Sir everyone speaks about “talking to seniors and alumni” but nobody speaks about the problem of how unapproachable these people are. Not many speak about how scared and brainwashed these people are that students don’t tend to reply properly or give undiplomatic honest answers. It feels like they’re scared of something and covering up something and giving diplomatic non helpful answers!

Sir I've converted Ranchi and Kashipur, and I'm waitlisted in Udaipur, Trichy, Nagpur and Raipur along with other baby IIMs that I'm not considering. Assuming I don't convert the waitlists, what would you recommend for Finance and Consulting?

See 1st It doesn’t matter if You don’t have a good past acads in 10/12/grad and if u are not from IIT NIT SRCC or from any prestigious organization like CA CFA FRM, There is a high chance that you are going to get placed in sales and marketing during the Summer internship irrespective of any IIM you choose.
You can check the data of All Baby IIM including shillong and You will find out that the the around 40%+ of the batch are placed in Sales and Marketing across all New and Baby IIMS
2nd for your Final placement its unpredictable bcz if u out shine everyone during this 2 years u can get any role not the one that are in the ABC but yes you will get a role that most of your batch mates dreamed of.
3rd if u convert Udaipur go for it don’t listen anyone. Udaipur’ve a Audited report so its reliable and moreover its good in all the Domain.

There is no difference, Trichy for Fin, Raipur for S&M and Ops, Udaipur for S&M and Consulting.
