Beautiful country.
Those guy’s moved our bins! Abe did a great job.
Great awesome video mike , back watching ur videos, life had other prior commitments
Hey Mike something that may help you line up your bin, use some orange marker paint and spray you a straight line on the ground parallel with your pad. I used it for years when marking underground services. Maybe that will save you from having to get out of the skid steer so often.
Yep at my old job for trailers going to an indoor dock. Helped so much. Nice yellow line.
I'm sure loving your video's Mike!!!
Legend has it that bin is still tipping up to this day.
Hi Mike, great to see you back farming again, you're always doing something interesting and I just want to say I enjoy watching your videos, from the UK.
Mike, I miss your daily uploads. Hope all is well!
@tiny fast I miss the daily uploads also.
Hi Mike!
When it comes to being straight and level, I use a lasor. I am more than picky!
Close is used in hand grenades and love.
Best Wishes, and GOD BLESS!
Gary
Haha I did use a laser for the pad build to be sure I was level.. I should have used paint to keep my centre line 🤷🏻♂️😂
I love your plaque on your dash.
You need another one referencing your craziness 😂🤣
I am not sure
Decisive is a business. Thats not his thing, it's a marketing item from Decisive. It's basically a farming data management business.
@Stayyten L 👺👹you’re buddy
Great video Mike good luck moving bins
Ya, I'm not sure if I'm decisive or not either. :p Your little caption on the top of the dash. Thought that I subscribed/notified to the channel but I'm not getting the message. Hmmm
Very interesting, good job 👍👍
Driving home 565 km in a Kubota, that's dedication :P
NEXT YEAR GET A FENDT 937H RoGator sprayer I think you'll love it comes with 130 ft boom 1300 gallon tank
I’m not that worried about perfection, two hours later and 2 inches. I think it’s good.
Great Video, thanks for sharing
At least you got the right truck for the job. Cummins power
When lining up bins
Iv always said looking square is more important than being square
Iv measured stuff before and optical illusion mass it look not right
If its structural then keep it actually square
If its for looks like lining up bins then by eye is far better than a tape measure or any thing else
Thanks Mike!
Good family friend means no cost for the move.lol
Great video mike!
Those bins look good from Stony Point NC ....lol
Awesome👍
Baling Twine won’t work, but a line of spray paint would. Glad to see you are getting set up on the new land
I love that trailer
The sign "SLOW CHILDREN AT PLAY" always makes me say poor kids LOL
Mike Mitchell quick question ...how many bushels do the biggest grain bags hold that u use
Hey Mike there's nothing like seeing straight bins in line or anything else I'm so bad all my fence posts line up if you stand up behind my posts and look right to left they line up multiple times only the odds are out of sync hahaha
Spray paint the ground would also work😎👍
Great videos Mike. Been watching not quite 2 years. Hope the trolls leave you alone.
Aren’t you one of them
I'm not for the twine, but if you would set the bin down first.. then pulled the string tight between the stakes above the skids...
Just stirring the pot lol
Even if you have to paint it, it is a lot nicer hauling it with that machine than picking and laying on a trailer.
Those bin make that beast of a dodge look small
Good job! I would have used paint on the gravel and a plumb bob to hit the center X
For a fertilizer bin? Why do all that work and waste the time? Just get it close so it looks good.
But it is Mike and that’s what makes Him special to watch. Lol! Otherwise he would be boring
Hello Mike big silos😂🤣😅👍🇮🇹
Put a spot of paint in the center point where the grain comes out
I’m just glad to have a better germination rate at home than you had on the farm.
good afternoon, wheat began to be harvested? And how is the harvest?
Next demo- Hagie STS20, hands down... order maybe four of them... 🙂
Twine...... use a laser 😎
I probably missed it (as usual) but is anchoring it in compacted dirt effective (versus anchoring in concrete)?
"Hasta la vista" Adios Amigos, Mike
or just run paint lines then would give you closer to lines
Crops on your north farms still hanging in? Any rain at home?
Afternoon.
A construction buddy with a laser you can borrow would be useful.
Use the bucket to bash the peg in. Oh, thinking out of the box again....
Farvel ( Danish ) = Goodbye now you got another one :D
Morning
Not strapped down?
Why is the alignment so critical? Does it have to do with the loading and unloading?
