    His pressing strength is just unreal. Such speed and power on the bench and putting the bar overhead.

    Gunthor would have made an incredible Olympic super heavyweight weightlifter. He's the same height as
    Salimi. I've never seen any athlete throw massive weight about with such disdain and ease.

    Ornamentation, now thats a good definition of what Werner is doing. I bet he does that shit because he has to spend a certain amount of time training and bench presses and cleans only use up a little of that time. Oh, and curls, he probably spends at least an hour doing that specific lift. I saw a video of the Big O throwing puds once, what a waste of time, plus he was smoking when he was doing it, what a loser.

  • @SuperOlds88

  • @decadyne
    @decadyne 12 лет назад +10

    I will bet you a lot of money that no power lifter (who is not an actual thrower) who benches 1000lbs (or 800 or 900) can NOT beat an elite shotputter or discus thrower.
    You really do not understand what being an athlete is.

    • @Chris_Jenkins_Wales_Strongest
      @Chris_Jenkins_Wales_Strongest 7 лет назад +1

      Beat them in what? Do you mean all round athleticism?? Throwers are excellent athletes. I have competed for many years in powerlifting. I have not benched anywhere near those numbers, but I have deadlifted close to 800. I can run jump and compete in other power sports like judo. Its the individual, not the sport.

  • @SuperOlds88

    Oh come on, especially if they wore a bench press shirt. Just cock the arm back and jam the shot under the chin. Wouldn't need much of a glide or a spin, just get to the front of the circle and bang, its gone. Legs are over-rated in throwing anyway, they just make you foul. You could be a really short guy too and throw 25m+. Maybe wearing a supersuit would help too. Them elite athletes don't seem to be too creative, bench pressing is where its at man.

  • @SuperOlds88
    @SuperOlds88 12 лет назад

    Yeah, I agree, why throw things? I mean come on, he's a thrower so throwers need to be as strong as possible in weightlifting. In fact why ever practice throwing, just lift. I am sure there is an exact correlation between bench pressing and how far your gonna throw the shot in competition. I bet those modern power lifters who bench a 1000 lbs could probably throw like 80 ft. easy. Especially with one of those cool bench press shirts. Can you wear one in track competitions?
