I don’t know what initially inspired you to start a RUclips channel but it was a great idea. I think watching your channel should be required for kids. The family working together, the close up view of farming and where our food comes from and the animal husbandry is what kids need to see.
Andrew I stopped at the market today to see you, but you had just left to go home and take care of your family. I was disappointed you were not there but I had the honor of meeting Pop Pop and some other members of your family. I picked up a nice kohlrabi to snack on, the ones you grow are twice the size of the ones I can get here in Michigan. The store was crazy busy which is a good thing. Your farm was number 3 on my 2 week journey through Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maine, and New York. I have 2 more farms, a Jersey hot dog stand and 2 pizza places before the 25th.
@@zippythechicken I have been waiting for months to make this trip. Had to get it done now, my health is not the best, I was worried I may never get another chance.
Grammy is organized and knows what she needs and when! You can tell that by the way she always has a beautiful lunch planned and prepared ON TIME, for everyone working on the farm. That takes a lot of planning and preparation!
Man im soo jealous of all the people who get the privilege of shopping at you guys farmers market. I have been to all the top brands supermarkets you name them Publics, Sprots, Fresh market, Harris tetter you name it and they don't even come close to the quality and variety you guys have. The produce are so fresh and i can also guarantee are the most tasty. The Creator is surely blessing all the hard work you all put into caring for those crops.I really wish i could get some of those vegetables for myself, but nonetheless i am so very happy for the fokes who are able to get them to enjoy. Keep up the good work guys. I love love love your channel and also how well you all work together as a family.
Granny is amazing. I would love for you to film her sharing her canning techniques. Her sauce today looked terrific. I love watching You. After watching your huge pepper harvest last year, I planted Cubanelles for the first time. It was very successful, and they are yummy. After today, I'd like to know the name of those beautiful large round tomatoes you picked. I'm 71, and because of You, I started gardening again a couple of years ago. I have learned a lot. Thank you
New to the family! been watching for 3 weeks now, I wish you'd also ask the girls to make video on about a day in the farm market I would love to see the locals buy the produce! ❤❤❤
Green Tomato Pie: 1 qt, thin sliced green tomatoes. 1 cup, brown sugar. 3/4 cup, molasses. 1 pinch, ground cloves. 1 tsp, cinnamon. 3 tbsp, apple cider vinegar. 2 1/2 tbsp, tapioca. 1/4 tsp, salt. Place all ingredients into a kettle and bring to a boil. Pour into an unbaked pie shell and top with unbaked pie lid. Bake at 400° until brown.
making pumpkin soup right now... probably not becoming a real gardener or farmer, but i love your work, and it makes me appreciate any real food so much more...
It’s been a bad year for tomatoes this year in Southern Fulton County, PA. I’m blessed for the ones I got to can. It was over 90F for three weeks straight plus that hurricane that dump water on us.
lots of love from Irish fan!!! SOOOOO FUNNY to see Crisis from Grammy averted with all the contributions! I'd love to see her watching this cackling at you guys!!
Listening to you pick peppers brings me such peace...I'm in awe at the different types, they are all beautiful. I also find harvest beautiful, the bounty of colors is amazing, Gods pallet. Thanks for the work you do to record and edit to bring those of us who miss growing our own the pleasure of enjoying it vicariously.
In a way I truly envy you, harvest is one of the best times of the year. One gets to see the end product of a summers work and care. Late fall crops are going in now, bok Choi, mustards, collards and a few others.
Totally love your VIDEOS,I Live in Australia have my own Veggie patch, grow enough for our selves and some neighbours ,I do grow peas, snow peas, all type of lettuce, tomatoes, corn, beetroot squash beans. Thanks kevin
Love how you all are so family oriented and truly care for each other. Don’t see that much anymore. The jokes made me giggle. Have use the round as tomato joke on my hubby. 😅 Have a blessed day.
Hello to all of you. Love the videos. I always learn something new. Can’t tell you how many times I have told someone about some thing I’ve learned on your channel with the tomatoes and the gas that they put off or the corn and what to look for if you’re picking. Just very interesting facts. So how old is Callie now she’s getting quite big. And your twins are absolutely beautiful. I certainly hope Lauren is doing well. We don’t see much of her anymore but she’s a little busy we understand. Anyway thank you again and have a wonderful week.
Totally agree with you Andrew beautiful really is the only word to describe the magnificent harvests picked ❤❤ Another great video 👏👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Love from the UK x
What a great day. You guys make harvesting a real joy yo watch. Your family is fantastic. Beautiful is the perfect description for those veggies. Babies are adorable. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hey Andrew, I think those huge tomatoes are the Red Snapper. Petty sure you planted those. 😊😊The Caribe are large ( heirloom) rounds, but not as big as the Red Snapper ( hybrids)
Mums the Word this Time of Year. They’re Beautiful and Super Colorful. The only issue with them is their Season is short until the 1st Frost. Thanks Andrew! 👍🙏
