      I was wondering about that. I thought canola is what we call oilseed rape in the Uk but that is always black seed

    Must be the heat that turned it a brown color?
    Was reading oil content is low this yr and the protein is very high due to the heat.

    What is the oil content of the canola? Looks really red/brown. If we get canola that colour it's got low oil content. We are looking for 40% oil content. What are you guy looking for?

    Hi Mike you are spending a lot of time up North is that so Ashtyn is near home and hospital for the birth?
    Any plans to expand up their or work with your iaws? Do your brothers mind all the time you spend up there?

    I don’t know jack but, from watching Zach and Chet I think you are onto something with the large amount of bins and the simple unload system. However I don’t see you needing to run a dryer so maybe that is why the corn amd bean farmers in the lower 48 need the complex legs chutes, dump pits etc. Honestly those mini elevator sites I just described look like a horrible maintenance nightmare and ungodly expensive.

      Everyone to their own, but even with a dryer I am definitely not a fan of leg setups.. That's forsure

Anyway, as a father of 4 boys cannot wait for you both to experience the birth which is incredible especially the first time, when you are finally loading up to go home and driving away you are like holy crap we have our own little human to care for!! it is the toughest job you will ever love. Wish you the best you guys will be awesome! Much respect from Corunna, Indiana USA. Your channel is the best day in day out period.

    As a trucker the 10" is ok. But I've been loading under a 16" at a big farm. Truckers like big augers. Lol

      I was using a 10 inch auger out of 11,000 bu hopper bin, trucker said I should have a bigger auger. I said ok I will go get my 7 inch with a wore out flighting and go to the 2000 bu wooden bin with wires.
      His last comment was all farms should only have hopper bins. I had to walk away before I said something I may have regretted.

      @@davezalinko1354 I'm thinking with some of the crops this year lot of truckers will be looking for those loads. I've had truckers just happy to have business. That's brutal to complain about a ten inch.

      @@davezalinko1354 I like the farmers that tell me they buy a big auger because they know custom haulers can't be sitting all day lol A 10" is good tho. Better then a worn out 7"🙄

      @@sheldongoossen9771 I realize in a perfect world every truck would load under a elevated hopper. In a perfect world you would never have to wait in line for an hour at a terminal either.

    Need to take that Vanguard off and toss a Honda on it. Never had the greatest luck with Vanguard. Touchy motors especially the efi models

      Nha. They're just fine. Briggs ain't what it used to be but neither is Honda. They're all junk now.

      No sir, the north farm is only Mike & Ashtyn's hobby and another source of risk management. Mike's main farm will always be back home.

    I have noticed that you drive quit much. How many miles do you get in your truck yearly?

      He used to do 80-90000kms a year but that was before he took on the north farm. So I imagine it will be much higher now.

    Seafoam in the gas , for treatment. Corngas is destructive to the engine and gas delivery system , PERIOD !!!!! Always hang around until the loaded truck is safely back on the hard road and leaving the loadsite in a timely manner , PERIOD . When I die , don't let me vote democrat , PERIOD !!!!! Eh , Mike .

      I know a few farmers and a trucker that prefer them. Nice to use in a flat bin with easy to reach the controls. Lighter for transport as well.
