At the time, I did not have one that fit my camera, but....good news I have since built one using a 3D printer! Stay tuned I will show that in a future video, I think it is pretty cool.
Not strange at all, in fact I am a little surprised you are the first to ask this. Honestly, if feels a bit cheap. I have been investigating DIY leather wrap options and will probably cover this in a future video
I have never owned a vehicle with a leather wrapped steering wheel. Having a base steering wheel will be easier to clean off if you get mud inside the vehicle. We have become spoiled as a society over the past 30 years as vehicles have way too much bigh technology in them. I do not need a huge 10 to 12" infotainment system with navigation. Those are just expensive components that make vehicle prices skyrocket and repair cost be way too expensive after your warranty expires. In high school I drove my dad's 1978 chevy silverado. Wish that modern auto manufacturers would build more base models as all I need in a nice 4x4 vehicle would be power locks and windows, cruise control and a nice am/fm stereo with a cd player and good speakers like kickers,Fosgate or jbl brands.
Good points. I like working on older cars and you are right, new cars have a lot more technology that make them harder for novice mechanics like me to fix. The clear reason why automakers lean toward fancy stuff: they make more money selling them. Base sounds like a good fit for you, you can choose what to upgrade depending on what is important for you, for example speakers.
I’ll chime in, as our Bronco Sport has the same sort of plastic material. It’s okay, nothing spectacular. Durable is the word that comes to mind. Easy to clean. Is still soft enough that it doesn’t hurt your hands for long drives.
How is your manual transmission doing? My Bronco 7sp MT started making tin can like swirling grinding noises, sometimes squealing or howling noise in neutral, first and second gear. This started happening around 2000miles on the ODO. Also coincided with the colder weather.
I have not had any problems, but I keep my Bronco in a garage where it does not get too cold. I was thinking I might leave it in the driveway on a cold day just to test it. Unfortunately it does sound like there have been a number of reports of others having the same noise that you have, and especially at colder temperatures. You are going to want to call your dealer and reference TSB 22-2371. I see @trailmx2582 that you have already seen it, but for others that might read this I will also link a video that discusses this problem ruclips.net/video/JCRx5S3Vf_o/видео.html
I will do that. I can tell you, in 4LO with the manual transmission in crawl, the gear ratio is insane. The Bronco will redline at about 4 mph. It feels like it could climb up a wall!
@@BudgetBronco ha. Actually looking into this minute. Was looking for a registration email when I saw this notification. They allow it, but close it for Piping Plovers for some reason. I grew up in Duxbury on the south shore where we also drive on. It’s awesome.
Great to see you trying out your base bronco. Check out the RUclips channel: horsin around. They also have a base bronco that they have taken through some pretty rough spots.
I have watched, they seem like real nice people and I enjoy their videos. It definitely makes me wish I lived out West. Here in Western PA we really don't have anything like those trails.
Great video, thank you for sharing. Looks like you had a blast.
I did and thanks for watching!
Look like you didn’t use the camera mount on the dash. Any reason why?

Strange question…but how does the steering wheel feel? The material I mean. I noticed the base isn’t leather wrapped.

@@BudgetBronco Thank you!
Looks like you had fun. In a future off road video I’d be curious to see how well the crawler grear does in 4lo.

I saw the Hyannis FD hat in another video and hoped this park was local in Massachusetts. No such luck :(
Ya, far from there unfortunately. Do they still allow off road driving on Sandy Neck beach?
