There are a couple lots you can park at on the Canadian side it depends where you want to go. If you want to fish the whirlpool, park at the fisherman’s lot and head right down the path, stairs lead down right to the whirlpool. If you want to fish other parks of the river you can hike down river or park in front of the nature centre and walk down the metal stairs to the river
@@gabef3842 Thank you so much for the response. I will try these locations. I’ve been fishing for couple of years now but mostly small lakes and creeks. Any suggestions before someone actually get into trout fishing?
@@tolkinyunusov if you are fishing the Niagara, I wouldn’t wade in the river as the current is extremely strong, and watch out for the water levels because they rise and drop really fast due to the hydro plant on the river. You can get them on some bigger spoons and spinners in the Niagara, but floating beads/roe in the fall and minnow imitations in the winter is probably the most successful methods I’ve seen. Pete’s bait and tackle in St. Catherine’s is the best local shop and they have everything you’ll need for the area. Good luck!
Trolling for walleye in the lake we catch sheephead all the time on crank baits
I’ve seen people catch them but not often. Also never at night! They actually put up a decent fight I was surprised when he caught it!
@@jdawgsjigs0124 They do put up a fight! My grandpa would keep them and put them on his smoker, they are actually really good smoked.
Is this Canadian side? Where do you park?
This is the US side, I am not sure where they park on the Canadian side but I do see people on that side every so often!

Salmon bite in lower has been awful this year. Such a small amount that came in this year.
You’re right! We’ve only gotten a couple this year and haven’t really seen a lot jump which is unusual.
