He reminds me off my Dad. Down to earth, a London accent and an honest man. Keep going Ivan, you're a joy to watch. Talk about anything you like, it's always fascinating.
What a brilliant channel! Heart warming; funny; entertaining; educational and just great viewing. It’s nice to enjoy the “company” of down to earth, decent people. 😀 I wouldn’t bet against Ivan still racing at 94! Thanks Ivan, Suzy and John.
I Like the new "TinTinesque" drawing of the Hall & Scott, and I'm glad we still have the Brrm Brrm. You need a page for your Merch on the website, and what's available
That chair is beautiful. Thanks Suzie for shooting the video of the various jobs around the shop. It's always interesting to watch Ivan work through problems. Suzie, that 2002 tii is amazingly clean for it's age. I used to watch them race when new and it's hard to believe it's been 50+ years!
To those scientists working on extended life research, cell regrowth / repair and 500 year lifespans.. Not quite eternal, but never mind.. Please make Ivan 35 again. I don't think anybody would be more worthy and he could entertain the coming generations. And drive his Minis like a loony. Edit: PS. While you are at it, do Suzie too (make her 24). (And John, he can be permanently set around 38 to look after everyone).
Congratulations on getting the licence Ivan. So nice to visit with the "Shed Racing" folk once again this afternoon. And the new logo is really fabulous, keep on keeping on Ivan!
A couple of those metal pan scourers (the ones that look like bundled up swarf) stuck in the breather pipe will help the oil to condense out of the vapour and drip back to the sump/pan. I did a bodge like that on a tired old XR3.... Well done on your licence and the charity fundraising.
OK . . . if you know someone who might know someone who knows Lewis Hamilton . . . send him the clip. It would be hilarious if we can get Ivan in one of Lewis' old suits!
Loctite Grey 5699 will seal any mating surfaces 100% successfully, even badly distorted or damaged surfaces with up to 1mm gap. It’s easy to remove and one of two or three modern special silicone flange sealants. Yamabond and Permatex are also excellent Tiger seal isn’t the right material for the job. Really enjoy your videos.
From the Race Car Fabby in the Wine Country of Northern California I must say that I like the new logo and simply have always loved Ivan’s “ramblings”! He can ramble on about cars and his life as long as his heart desires!

Thanks - we're not set up for T-shirt sales in an online shop as yet but please email us and we'll sort it- the email address is at the top of the channel in the info section.
Good Evening Team. It always great to see Two skilled Automotive Engineers getting back to basics. And of course having the Toil well recorded, thanks Suzie. Regards from WLG NZL.
congratulations on getting your race licence renewal cant wait to see you back on the track , the hall and scott is certainly giving you lots of added bonus issues ps i love the collection of cars but the 308 is so beautiful
Another brilliant vlog ,it's great how you explain the problems and then tell us how your going to work them out while your working on the cars,my only complaint is the vlogs aren't long enough !!! 😀
Need to add a bit;there was a chap called Tom Delaney who raced a vintage Lea Francis well into his 90,s & at the time not so long ago he was the world.s oldest competition licence holder!Carry on Ivan! !Love the chair upstairs & the illustration of car & Ivan;if you have T-shirts done I'll have one! Cheers.

The new logo is a good picture of the H-S, but the old one never failed to make me smile Ivan, much better image of you and what Shed Racing's about. I think the new one will soon stop entertaining me! Brrm, brrm! Cheers from John Wilkinson, you might remember me (ex WATS and LSCC, mate of Bex and Slim)
The graphics showing the drawing of the new logo was Brilliant !! Well done Stephan ! Thank you for showing us the new modifications to keep the Bugatti breathing easier so you don't slick the track and beat your competition that way. You'll simply out drive everyone, as usual ;)
As always, Ivan's, detailed, fascinating and soothing dialogue takes the bumps out of any day. Thanks so, so much. Now I just watched the end of the video.......where do we buy the spiff new t-shirts, huh??
@@shed_racing I live in Canada but could you post a t- shirt to my cousin in UK? If it is a big hassle no worries, but… Maybe time for a store on the channel?
Another great video, with both good news re: license, and the wonderful new logo....have been enjoying Stefans' work even longer than Ivans' adventures. Best regards to the Shed Team from Colorado Springs!
Ivan, you are 500% better than anything on TV. Love all your episodes! Question: would it be possible for someone "across the pond" to purchase one of your t shirts or possibly a Shed Racing sticker?
We aren't set up for online sales as such but can sort you out. Please email us - email address given at top of our channel in the info section - provide postal address, phone number and size
Ivan, fantastic you have got your licence renewed, I think they miss understand you, I could say more but I had better shut up, Prescot here you come, great.
Brilliant video as always Ivan and team..Re overalls, speak to the club. Not sure if your aware but standards have changed for Hillclimbing, some competitors are wearing full leathers. My race suit I've been told is fine for hillclimbing but not for racing..I suspect you'll be fine with your old set providing zips and general condition are good...Good luck, see you at Prescott.
we aren't doing online sales as such as bit short of resource - we do have some T-shirts so please email us at the address at the top of our channel in the 'About' section with size, address and contact number
This was a nice video with loads of information. I like your idea of the crankcase ventilation for the Hall and Scott engine. How about also hooking up a breather to the intake so that it also helps sucking the air out of the crankcase. I like the logo for your channel and would love to buy a sticker for my car and a T shirt if possible. I contributed when Suzy did the bike race and I would like to help out with what you raise for charity.

I thought you only had to have "in year" racewear for circuit racing not hillclimbing & I remember when you could get away with Proban overalls as opposed to full Nomex for H/climbs.You may remember this Ivan;going way back (60,early 70,s) the only directive, as I recall was, "arms must be covered",imagine!!! I'm all for safety but that some is a bit OTT.
I want one of those tee shirts please! When will they be going on sale Ivan? The chair looks splendid and believe it or not despite all those angles, that is a fairly simplistic design, and pretty easy to make to a woodworker like myself. The Chestnut looks nice. (It would have been a lot cheaper in French Oak though lol)

The stainless steel type. Or an alternative would be a loose roll of S/Steel mesh

Ducati 916 use a petal (one way) breather valve, I used one on a race 1275cc Vincent and it worked well. Just a thought.

really helpful thanks
Great fun.
Ivan what is Tiger Seal is like Hermatite instant gasket , that orange stuff
I love Utube for magic like this !
if you can get the air coming out of the breather to " spin" the oil will separate to the outer walls and drain back.
There was a 2002 Touring for sale at Silverstone Festival. Same colour as Suzie's.
Hi Ivan what type of moped is the silver one in your office please,
Keep the videos coming old boy 😄.

What about lowering the pressure inside the sump like they do on modern cars? A breather is connected to the intake manifold.

whynot try breathing the crankcase throuhg the induction system could be jusy partialy just to get rid of the crankcase preasure

The bigger diameter the breather hole ( more area), the lower the velocity of the air (blowby), and the oil will no longer get entrained into the air.
How does it go “ I’m just a couple more years than you baby baby that’s all”!
Decades more like !!
