THIS MOD HAS BEEN UPDATED: most things in this video should still be correct, but there's a couple of cool new features in the latest version. Specifically, you can now replace the requirement of finding the Rold medallion with needing some number of greatrunes instead. There's also options for removing the stat requirements for weapons and spells/incantations, and an option for only needing one smithing stone per level for non-somber weapon upgrades.
How do you lock items by rarity, like if i go somewhere where there is usually a legendary item, i get a different legendary item, cause 90% of the time. bosses or tough enemies just drop shit runes you'd find in the open world.
Hmm I'm not sure that there's a way to do this. Anything that isn't a "key item" gets put in the same randomization pool, and they just get put in all the spots where the key items aren't. Not knowing if an item location will give anything useful is kind of part of the "charm" of randomizers, though of course it can be especially brutal in a game like Elden Ring.
That's a good question, but that's not something I've personally played around with. I imagine those mods would work fine with the randomizer, but that's just an assumption on my part.
you should still be able to get into the towers the same way as the base game, as far as I know. I don't think the randomizer changes the tortoises but I could be wrong
If you're looking to play the same randomization as someone else, the easiest would be to just use the same seed. If you know the seed number for the randomizer, then you can just enter that seed and randomize yourself, and in theory it should give the same result. Someone could also share the randomization files themselves that the mod generates, and then you would just put them in the correct folders on your end. But if you don't have the seed number or access to those files then I don't think you could replicate someone else's randomization on purpose.
eldenring isnt meant to be played as complete shuffle randomizer. the big empty world is the problem again. you have to ride for hours until you find a good weapon, enough souls and enemies that can be beaten. in dark souls 1, i normally run and loot for ~90 minutes, then i have a good weapon to start with, enough souls and the run can begin. in eldenring its searching for multiple hours. it didnt feels like fun, its work. its a shame that this game destroys its own Replay value
I mean, it's okay if not everyone enjoys it. Personally I enjoy the riding around, and I have fun making do with the random weapons/items that I find. How long you hunt will kind of come down to preference and playstyle, but "multiple hours" before the "run begins" seems like a lot. When I was playing this more regularly, I was able to beat the full randomized game in 10-12 hours. Also, the dev of this mod mentioned that when the DLC content is fully incorporated, there will be an option that gives you some starting levels/equipment and starts you in the DLC area, without having to play the base game, so that might provide a more "instant action" mode if that's what you're wanting.
@@unchowder for me it´s often a case of "ok which boss is here? it´s xyz and too strong now. mark its strength on map with skull symbols and search for the next boss location." i dont want to play a randomized version, where the progression is similar to basegame. and i dont want to get malenias 480k souls from a boss with 4000hp. eldenring is way to big and empty, and so its horrible difficult to get some souls, make some level, get stronger and be ready for the fights. you can ride and loot around for hours before you get a huge amount of souls for raising stats. and i don´t want to do it like a sl1 run. i want to fight with what i get, but fighting radahn with 150 dmg is a joke, as example. ds1 is much more suitable for randomizer because of the tight world, which gives higher chance for ok-ish weapons, high amount of souls and if lucky enough, upgrade material. and bosses are closer together, so you dont have many time until finding a do-able boss. i really would like to love this game as much as many other people do, but the progression speed is way too slow with all the riding around over empty fields with grass and rocks, no matter if vanilla game or randomized 😕

Super helpful thanks, i was stuck looking for fingerslayer blade
Thank you for all the info and tips!
Would love to try this starting off as a wretch and scavenge everything I can get!
Excellent video! It was just the right thing me and my friend were looking for 😎👍
nice vid!! i've also played a bit of rando and you are right, smithing stones do not appear in the overworld even when rando'd.

hi i beat rykard and got 20k runes instead of the normal ammount how can i fix this? i’m new to mods thanks
Are you able to add a uncapped fps with this mod. If yes what mod and what method do you use.

What do I do at the sealed towers which need the giant tortises? Did the tortises get replaced and how do I know?

Can i ask how do i copy someone elses settings as notes to my randomizer
