Honestly I used to run n gun everywhere but this past week I started sniping a lot on lighthouse and there’s just somthing satisfying hiding on the top of a hill getting those 200m headshots
Lol I’m too impatient to sit on one spot, but I rotate from hill to hill and scout the areas often. Stop when I see something.

Head eyes and things like the kedr and shotguns are pretty good eqaulizers. Also consider that the svd isnt that expensive and even the cheapest ammo for it will compete with any armor, ive 3 tapped killa with lps before, and ive point fire panic legged pmc's before with it too, with how high the damage is, if they are close enough to mag dump it matters less where you hit them, then actually just hitting them. Point is, game has options

That's probably one of the dumbest statements I've ever heard. Just because you get caught by snipers often doesn't mean they're bad at the game. How about taking a look at yourself and realizing that you might suck yourself and your map knowledge is lackluster. I get sniped occasionally but I know the hot spots and do my best to avoid them. There are incredibly skilled players that snipe. In fact I would argue to be an accurate effective sniper in tarkov you can't suck at the game.

For some reason whenever I try to scav it says "server connection lose" and no matter what I do to try and stop it nothing works I can restart my game, my whole pc, clear my cache and do an integrity check but nothing works. And then if I do a Pmc raid it always works. Dose anyone know what's going on?

I need help with this game the only map I’ve been able to learn in my second month of playing is shoreline I’ve made about 12-20m but the other maps besides interchange I suck at

Yo, what’s the farthest you’ve been able to kill on woods; or is that a bad map to snipe? I can’t find anything clear past 300 meters out.
I think Lighthouse is the easiest because it’s got so many open lanes and cliffs. The only way I can think of hitting more than 300 on Woods would be from the top of the middle mountain. Maybe also accross the lake?

There is. You can change the elevation on your scope to compensate for it, which is what I was doing.

@@JadedGoldfish74 he just calculated the meters from the enemy and put the meters on the gun with a keybind so it automatically makes the bullet drop centered

not if you zero your distance. After a while you kinda learn the distance and adjust your scope, use a rangefinder while you learn.

Any game that portrays snipers as a red dot- head shot means they didnt put enough time details. If ur 500 yards away u won’t be aiming on the same indication marker as u would 150 years away….

We actually adjust sights for distance in Tarkov. I raised the scope for 150-200m for these shots.

aiming in tarkov is so noob you dont even have to worry about range LOL
That's just not true, I zero my sights every time I take a shot over 100m. On this map I generally know most distances by memory so it makes it easier, but I always carry a rangefinder for when I have doubts.
@PistolPetePR this is because from what i can tell you generally run dmrs. You aren't really a sniper you are a designated marksman. Your moa will be more open and inconsistent from the bolt actions. A remington 700 using m60 i think sighted at 50 yards is dead on at 150 and you dont have to worry about your moa gap being to open. As nice as dmrs are for follow up shots snipers just make your first shot easymode.
