    I've had issues with my Master Airscrew props. In sports mode my camera started shaking like crazy. I brought some for my Mini 3 but I'm not sure if I'm going to them on. I pulled them off of my Mavic 3 pro and my Mavic Air 2 would vibrate across the table with them on. I'll stick to OMP DJI props but I really wanted to like Master Airscrews

    stock closer to the almost at 30 minutes for flight time when operating and actively flying casually. Just did it today :) if the master props are quieter I am interested.

    When we switched out the OEM props with Master Airscrew props, we noticed improved noise reduction. This helps when most people who don't like drones are less likely to become aware of their presence and thus less likely to bother you as you try to do your job. I wasn't aware of the flight time change though. That's good to know.

    did you here about since DJI firmware update for the mavic 3 fly more bundle it’s having an issue with the Digital zoom as in you have to mess with it tell it works and an issue a lot of drone pilots are having for some reason when you use the scroll wheel on the smart controller as well same thing happens…. It was because of the last DJI firmware update for some reason ….

      Good to know! Maybe I should hold off on that update... or at least keep an eye out when I do the update. The never-ending Mavic 3 saga isn't over, I guess!

    Thanks for reviewing but after trying MAS on a Mavic Air and Mavic 2 Pro / Zoom, I will sadly say that although they are a great company, I see no advantage to substituting the already good DJI rotors on the Mavic 3.

    I’ve heard good things about Master Air Screw over the past few years, and it seems like you had success testing them out. So quiet they put Kris to sleep. Great review Kelly, and thanks for sharing.

    Color preferences are subjective, of course. I tried the green MAS props on my Mini 3 Pro and felt that it made the drone look more like a cheap toy, so I switched to the black MAS props. I like the looks of the stock DJI props better, though, with the tiny orange tips. I haven't noticed any significant difference with the sound when running MAS props.

  • @tonysimek
    @tonysimek 2 года назад +2

    I like the MAS props. Current set I have on my 3 though does a funky vibration thing when starting up that doesn't happen with OEM. May just be a bad set so I need to just grow up and swap em out. They are pretty reasonably priced. I like the orange and red colors from MAS the best.

    So you have determined that the DJI props fly longer if you put it in a hover and fall asleep. That isn't real world experience. Any fixed pitch propeller is a compromise. It is great (maybe) at one thing but less efficient at other things. A prop that is great for takeoffs and climbs isn't necessarily the same prop that gives the best cruise performance. So while the DJI props might excel at sitting still while someone takes a nap, they might not show their benefits until you see them at high speed. Or normal speed. Hovering is its own special set of circumstances for a prop. If you listen to them you notice the DJI is a higher pitch. That means it's spinning faster. Spinning faster to sit still in the air. You might think "oh the master airscrew has to work less hard" well, no it just has to spin slower to move the same amount of air. It is pitched to take a bigger bite out of the air than the OEM prop. That is good for higher speeds like crossing to the area you wish to fly from, but less efficient at climbing quickly. If the emphasis is on "Stealth" then emphasis will likely not also be "Speed" etc.

    • @readysetdrone
      @readysetdrone  Год назад +1

      I tested it by hovering in one place, by flying at a relatively constant speed in cine mode, as well as in normal mode.
      See all the results at 3:15.
      All of those tests resulted in DJI OEM props providing longer flight time.
      I know it wasn't the most scientific test, but I thought it was real world -- not just a hover test, but actually flying around.
      Thanks for the comment.

    I use Master Airscrew props on both my Mavic Air 2 and my Air 2s, the lower tone is less annoying and like the bright colours.

    I thought that whining sound was the motors making noise I just sent one in for repair just to get told that it was normal operation didn't realize it was the props until I got a set of Master airscrews and the whining sound was gone instantly. Now that I have the Mavic 3 Pro I wonder if they would make a difference on it as well.

    I found that there props flexed to much as i had a skin on my drone, and after a couple weeks of flying i noticed that they were scraping my skin on the top of the drone.

    • @readysetdrone
      @readysetdrone  Год назад

      Yeah, they are more flexible... On top of that, the results we got (less or similar flight time) makes them a harder sell for the Mavic 3.

  • @stephendoggett190

    My experiences with Master Airscrew are not good. I bought them for the original DJI Air, and the drone became very unstable with the MAs, jumping all about. Plus there were constant error messages with these props. Thus I stay with DJI props and never ever had a problem with them. Who cares about a few seconds of flight if the drone comes unstable with third party props!

    • @readysetdrone
      @readysetdrone  2 года назад

      As I mentioned in this video, these props actually provide less flight time, not more, which is not what I expected.

    Buy them only for the colors, that's it. I've been using them on my Air 2s, don't plan to buy them for my Mavic 3. They do give less flight time, which is what video stated and it is a fact. Sound level is just a matter of seconds, once drone is in the air at about 250-300ft the noise is gone either on DJI props or masterairscrew. Yes I did notice the noise reduction, more bass, but that doesn't justify buying them, people will stare at your drone anyway. People will not stare at your drone if it will be completely silent LOL. Again buy them only for color, sort of to dress your drone..