Wow that first planting of tomatoes really looks good still.. I remember the last few years, the plants were lot more yellow by now, although of course they still had tons of tomatoes, but that first planting is still pretty green! Nice plants this year!
Boy I love watching your videos and the family working together! your produce looks awesome! I live in metro phoenix az area and talk about a challenge to grow produce. But I keep trying.
I have been watching your channel for about 3 years now, (from Israel). I watch your videos when I am exercising on my stationary bicycle, really makes the time go by more quickly. I also have a big family with adult kids who love each other and help each other in many ways, and we have beautiful grandkids who bring us much joy. These are the true riches! Your harvest really is beautiful this year, you deserve it for all the hard work you do. In short, I love your channel and your family, have subscribed and like every video. Hope and pray it continues to grow!!
Something I picked up from Cuban's, they will eat tomatoes when they aren't fully ripe. I've been doing it for years and they make a good sandwich and they're good in salads. Try it sometime you might like them ,not only the firmness but the flavor is also good but different. Just Sayin ! Don't forget to tell Grammy hi from Panama City Florida, USA. 🇺🇸🦅 ! By the way, yes I still eat them fully ripe.
Watching you all picking tomatoes and peppers 🌶 and sweet corn never gets old. I am now starting to look forward to seeing your farm looking through the plants to see the vegetables ❤ specially tomatoes 🍅 😀. I often wonder if you picked the ones I saw 😅. How you all take care of Grammy is so sweet.
Here in southwestern Ontario, Canada, we received as much rain this summer as we received in five previous summers combined. My beets and my tomatoes all split.
I like Caponata. Progresso stopped canning it and i have no other choice, but it wss delicious!! Stuff egg plant is real good too!! Fried ok, parmasean. You can use it in pepper sauce for sausage and salami too!!
This video brought back a good memory 😂 about 30 years ago I had planted some better boys and I did everything you could do for tomatoes that you could do for growing great matters when they were ripe they were about the size of tennis balls I picked some and took them to work with me to show them off to my workers I was so proud then my 12 year old nephew showed up and said was that the best you got? He then left and came back with the largest tomatoes I'd ever seen 😮 I'm talking softball size WOW I said where did you get those tomatoes? He took me across the street to a old lot where a house trailer had once been the land was all grown up with weeds and where the septic tank was buried there was the greatest tomatoes I had ever seen 😊 Free range tomatoes that made mine look sickly 😂 just showed me you can't out do God hand 😂 thank you for all that you do ❤️
Those peppers and zucchini look amazing! Now I want some for dinner. See what you did?! LOL. Thank you for sharing your world. See you in the next one.
I know most of the veggies (tomatoes, and peppers, etc.) are wind pollinated but do you bring in any honey bees to help with everything else? Just wondering. Great video. I'm thinking about throwing my tomato trellis system out! It looks like your "plum" tomatoes are a "Roma" type. I know you said you planted RED DEUCE in a past video. (I checked) I bought some seed and my red deuce have been giving me a great big tomato just like your (the round ones). ALSO Martha Washington (round indeterminate). Thanks for sharing and best of luck to you and your family.
Your peppers are just amazing I can grow a lot of bell peppers but my sweet long peppers are not even close to yours so jelly. Really love your content 👍
You can blanch sweet corn for about 4 minutes with the husks on and freeze it, just throw it on the grill or in the microwave and finish cooking it. Nothing like grilled corn on the cob in December, just have to dress warmly (I'm in northern Maine).😁
This isn’t Grammy’s first rodeo with corn preservation…🌽🌽🌽 she knows what she wants! Andrew, Maybe you could ask her if she was creaming the corn since she needed bigger ears.👂🦻🦻 there are many chapters in the TOMATO book of knowledge 🍅🍅🍅🍅. It’s always interesting to learn something new. Another fantastic day on the farm❤❤❤❤
What a nice family! Those tomatoes look great. It makes me want to buy some and can them as well as sweet corn. Maybe I could drive those 1,600 one-way miles to your store this weekend!
A big shoutout to the agriculturists in the whole wide world, the video gives me a great level of understanding and still I’m grateful for your hard work 👍
we have been watching for a long while and I wish my tomatoes produced like that could you share the variety of those Roma tomatoes? i would love to plant some here in Arkansas.

@@danwollscheid8300 yes will be Chris’s

Grammy is organized and knows what she needs and when! You can tell that by the way she always has a beautiful lunch planned and prepared ON TIME, for everyone working on the farm.
That takes a lot of planning and preparation!
And does it day after day after day, probably for sixty years now.
PopPop: Just gettin' in shape.
Andrew: What shape are you getting into?
PopPop: Round

Oh my favorite meal I put bacon grease in mine to flavor it
Andrew the sectional farm picture on your wall that gets shown in several videos is it an old family farm? It sure is neat looking.

If at the end of the season , a freeze is forecasted-do you pick every tomato to ripen in your barn?
I love watching your videos. Helps me know how to pick good vegetables.
Question- how many corn can you pick off one stoke per season?
Nice tomatoes!!
we have been watching for a long while and I wish my tomatoes produced like that could you share the variety of those Roma tomatoes? i would love to plant some here in Arkansas.
