- This is my version of shady grove. I recorded myself playing the guitar first, then the banjo, and finally finished with the fiddle. I used a martin guitar, a yamaha fiddle, and a deering banjo.

I sang this song to my little Pomeranian up until she died, the Tuesday before last. How I loved that little lady 😢
That’s very touching. 😢 may she rest in peace. ❤
One of the worlds most incredible love songs! Brilliant work putting all these instruments together and great singing! Sounds amazing!
Thanks a ton Mr. Dan. I’m trying to be more relaxed when I sing. I notice people like you make it sound effortless. The style of your singing seems extremely relaxed and clear. That’s definitely something I’d like to emulate. All the best my friend!
@@Orourkebanjo It`s been very difficult to sing. Takes me many takes just to get a decent one. I used to sing in much higher keys and was trying imitate others but Now I sing in my normal vocal range and try to find my own style and sound, You are sounding great here!
@@DanDDirges it’s been a struggle for me to accept myself for who I am musically, and I may not be fully there yet. I used to try and imitate others to an absurd degree. Now I have finally realized I am me. I can certainly emulate people I admire, but now I allow my own natural and flawed personality out through the music. I guess it’s ok. I know I’m not the best. I just want to make my own humble expression, and I hope maybe some young person will listen and be inspired to pick up the tradition. It’s a very cold digital world. Things like this lead me back to the nostalgia of a simpler time.
very beautiful
@@NereaTheFiddler thanks a ton. I’m a very amateur fiddler. I’m more of a claw hammer banjo player, but I have a blast playing and learning fiddle. You’re awesome.
@@Orourkebanjo sounds great regardless of amateur or not
