting him to just throw away the paper and act like nothing even happened 🫠🫠
tbf, dad's advice might not be wrong: gym, fruits and god fr
God might be the one who makes you crazy also...He's not known to like people who used to be able to connect directly to the Ngo (= Black Sun), and by-pass Him...just saying... the Abrahamic paradigm aren't known to love people who can/ could do that... just saying...
I don’t agree with that, but the dad was right about the therapy thing. It’s not for everyone and can be a big waste of money and time
The Flying Spaghetti Monster?
You also need professional help
@@deandrehoward1261Getting rattle at something you dont belive that exist you are such a weirdo
This is funny but at the same time black parents do not acknowledge mental health issues
The they act surprised when their children do wild things.
that last part when he said all he needs is a gym, food and God really motivated me, I been doing the same for long time but sometimes I get caught in the bad act, I will keep going hard!
God works 100% of the time.
Gym and food doesn't always work for everyone.
African Parents be like why pay to cure their depression when you can beat it out of them
😂😂😂😂
Dad saw right through the NHS…no sex change for his son 😂
🤡
And the mad thing is, we know some aunts and uncles whom are mental health nurses but they don’t demonstrate that same professionalism outside of work.
They are in it for the money lol psych nurses get paid more. You would even be shocked with how sweet those people are with the whites 😂😂
They just after that bag
When you have experienced the hardships of growing up in Africa, you wouldn’t believe them diagnosis.
The whole point of moving here was so that your children wouldn’t have to experience those hardships…
@@yolanda6392 for those kids to get "depressed"...naw
I'm actually getting convinced there's two characters when is actually 1 lol
But I kinda wanna continue to think there's two characters
My Mum is Congolese no such thing 😂
Trust me. Mine tells me “don’t even mention that name in this house”😂😂 or “don’t allow Satan to use you”🤣🤣
How did they not kick you out of CFH when you recorded this?😂
Can't lie the dad is actually spot on with this one. Mental health (depression specifically) is often tied to physical health and activity. Once you get out of there and start moving, it tends to get a lot better. When you don't have a job and aren't active, it negatively affects your mental health as well. The issue is that it's hard to get moving in the first place and when you're depressed you end up wallowing in your own misery. Speaking from personal experience btw, honestly once you take that first step forward things get a lot easier. Just sitting around only makes it worse.
WHY IS HIS VIDEOS SOO FUNNY I LOVE THIS GUY.
Bipolar disorder ❌
Borderline personality disorder ❌
Bipolar personality disorder ✅
Same here all I need is God🙏 Great video. I'm going to probably start exercising and eating more fruits now tho😂
im going to tell you this right now Dylan. You and Chelsea brought me through quarantine. The laughs I’d get from your videos were so crazy my abs would start burning as me and my brother would die on the floor watching your videos (your mom just has to pay a $400 admin fee 😂😂). Your videos made my life so much easier during quarantine and just kept me trudging along such a hard time. Although I have been very busy and haven’t had much chance to watch your recent videos since quarantine ended, I wanted to tell you your positivity and joy showed me there’s always light in tough situations. That helped me get through high school were I have been able to graduate at a high class rank while getting an opportunity to play football in college as well. I could not have done so if I didn’t have something I could look forward to bringing me out of quarantine. One day when I make it, I got something for you man… just remember me. You’ve made a real impact Dylan.
It’s the same for South Asians
"They would kill like that" 😂😂
everyone wearing a beanie 🤣
"Seems devilish to me" is insane😂😂😂
Man said fiddling with my kid 😮😅