I didnt remember waching the drill
I only started then Larry came, so didn't even include it
Hey Mike. All that pulling and pushing is just cause you’re a bit of a perfectionist. Does the gap between
The bins make them hold more 😹😹
Mike How's harvest going
You have to like anyone with the name Larry
Hi Mike. What is the biggest bins that they can move whole?
@@amigo3284 Thank you.
@@bobwest2807 I just talked with Larry, he can move up to 24 foot diameter bins.
Maybe you can't pleace it too the fields and load it's not soo fare and closer for the load for fertlizer the fields with the sprayers and lot more
How big is one of the bins
Trying to convince us you're not anal about lining bins up, hilarious!
Auf wiedersehen
What’s with the indecisive sign in the truck?
what is your price for wheat?
"He's the eye baller.... I'm just the baller" lol
Haha 🤣🤷🏻♂️
Maybe a can of spray paint to mark centre?
That's a great idea! 🙂😂
so storing the bins was a ploy to visit his daughter now u got his daughter u dont need excuse to visit
😉😂
Mike, come on. Your fussy about where the bin goes but it creates a nice symmetry round the place
It's his bins. He can do as he pleases.
Great video Mike, Blizzard What do you think obout the "OHenry" Blizzard
So how do you actually anchor the bins down, or do you just fill them with 10 tons of fertilizer and let the weight take care of it?
Lol that's one way but what happens when it's empty. ⚓ them down he said.
Haha no they will anchor them into the ground or cement.
The anchors don’t actually do much, if a wind is strong enough they rip the anchors right out of the ground. Ask me how I know. The anchors have to be in to be able to insure a bin though.
@@davidlogel2350 true.
How do you anchor them down? Or what type of anchor
Is this a permanent or temporary set up?
Unknown
Cella vee
Are you expanding your families farm, or are you venturing out on your own?
It's just our hobby farm, something I go to when I need a break from farming back home for right now
How do you anchor the bins when they are empty ?
Screw an anchor into the ground and hook a cable around the bin to the anchor.
Did i miss something? This looks like a new farm yard.Doesnt look so dry . I think you need cows.
It's up north for his land he farms up north by Ashtyns family.
Its up north where Ashtyns family is from
Is that a new Homestead, Mike?
Dad-in-Law's yard.
@@betadoctor
He moved those bins approx. 20 miles away from his Dad-in-Law's yard, to the new farm/homestead probably.
Yup...I think Mike is planning on expanding his nest, and moving a bit further north.
Probably he's moving up North within a few years, I can't imagine you can run two operations 560 km apart.
Do you try to achieve similar gaps between the bins to match what you can comfortably jump successfully
🤣😂
Makes it easier that way! Lol
@@mikemitchell2554 where is the fun in that?
Random distances between all bins to keep your head in the game :)
If you are wondering about the washing the bins bit, you are too poor to see that video 😁
Yeah. Whatever that means... If you talk about others finances and financial situations, your poor minded.
What?
@@max-jc4wq that video was posted only on patreon :)
@@FoodwaysDistribution ok
@Wayne Creek Land and Cattle Co. ok
Did i miss a Video? I have thr feeling i missed washing the drill
Edit: I should have checked what I wrote sry but I forgot to change the autocorrekt from German to English
Or sprayer (what ever you said at the beginning of the video)
@Stayyten L no thanks I am fine.
@Stayyten L Seriously dude?... Thats why people hate Christians and Catholics... If someone wants to hear or see or learn about God, they will seek it out. You can't be doing that man. That's not the Christian or Catholic way.
I saw in a comment Mike said he started washing the drill then the bin moving guy came so he didn't include it in the video.
@Stayyten L pls just stop you making a fool of yourself!
Pls stop using my comment for you religious beliefs!
Thank you
are you and your wife astabishing a new farmsite???
Yes
@@mikemitchell2554 love your content!
greetings from sweden
@@mikemitchell2554 when the time is right it would be interesting to hear the background behind yours and Ashtyn’s new farm site. Is it to spread out your risk, or eventually be able to go out on your own to separate from the family farm? More out of curiosity as I am working in establishing my own farm in Alberta. No pressure to share as I know it is a private and personal decision! Thanks Mike love the content!
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Is the north farm just yours and Ashtons?
Yes
@@mikemitchell2554 how big is the new farm?
Put flags in the ground to mark your points man
the kids get banished off reserves and just bring their crime to the ciity
Mike but when will you start harvest
I think they probable have already started.
@@max-jc4wq yea but why no vids my dude
